    Ban Appeal

DENIED Having reviewed the evidence, it's clear that you had completely and deliberately blocked both of the tunnels with multiple props. It's also clear from the evidence that the admin had asked you to remove the props before they banned you, giving you an opportunity to put things right if you didn't understand. Your ban will remain. @Shin_Tsukimi @stretchy @Glorbnob @FlameSoul @GrosCave Please lock and move.

    Ban Appeal

The admin who placed the ban will need to show evidence, in this case I've tagged @ajbedhead as he entered the ban. You don't need to provide any evidence unless there's anything you feel might be useful.

@ajbedheadPlease could you provide your evidence
  4. +1 I really like the idea of a 'tank' being a member of a raid party, someone with high-health but slow moving as you say to give a fair trade off. This could add a whole new dynamic to the strategy of raiding and it would certainly be a laugh. I would however say that it might be best to limit the number of players who can play as the 'tank' to 1, just for the sake of the logs. I would also recommend adding a rule to say they cannot base, as the idea would be to help assist the raid party in actually raiding, rather than to sit and defend their own base.
  5. Just bought a new motorbike! Seriously can't wait to go for a ride out 😁

  6. Solid update which will keep things running smoothy and fairly Cheers
  7. +1 This is a genuinely outstanding application! That's not to mention your previous experiences, a referral from Proggy, clean record, tons of hours, plus the good things I've heard of you from others. I'm looking forward to meeting you sometime and wish you the very best of luck!
  8. -1 I’m sorry @NutterI tend to love most of your suggestions, and I hate to walk against the trend and be a party-pooper but please hear me out, I’ll be constructive: The main reason for camping to defend printers is to prevent the initial loss of investment (printer upgrade costs). A fully upgraded printer takes approximately an hour to recoup the invested funds (max upgrades), after which, all is profit. When that cost is multiplied (through having bought many printers off others) the initial investment can reach into the millions. So with that in mind, the longer you farm without being raided, the better the net profit; for example it takes at least 2 hours to double your investment and given the next hour is all profit again, it’s difficult to resist. Then take into account the convenience cost, that being the will to wait out the 2 hours (if printers are raided and claimed) to then place down another set of printers with the risk of loss of initial investment. How likely is it that an avid farmer will accept this non-monetary cost? That’s without mentioning if bought-printers are then actually available to be replaced once lost. To be bluntly honest, these two factors make up the majority of the reason that people camp while farming. If these factors were mitigated, then the loss would be negligible and there would be no need to constantly defend a base. In other words, I think the suggestion won’t lead to the outcome that (I guess we all) want in relation to your suggestion. I think I actually said to Proggy some time ago that I wish printers could be held at ransom during a raid, because I’d be happy to pay a fair sum of money for printers to be safely left alone then to have to set up again, even if it costs as much at the printer makes in an hour. In fairness he did say (and I’m paraphrasing) “why not just re-buy them then if you’re willing to pay the full investment cost?” Which is a fair statement, but that doesn’t include the non-monetary setup cost of being willing to place them all back down and contact those who you’ve bought them from to do the same, if they are free. Like I say, I hate being a party pooper and I know I’ll get hate for -1’ing your suggestion, even potentially from you. But I’m just giving realistic feedback from an avid farmer myself. I wouldn’t be upset if you added this, and I’m sure some people may love the idea, but from my personal perspective I respectfully don’t think it will change a lot. Sorry guys.
  9. I think it’s best to calm it down a couple of notches here guys, nothing said in here will do anyone favours and only serves to incite devision. Thank you for your time helping the server and best wishes for the future @HtmlRoot I hope that things go well for you
  10. Awesome update! It’s great that you’ve managed to rebuild a lot of the systems to be super optimised, and make things look really good too in the process. Well done to you and Proggy for finding the exploiter and good news about the Super-Duper fix. Can’t wait to see how Bizzy does with the new Party System, that would be amazing to have everything re-done for sure! Can’t wait to get back on and check it all out
  11. Please add this in the next update, this is fantastic! Plus you've done the hard part already lmao
  12. Hope you get better soon! Sounds awful, but you’ve got a cool cast for Halloween I guess For real though, take it easy and keep us updated! Sending my best
  13. Neutral I like the RP aspect that this could add, but I think you'd need to be a little more specific with which addons you're proposing to include to allow a better chance of deciding if it's a good addition to the server. If the additional food addons are easy to add, and don't increase the download by very much and are likely to be used then I'd say go for it. But if the addons are a bit heavy on the download with a lot of setup and unlikely to be used a lot then perhaps it's better to work on ways to improve how the class is used.
  14. -1 Halloween is an awesome opportunity for DJ's to play their best spooky jams, and any game music would only interfere with that. Plus, when there was loading music while joining the server, a lot of people complained that it was annoying, or that they were talking in VC while it was playing, leading to a substantial dip in population around the time unfortunately. Maybe set up a DJ booth on the Highstreet and get some tunes playing?
  15. -1 I think this is a really creative way to increase engagement community-wide, so on face value I like the idea. However it would be difficult to implement and most likely require a SA to manually check and then give every person the reward which is the main reason for my -1. On top of that, I think a lot of people tend to ignore incentives to join other things if they aren't already interested; if they are interested then they'll likely venture into the forums / TeamSpeak / other servers on their own. So good idea, but I don't think it will work in practice.
  16. It would be awesome if there were more posts in the SS thread, I have tons all in a folder named Garnet Memories and I'd imagine a lot of others do too! I uploaded a few from a while back, now that it's unarchived again. Great idea though, lets get it thriving
  17. Lets get this thread going again! Here's a few I found from some time ago....
  18. Neutral While the current rules don't specifically say "don't stand on the chess table", they do have broader terms such as "do not harass, grief, or troll players of the community" and "do not body block" which can be applied with common sense. I have taken reports for this exact situation, and generally a verbal warning is all that's needed, but it's certainly possible to go further with a warn or a jail of 3-6 minutes as per the D3A for anything not listed, if a verbal warning doesn't do the trick. With that said, if it makes the rules clearer then I'm not against the wording being adjusted as such but you're covered already as it stands.
  19. +1 I like the map you've made showing the current locations and it's interesting to see there aren't currently any in the industrial or suburbs areas as Wendoly said. I think it would be cool to add a few more in those locations perhaps, but as Proggy said, it's better closer to the action so to speak, to keep the map feeling lively, plus because it's a great way of earning good money as a new player, it's a good idea to have them spread throughout the map above-ground to encourage exploration and bumping into / meeting new people. Great suggestion though
  20. This update is genuinely awesome! I can't wait to get back on and check this out, the map with the backrooms system and pumpkin hat looks sweet! Also thank you Bizzy for fixing the tax system
  21. I know, that’s what I meant by a silly mistake. Flying into a base (which includes the PD) as staff on duty, without an active report is punishable. As I say, we all make silly mistakes, but what can truly set us apart is how we deal with them and move forwards. Dan’s a great guy and was a great staff member who made a small mistake. But I feel he was dealt with fairly, and it’s sad to see him go over something so silly.
  22. Im not going to throw you -1 reacts by any means because I think you’ve done some great work for sure and I’m sad to see you go, you’re a great guy. But it sounds like you made a small mistake of entering a base without a report just based on what you’ve said. Glorb is a DRP manager, not just a SWRP player, and a well respected one at that. If he set your job as a subtle reminder then I totally agree and he’s been lenient in fairness to you, we all make silly mistakes even with good intentions. I’ve messed up before too, I’ve been set to staff on duty a long time ago to help take reports where I wasn’t, and I’ve learned and progressed from it, and now do the same to others, not to be mean but so they learn the same lessons I once did. Don’t be put down, you’re still great and nobody will judge you by one small mistake mate. It’s awesome that you care and it’s a shame you’ve left over something so minor, if that’s all it was. But it’s your decision at the end of the day, and I just hope you’re doing ok and that things work out well for you
  23. I can totally relate to getting super busy all of a sudden, but I’m glad that things are going well for you outside of gaming mate You we’re a superb staff member and you’re sit counts were huge! Thank you for your time and hard work, and I really hope things go well with school, work, and your other pursuits. Hope to catch you around but all the best until then
