Accepted Now that you know breaking your sniper fire rate is exploiting, next time if you do this again it will result in a ban. Also if anyone breaks their weapons fire rate and it is there first offence they will receive a warn and jail for the reminder of war. After your first warn and continue to exploit your fire rate it will result in a 1 day ban. After the 1 day ban and proceeds to exploits your fire rate it will become a 2 day ban. If continued it will progress into a permanent ban.

Not saying what Coyote did was appropriate, but if you guys don't want to be bothered I recommend not doing it right outside of RU. The only thing you guys managed to accomplish is RDM and get yourselves in potential trouble.

The only issue with making it an instant permanent ban would be that it's so easy to accidentally do because of the period of time you have to skip the delay. I snipe in first person and most of the time I'm facing another sniper so therefore I go to strafe-run after I take my shot. Often that ends up skipping the delay and I base the time to fire again on when the weapon can scope in again (as the delay blocks that too). When strafing to avoid getting shot there are points of time when I accidentally skip that delay but have no intention on breaking the firerate [which also means not firing until I believe it is actually safe]. I understand this is a very big issue and people could use the "oh, I did it on accident" excuse but the only way that this would be solved safely (meaning not banning innocent players) would be to just fix the exploit, however that would take some large amount of work because I think it has something to do with the base weapon pack (CW2) and not the specific weapons. And you also have to think about newer players. We have no explanation of what "breaking firerate" is. In fact we have no mention outside of the forum posts regarding it becoming against the rules, which does make some sense considering it is an exploit. If a new player accidentally finds out that they can skip that delay assuming they snipe and strafe-run to avoid and they're not sure if its against the rules because it isn't explicitly defined as an exploit aside from the two to three posts it is somewhat defined in, an innocent player could potentially get banned without any warning or talk regarding the exploit. I believe the only people that are in risk of purposefully abusing the delay skip (breaking firerate) would be those who knew it existed beforehand. Accidents happen and seeing as this is less harmful than most of the other exploits and can happen in general gameplay means to me that it should come with some sort of warning rather than permanent ban. To the topic of the thread: -1. The evidence presented by the reporter shows you breaking the firerate. You know the rule exists and you know it falls under the category of exploiting, which is a permanent ban. I do agree that a warning should be in place but only situational.

Note: He was banned for the logs, not the video. The video was from I believe 2 days ago, which is when Jackal agreed to not ban, but give him a verbal. Br0ken pointed out, in 3 seconds, you shot and hit 3 times for 115 damage, that's not ricochet. Also, why would I wait 2 days to ban him off that video yet get log proof of a different war assuming I already verbally warned him? Jackal can vouch for me, Gamma was verballed already.

No, but I'm also not fine with people running around falsely banning. Your opinion to keep him banned when he was falsely banned shows that you are ban hungry. You want to keep him banned despite the procedure being false. Of fucking course not, in the video it shows his 2nd shot shooting faster than normal, meaning he exploited, but when that suggestion was accepted it was made clear that every person would get a verbal before they get a permanent ban. And Gamma apparently did not get one, making the ban f a l s e. That wasn't a dumb post, you wanting to keep him banned while it's fucking false is being ban hungry.

With all my time played on Gmod, the server that stands out to me the most is Garnet. Even when I took a break from Gmod to focus on other things, when I came back I didn't go to just any server, I went straight back to Garnet. When I was Vip Mod on Garnet, it was my first time ever being a mod on any server and it felt good doing sits and helping people have fun on the server and getting rid of the trolls who just come onto the server to be selfish and ruin everyone elses time, because it gives them a "laugh". It's a thrill knowing that you were able to help someone in need and get rid of a troublemaker who was ruining everyone elses time. If i'm going to be honest, when first playing Gmod I never thought in my right mind I would want to be someone on the staff team. Someone who sacrificed their Rp time to help others and the server out. But the more I played Gmod I knew that's exactly what I wanted to do. I'm willing to take away some of my own free time to help others out who truly want to have fun and just enjoy the game that they are playing. Garnet is a perfect blend of a community and a really fun server to be on and talk to people on. Mb, read over the logs. Those logs are pretty disgusting. I recently was brought to a sit for "breaking the firerate" even though it was just ricochet, but even then it only comes up at 2 shots. Pretty sure that means 3 damage logs has to be a minimum of 2 shots. -1 for appeal

Although a proper sit was never presented, "technically" you did get verbally warned. Since the correct staff procedure wasn't used theres a little problem here, it is unfair for you to be banned out of no where with no staff telling you first what you did. You should be banned for using this exploit in my opinion since I fucking hate exploiters and cheaters but staff handled it improperly. Gonna stand -1 for this one

+1. That app looks amazing and you seem dedicated. I am a little worried about that VIP Mod demotion, but I'm willing to give you another shot. National brings up a concern I have as well. Multiple staff who put lots of hours in during their first month usually get burnt out. It's great that you want to contribute time and help out the staff team, but do it in moderation. Don't feel pressured to keep playing; you can take breaks and play on and off. Otherwise, looks fantastic. Add Buddha to referals.

But alas, you took it upon yourself to mass in base, and get other people involved that weren't even involved in the first place. Learn from the mistake you made and come back in two weeks. Maybe read up on the rules or play on the DarkRP server, where you can farm from a money printer.

I am very curious if you're gonna stay active - considering you became VIPMod and left within a week resulting in your demotion for inactivity. However, you have a good application which is something you rarely see many people put much effort into anymore. Also, you meet all the requirements even with the low hours, I still believe you could benefit the server. The dedication you say you're willing to put into staff seems awesome, but my question is will you actually contribute the 9-10 hours during weekdays and 12-13 during weekends to the role? I'd honestly be careful saying you'd contribute that much - if you contribute that much towards the server, you're gonna find yourself burnt out in no time. Every staff member that applies and dedicates almost all the time they have on the server to the staff position, within a month or two they're sick of even thinking about the role. Make sure you're giving yourself some room to roleplay - but that also doesn't mean ignore sits, especially if we have numerous coming in. You're stating you have Teamspeak and a microphone, but I'd like to see you active. Most staff members aren't very active on Teamspeak, and if you use this to your advantage you'll be able to communicate so much easier. Also, you being able to record is another huge advantage as a staff member and I'm glad to see that you're able to record, but make sure you use that as an advantage. Just wanted to give you a few tips, but +1.

If he had the name first and you resolved the sit by telling him to change his name, then it wasn't really a done deal. Sure he could have just made it a forums report, but I could see why he'd take it to another sit seeing how he knows he had the name first. If you truly think he reported Vac out of spite or "pettiness" then that's fine, but if I felt like I got robbed in a sit, I personally would probably take it to another sit. Wasn't there for any of this obviously, but I could see how taking it to another sit would be reasonable if I was losing my name. Although I will say that having multiple names is retarded, however, if people are documented In my faction I prefer them to keep the same name they started with to avoid confusion on my docs. Lastly, everyone's so uptight lately. People would rather report over the stupidest shit instead of just having a conversation. Staff should not have been involved over "who gets to have what name" unless it was a genuine attempt at impersonation.

Krimzin said it was Hugo on docs and I was like ok so change your name then I resolved the first sit the one Vac put it. Then he put in another report instantly after that in order to get Vac to change his name which we already resolved therefore a false report. So it's a -1 since it was literally the same situation we were dealing with and he put it in right after just to mess with Vac. When I asked him why he was chuckling and saying things along the line Vac did it and had my name changed so why can't I do it. Also this is not why an appeal for a false report is made in order to keep your name, you could've resolved this with your officer. I stand by my false report warn, it was unnesscary and rather petty when you put in your report. And obviously I was not aware of the info Gotham stated which would've changed the results of the first sit. Also, every single one of these +1 does not contain any useful information to why his false report should be lifted, his name change is not relevant to why I gave him a false report warn. Also you lied about how I told someone else to change it in docs before the reports and both the Lt Gen and MAJ of Marsoc was present at the reports. So please don't accuse of me of sabotaging in order to give Vac the name which I have zero interest in.

+1 niggas really trying to bring back SEAL Sniper? That mk11 was shit, couldn't hit a moving target. yeah the mp5 sucks at further ranges, so SEALs are pretty much restricted to donors or CQC. SEAL Operator used to have an m4, which pretty much fit the further range role (as long as you can deal with recoil lmao). If anything, I would suggest even fucking nerfing the damage of the mp5 and putting it on medic like it was before (but with a hard nerf cause that thing was FUCKING op with the old medkit).

To be quite honest this was an issue before around November, A bug would occur and wouldn't hide the spectator's player model when they were spectating someone. So anyone and everyone could tell if a staff member was spectating someone. How long you were able to see them depended on each person, it varies. Not saying this happened in this case but for future reference this is a known bug.

Alright, so I'm a little confused on what happened. So all he did was kill him and then walk by and just randomly shoot his orsis near him for the verbal warning? How does that count as a "Verbal" warning? Or was he verbally warned previously before this clip and then he was caught again so bendak killed him and then just shot his orsis normally to show what it normally is for the report?
