Im very very lost right now because I don't see the issue with an income tax that is 1) optional (you can evade and just hope u dont get raided for the next like 3 minutes) 2) needs to be billed MANUALLY (meaning the odds of you getting picked out of 100 players is VERY low) 3) that you can only be billed with once an hour (with the small chances of the mayor even billing you, this decreases the chances of you getting billed more) 4) and that the mayor can only bill ONE PERSON every 5 MINUTES If you're a printer farmer who as spent millions on printers. You can simply avoid any issues by paying the (1-5%) bill (will be capped at 50k). If you make 100k from when you joined and you get billed, your bill is 5k. If you make 1 mill your bill is 50k. if you make 100mill your bill will still be 50k.

Sorry but gmod darkrp isnt realistic. You automatically spawn with weapons. You spawn with money in your wallet. You can buy HP and armor from a fuckin vending machine. But it's insane when the PD knows how much you've made and can tax you. Just say you dont wanna be bothered when ur printer farming and you just want darkrp to be stale hehe anyone else got an issue with the income tax or is it just shank and straightwhitechristianmale? I wanna hear anyone else that has issues with it cuz if it's just those 2 1) Tax bill is based on how much you've made since you've connected. And you can only be billed once per hour. So if you want to evade. you don't have to defend your base for that logn 2) THE MAYOR DOES NOT GET TAXES, THE VAULT DOES 3) Mayor wont make money from taxes. 10% of the vault is distributed to all PD players every x amount of minutes 4) It's not policeRP but right now its NoReasonToRPAsPoliceRP 5) shit take i like being mayor and think this would be cool. What do you mean no evidence? You get sent a tax bill, you choose to pay it or evade. If you evade thats tax evasion (if it wasnt obvious) and that's illegal. Thats enough evidence to warrant you. The mayor doesn't know you have printers, they just know you've had an increase in income that hasn't been taxed (i swear if u say how do they know whats in my wallet im gonna lose my shit)

The income tax has nothing to do with printers It's like this: - 10am you have $10k -10:10am you have $15k 5k is untaxed the mayor can send you a bill to collect the few hundred or whatever. If you refuse you get warranted for not paying taxes NOT for printers. Also, there are legal ways to own printers (like through the bank) so taxing printer income makes sense everyone please voice your opinion on this as if this doesn't seem to be liked by you guys it wont be added. dont b shy No taxes if no mayor. if you dont like taxes kill the mayor simple maths

Last message: Ok so, I've received a lot of feedback on the suggestion I made, and it seems the only issue people had with the suggestion was the printer tax. Hopefully the way I've resolved it (see below) works for yall This new system would bring the following (simplified): New lottery system: - Just different UI and a nice animation that displays for participating players - Needed to make this to simplify taxing lottery winnings - Mayors can also participate This UI only appears for participants of the lottery: A new tax system: The mayor will be a able to set a salary tax (0-45%) The mayor will be able to set a lottery tax (0-20%) The mayor will be able to set an income tax that players CAN evade when billed manually (0-5%) Salary and lottery tax is automatically withdrawn, income tax is optional for players. Every 10 minutes, 10-20% of the PD vault is distributed evenly to all Police players to incentivize people to play as PD. The income tax is all other income (printers, selling things, etc...) and is not automatically withdrawn from you. ALL TAX IS ADDED TO THE PD VAULT LOCATED IN THE MAYORS OFFICE. Here's how the income tax works (not lottery and salary): - The mayor gets a list of players with income that has not been taxed from when the player first connected. - The mayor can bill 1 player every 5 minutes - The player receives a bill and can choose to pay it or evade - If the player evades it, they are wanted and warranted. Due income tax bills menu: A new PD Vault: All taxes are added to the vault The vault will have a specific maximum it can't go above 10-20% of the vault will be distributed to PD players every 10 minutes to incentivize people to play as PD The vault is raidable if there is a mayor online and a specific amount of PD players The vault begins a cooldown where it can't be raided when someone becomes mayor to give the mayor enough time to setup a defense Anyone who kills a vault raider gets a % of the vault money Major pros of this system: - This will revive the PD hopefully and lead to more people playing as PD (because of vault distribution) - People will have a reason to kill the mayor if his taxes are not liked - PD can now raid bases more frequently if people evade taxes - Provides an actual reason to raid the PD due to the vault Major flaws of this system: - none haha - yb better - tmh wack Let us know how yall feel about this potential update and if you want to see it or not state your reasons plz

The same way someone you let in your base can just destroy all your printers is the same way someone can come in and claim them. Dont let people you don't trust in. And if they fail raid and claim your printers they can be reconnected so the printers vanish and you'd have to respawn your printers again. Same way you'd have to reconnect if someone fail raids and claims ur printers is the same way they can be force reconnected if they falsely claim your printers.

idk how any of this would work in terms of fail raiders cuz i have nothing to do with the rules. dont take what I said as fact hehe

1) Low tier printers can't be claimed but still can be stolen. But, if you disconnect and come back they'll disappear and you can just buy it again. Raiders can still destroy them. 2) That's a good idea, but I'd rather for now people just report fail raiders and have their money refunded to them and money taken from the fail raiders. And if you take your printers back it doesn't stop the countdown. This is to prevent people from giving their printers to their friends for 2 hours so they can disconnect to do something else just to come back and keep their printers 3) Nothing, there's a little menu that pops up that asks if you're sure you want to claim the printers, so that should stop people from spam claiming 5 printers in 2 seconds. Other than that, you just gotta keep ur printers safe
