  1. Daily Server Restarts Printer Upgrading All printer upgrades will be free for a grace period lasting 30 minutes following the server restart that occurs every 2 days at 5AM EST. You will know when this event is active as a notification will appear to the right side of everybody's screen Additionally, there will be the occasional reminders in chat while the event is on-going: Pointshop The size of the shop has doubled, as I've added many new items that are already on the server, as well as skins for others! Some notable items that have been added: The Pinched Turd We needed an affordable body category item, and I thought of something I would genuinely want myself. Black Mage - Cape & Hat Cat Tail Not proud of this one (furries) Bunny Tail REALLY not proud of this one *WIP* Event System *WIP* The finer details have yet to be figured out for this system, however, the premise is that when the server is less populated (20-50 players online) there is a high likelyhood for events initiating to incentivize players to get online, some of those include 2x XP, 2x Money Printer output, 2x Meth output, etc. In the future these could possibly be bought from !credits or the donation store - Doing so will include the name of whomever purchased the event to accredit them on everybody's screen

Dear Members of the Garnet Gaming community, We understand that recently, our gaming servers have experienced some challenges due to host-related issues caused by DDoS attacks and general changes by said host without our consent. This has led to many crashes and unsatisfactory performance, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this situation has caused. On the contrary, we are happy to announce that we have acted proactively upon this situation and decided to switch to a new provider that is dedicated to providing a secure and stable gaming environment for you all. This change will greatly improve the overall quality of our servers and eliminate the issues that we have been facing for these past 3-4 days. Furthermore, we should also see some better server performance as all our machines are being upgraded to more recent hardware that can withhold higher populations. Myself and @Proggy have spent an obscene amount of hours (working until 5:30AM in instances like today) to ensure this change goes smoothly. New IP & General Upgrades This server has been migrated to a new datacenter, under a different host, with upgraded hardware This had to be done for all of you who were experiencing anything less than perfect performance, with prolonged downtimes and lag due to our last hosting arrangement (which we had been using for nearly a decade) The new IP is: 104.152.143.179:27015 The server's tickrate has been raised to 16 for better hit detection and movement Cinema As a bi-product of switching IPs, we've been unblocked from YouTube. I will add as much protection as I can to prevent users from ever abusing our Cinema system to get our IP blocked. Automated Events Strongholds Fully implemented You will then be able to discover the location of the stronghold, fighting over the stronghold currently yields no reward, but will provide you inventory drops in the very near future. *NEW* Bradley *NEW* Fully Implemented A battle will then ensue, and upon defeat (in the future) a large supply drop will drop from the sky Anti Spawn-Camp Partially recoded to avoid any issues with players having godmode when they should not have in the middle of war. Please notify me as to whether or not this issue is fully resolved after today! Players can no longer re-enter a protected zone once they have left base, they will only be protected from the moment they spawn, until they leave their respective bases. War System Killstreaks Objectives War Throughout Objectives war, players who hold an objective and kill a player or kill a player holding an objective, their 'Kill Streak' count will go up Currently there is no purpose for Killstreaks, however, a couple of items are being made, some of those include: Tactical Insertion, Orbital Strike, Nuke, Riot Gear (sets you to a Riot model, and allows you to shred with 500 HP), Adrenaline Shot (speed boost, 30% damage reduction for 30 seconds) BEWARE: Dying will reset your killstreak count. Team Deathmatch Slow-Motion Winners Screen Corrected the team it'd show as the winner of the war (previously only shown a tie) Weaponry Nerve Gas Removed knockback of gas, preventing people from running head-straight into gas. Let them die IMO. dumb fucks

The second part of a huge string of MilitaryRP updates, much cooler updates coming up this month War System Sick slow motion thing At the end of war, a slow motion effect will play, This screen will display the winners (or a tie), additionally, being painted BLUE if US wins the war, and RED if Afghanistan wins the war TODO: add music? Gas Mask A random unique idea I had Players are now able to craft Gas Masks utilizing the inventory system which will shortly be implemented. Gas masks may be utilized to complete future planned additions to the server which I do not want to spoil, for the time being, users who somehow obtain a mask will receive an additional display to the right side of their screen, notifying them of their possession of a mask from there, players may utilize the key "G" by double tapping it in order to equip said mask (a cool equipping animation will play) The drawbacks to your mask will simply be a high/blinding contrast, and cracked glass that may slightly impair your visibility. Imagine looking this sick as a general? Masks will slightly reduce explosive damage (a mere 5% from all explosions), they also entirely negate poison and radiation damage (toxic pit when we're on a map with one, and nerve grenades) In the future, more grenade types will be added, IE: tear gas Parachutes Another random idea I had which supposedly Ozzy had as well but conveniently did not tell anybody?? Similarly to the facemask, a UI element to the right side of the screen will display "PAR" for PARachute until an icon is decided on Players presently cannot and will not craft a parachute as it would be almost entirely pointless outside of events and (teaser) a transportation NPC When the "PAR" icon is present, players may press "E" or "USE" while falling in order to deploy their parachute Transportation NPC A derivative of parachutes Players may have noticed this NPC appeared in their base But they seem to have no function Moving into war, within 1-5 minutes players will receive the following notification: Only once this message has popped up, has one of the transportation NPCs been activated. Mind you, US and Afghan's NPCs are both randomized, and one side may get their transportation minutes before the other Once decided on a destination, your screen will blink, and a sound effect of a parachute will go off. That's it, you're now parachuting over nearly the center of the map, without having to run towards the objective. The only drawbacks are you will be in the air without a defense for the next 10 seconds, and your buddies who took the vehicle made it safely in the comfort of their GMC Savana in roughly 6 seconds more. TODO: POSSIBLY A GLOBAL COOLDOWN ON PARACHUTING? Weaponry Corrected a few ancient issues.. Soon enough we will have a killstreak system for players who play objectives, and here are some rewards you could get Orbital Strike Corrected issue where a permanent red overlay would remain on your screen post detonation IED Detonator Corrected issue where the explosion would continue indefinitely Miscellaneous Scoreboard Playtime has been removed from display, please use /playtime in the future! Advanced Dupe Corrected pasting speeds as to allow staff to paste dupes once again

Inventory System A massive list of items has been added to the server, implementation will happen this upcoming week Weaponry SIG 552 Added back into the server Proximity Mine Re-written base code, will no longer cause any crashing issues Strongholds [Postponed until 1/17/2023 or later] At random intervals outside of war, you may spot a building has a red cross mark located infront of its door along with some radio chatter - that is a 'Stronghold' It is essentially an AI-controlled building in the map that may be fought over by both countries. Neither countries are allowed to engage in PVP in its vicinity, but directly outside will be allowed. Defeating these NPCs will earn the victorious party a large amount of supplies that may be used for the inventory system that will be shortly implemented. Based off of the number of online players, the NPCs may spawn with more HP and become more agile/powerful. EGM Base A random idea from @Ozzy This base includes animations that are found on both DarkRP and MilitaryRP, including "Crossarm" infront and behind your body, Point, Surrender. Etc Spawn Protection Anti Spawn-Camping activated during wartime This is my new, hopefully effective solution against these goddamn spawncampers :^) At the beginning of war, each country's safezone will be determined, encompassing the base's walls. Leaving said walls will give players a 3 second of invunerability, although, these players may damage others that are outside MEANING, players who are protected by spawn can kill spawncampers. Verax will initially be working as a contractor for the community - particularly focusing on the ClonewarsRP server, but based on his performance and enjoyment of being part of our community, as well as the results he is able to produce as to help our community operate smoothly, he may hold a permanent executive role. With his successful track record of leading thriving communities, I am personally confident that Verax will play a significant role in the growth and success of our CWRP server which has been at a stale position/decline for the past 6 months. For just 3 hours Verax has been observing the workings of our Clonewars server to identify areas for improvement and provide valuable feedback to streamline the work of our GM team. This update is aimed at easing the GMing system currently present on the server: Lunas Flight School Addon updated to the latest version! *NEW* HMP Droid Gunship *NEW* One more entity to our LFS arsenal to be used during events, particularly for CIS utilization NOTE: this is a large entity, GMs, please beware of where it is spawned *NEW* NU-Class Attack Shuttle *NEW* A predecessor to the Lambda, to be used by the Republic Navy during events This shuttle features a full interior with 15 seats Gamemasters Tool Gun Re-disabled sound functionality from the tool. This was over-written the last GMod update Physgun Glow associated with physguns has been removed from the server. This may take a restart of HL2.exe in order to apply onto clients Loadouts Upon switching to the Gamemaster class, your inventory will be stripped of all but the bare necessities to complete your duties - including donator weapons, and inventory access. This will allow GMs to easily switch between their 3 primary used tools, including a physgun, gravity gun, and tool gun. Godmode Due to the fact that No-Target tooling by itself wasn't enough to prevent NPCs from accidentally shooting you down as a GM completing your duty, I've added "Godmode" functionality to staff members who are noclipping while on "admin duty" This will prevent AI or players alike from shooting you down while you're trying to host events. Hologram Creator Tool Utilize left click or right click while aiming at a player in order to materialize them onto a hologram, utilize right click in order to turn yourself onto a hologram NPC Control Tool a suite of NPC-related tools which may greatly enhance RP NPC Controller - this tools allows you to select an NPC (Left Click), and then make that give NPC follow a path which you determine (Right Click) NPC Follower - works similarly to NPC Controller, however, the target they follow cannot be a chosen location, but rather another player or yourself NPC Health - this tool simply allows you to override the health of a spawn NPC NPC Proficiency - Allows you to set the aim proficiency for a class of NPCs, IE: all Security and B1 droids. This ranges from poor aim, where they will hardly hit a player, to pin-point perfect accuracy. NPC Spawner - the most thorough tools of the above, this tool will allow you to set a pre-defined spawn point from which NPCs will spawn on intervals, with a given list of weapons, as well as pre-defined intervals. This way you may create a steady flow of NPCs without having to continually spawn in NPCs Over time I will refine and re-create all of the above tools to work seamlessly with our own assets Chatbox Optimization A very thorough optimization patch was pushed through to the Chatbox, including the deletion of old messages, and better caching. This was done so that now that we have boosted client performance somewhat, we can take it away by introducing far larger acceptable string lengths to chatbox messages, allowing GMs to input very long and thorough lines of text in events. At this point of time, I do not have the knowledge on how to do so, so I may need to reach out to another developer contact :^) Medical Duty Wardrobes More wardrobes have been added across the map, a few notable locations include all of the outposts present on the map, as well as directly outside of Clone and SOB bunks.   9. Inventory System A sizeable UI rework was made, there will now be 10 items per row of inventory space (previously 8 ) and 4 extra inventory slots have been added making the inventory 25% larger. The size of the inventory itself is now much more compact (73% of the original size) and has been optimized heavily for framerate Before: Existing players please NOTE On players connecting I must run alot of weird networking in order to adjust everybody's inventory sizes to accommodate the new standard, please give changes 24-48 hours to take effect (1/28/2023) before screaming at me that things are broken. When the change is finalized, your inventory should look like this: Additionally, usability has been improved in a multitude of ways, too many to list, but i'm sure alot of you would've appreciate the changes. Some of those include UIs staying around even when no longer usable, IE: when you drop items and clear them from your inventory, but the "DROP" button is still on your screen. One more example would be accidentally right clicking an empty slot Finally, Crafting UI has been "REMASTERED" as it was previously just chopping right through text, with a MASSIVE craft button overlaying the entire thing Or as a wise @Juno perfectly summed it up Jedi Kyber Crystals Additional Kybers have been added to the server Those will serve as THE most rare crystals to be collected and have been tossed onto their very own loot table rarity class Orange Purple Certifications UI rework inspired by the recent MRP gasmask and parachuting update Before After Additionally, when on duty for any of the following roles, the following will further be highlighted Medical Duty Wardrobe A more efficient and RP-oriented replacement for "/medicalduty" In med bay, you will be able to find a "Medical Duty" wardrobe, this wardrobe may be interacted with by pressing E In the event that your job does not carry an official medical duty model or I missed something, you will get the following message as a followup: Other than that, it's the same old, and your medical duty model will be your permanent model until a respawn occurs 41st Elite Corps List of models has been entirely re-hauled, requested by @Jake and @Luxembourg

Weapon Balancing update commit done by @Ozzy Change Log Fixed Honey Badger to have proper muzzle flash Increase UMP magazine size to 30 from 25 Decreased the firerate of MP-153 to match other pump shotguns Decreased the Spread Cooldown on PPSH so that it properly accumulates spread. C858 had it's damage decreased and recoil increased to match other AR counterparts XM1014 had a decrease in firerate, decreased mobility, increased clump spread, and fires fewer pellets Removed ammo types from the TOZ Increased Recoil among all LMGs to increase dependence on Mounting and positioning.

Yes, the tube props have been deliberately removed, the fact it even took ~3-4 days for anybody to bring it up on the forums makes me feel better about the decision. unfortunately, these props caused server crashes, despite having one of the best prop protection systems available. The physics related to these props are too much for the engine to handle with a server of 100+ players.

  15. 501st Legion This battalion is once again open with a commander appointed in order to host tryouts and provide some growth to the servers New Player Quiz An entity has been added to aid in players beginning to play off in our server, no longer will players need to be notified of the utilization of /quiz, but rather, in the recruit room there will be a desk at which players can utilize "E" in order to initiate a newbie quiz in order to be whitelisted for Rifleman Gamemaster The ability to physgun all turrets has been enabled! Corrected automated event NPC behaviors, where they would drop weapons (category: NPC Clearing/Protect) Creatures A new class of event NPCs has been added to the server, one that for once is not humans or droids. This adds up to a grand total of 53 additional event NPCs have been added, to provide GMs with lots of inspiration. Class Changes Republic Navy : Director Access to Naval Team "U" Chat has been granted Ability to accept all vehicle requisitions has been granted Whitelist capacity has been lowered from 3 to 2 Level 5 Keycard has been added onto the class' loadout. I tried to replicate this but unfortunately couldn't UPDATE: Recoded the anti-spawncamp feature one more time (specifically the portion where a player leaves base) to hopefully ensure no bugs pop up in the future. Additionally, I added a print to players who try and attack spawn-protected players so that any issues can be quickly resolved via a report

  20. Automated Events NPCs will now automatically drop a crate of items on death at random chances. Additionally, you have another 1:3 chances of them dropping a larger crate of items containing double the amount. Now that players can gather up materials, crafting is next Limited default NPC behavior for wandering - won't be too necessary if they're in a stronghold. Disabled NPCs dropping their weaponry and additional items unrelated to the inventory system Cash has been added as a droppable loot-table item War System Corrected transport NPC behavior allowing you to keep your spawn protection momentarily when parachuting Corrected defibrillator behavior allowing you to keep your spawn protection momentarily on revival

  22. cool update but did u mean to disable circular props? another player just brought to my attention that a bunch of props under the builder menu arent able to be used anymore and its kinda ruining some dupes. Not sure if you meant to restrict those props or not some notable ones being "metal_tube" used by gun dealers, "window_curve360, circle4x4, circle2x2, window_angle360" among many others
