+1 From scavenging around forums awhile I have noticed the positive influence krim brings to the MRP community. He's probably one of the most active and respectful I've seen on these forums and I think it would only be right if we allow the man to have a second chance to further mature himself, as he already appears to be in the right direction. From his comrades, my opinions on krim are upheld as he sounds like a good person and an even better leader on the server, and I think an unban is justified.

Medinator has been banned long enough. Highly doubt he will fuck up again and the general consensus seems to be that the mistake he made was influenced by external factors. +1

I had never really talked to Gamma but I have always heard amazing things about the guy. This post came as a complete shock to me as it did for all of you. It felt like as if I had lost a friend I never had. I feel very weird and sickened to my stomach to learn that something like this could happen in our own backyard. Gamma’s case is a prime example that a person’s online persona and personality can be a complete facade to what is happening in that person’s personal life. A person may appear to be happy and joyous in an online setting, but depressed and distraught once the computer turns off. We knew Gamma as a happy-go-lucky funny guy who would always want to put smiles on others faces every time he showed up online. What we didn’t know was that behind the scenes he was suffering. We didn’t really know and understand how his personal life was, and we never truly will understand what Gamma must have been through mentally. It pains me to know that he lost that battle. If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, anything of the sort, PLEASE be sure to reach out to someone. Friends, family, even people in this community will want to help you out. Do not be afraid to tell someone what’s been going on in your mind, it can and WILL be beneficial to your mental health. Today, and forever, we shall celebrate the life and legacy of Gamma. He may not be with us anymore, but his sprit lives on bright and strong. He represented what it meant to be a positive influence for others. He represented what it meant to be kind, thoughtful, loving, and empathetic. He represented what it meant to be a Garnet Gamer. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family, and may he smile down upon us happy forever, knowing that he is in a better place. o7

I think you may have misunderstood what @Drone was trying to say in his original comment. Here is what Drone was referencing to: Almost half-a-year ago, Ozzy easily could have been given a community ban for his role in the distribution of cheats and possible blackmail(?) whilst he was on the staff team (when the report was issued he was a SA on MRP), but was given a second chance by Garnet. (And @Ozzy please do not think I am trying to make you look bad/label you as a cheater, I thought your situation would be relevant to this reply and I know damn well you have changed your image and yourself for the better.) If we could forget and forgive Ozzy's mistakes, give the man a second chance, then watch him contribute to the server and develop into the beloved Ozzy we know and like him for today, why not give blooms this same opportunity? And please do not use Ozzy's situation as an excuse to justify someone's wrongdoing's in every subsequent ban appeal for cheating because "well the current big manager man did a fuck-up before in his past so every denial of a ban appeal for cheating is hypocritical," I just believe blooms' situation is very different because of who I know the man to be. Now again, normally I would never comment something like this on a normal ban appeal, but I had already stated my +1 opinion on the matter previously. @AwesomeAidan0221 and I share the same opinions about blooms, and I thought he put my feelings well, so you can refer to his previous comments. If I truly felt blooms did this of malicious intent (which I know sounds weird considering he did cheat but again please refer to Aidan's comments), and/or if he chose to evade his ban, that is completely different. But I believe in this case we should maybe reconsider? He's been banned for a year, and I believe someone like him served his time, he paid his dues, he knows he fucked up, and I know his character would never want to do something controversial like this again, because that's who blooms is. I understand that we are strict on those who are cheaters, and I understand that many of us, including myself, have zero sympathies for those who have cheated, but for this very rare, one instance, please reconsider blooms' ban.

+1 Blooms easily has to be one of the kindest guys I have ever met on the server. To my knowledge I don't believe I have ever put down a +1 to an unban appeal for somebody who cheated, but I believe that blooms is a very different case. I was in Aidan's GB when him and I met blooms, and to reiterate what Aidan commented, I was very disappointed when blooms was banned, but I always believed that an unban for blooms was warranted after a long period of wait. Blooms is very different from a LOT of people who have submitted an unban appeal for cheating in the past, and that is simply because of his character. Blooms easily has the most positive and wholesome character out of everyone I have ever met on MRP, nothing about this guy screams suspicious or malicious. Again, to reiterate Aidan's comment, I can understand blooms' perspective of why he would feel the need to cheat. Blooms may have Dr. DisRespected one short time, but I would not be worried in the slightest about him committing something like this again if he were to be unbanned, and I would NEVER say something like this normally about a banned cheater. I know I may sound hypocritical as someone that has barely any sympathies for cheaters, but if the former manager who actually banned the guy believes 100% that he deserves a second chance, that speaks volumes.

-1 If I were in your shoes I would not have bothered making a forum post about this whole thing. I agree with Don, you should have just told him to stop. I'm sure he would've had the courtesy to listen and respect your wishes if you felt he was being an ass. If he continued his actions afterwards, it would be a different story. Maybe Fetn was being a little annoying but nothing that would warrant me to say that this should be a definite warn. If that happened to me I would have just ignored the shittalk. We're just kids playing a GMod server retardedly roleplaying as military men and women, trying to have fun through coronavirus. If it really bothered you, again, just tell him to stop. To me, if you have to think about warning someone, you shouldn't.

This is the exact reason why I was a big fan of 4 factions. I remember how cool it was when I first started playing on CSCDesert in 2016 as a freshman in high school, and the intense political debates we would have before wars regarding who was an enemy, and who was a friend. It was as if we were subconsciously roleplaying as United Nation diplomats. The brotherhoods I would form on the server felt amazing. The friends I made in different factions counted on me to be by their side whenever I had to be their ally in a war, and hoped I would lose bad when I was the enemy. It was this mutual respect between players on different factions that made the server lively. When SAS was around and I was just a innocent bush wookie sniper, the talk of alliances between factions was always really interesting to discuss. Do we ally with the US forces, reminiscent to the real life alliance between the United States and the United Kingdom? Or...do we take a sneaky approach and backstab our most trusted NATO ally by siding with the Taliban and Russia? Wars always felt a lot more intense and...patriotic (in a roleplay sense), knowing that we had to fulfill our bargain and support our allies, lest they become the enemy in a future conflict. When we won wars, it was satisfying. When we lost, it was humiliating. The very real idea of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" was sometimes used as a justification to backstabbing the US faction, and the politics used in everyday roleplaying on CSCDesert to create interesting "storylines" always made the map feel fresh and interesting everyday, with the word "fresh" being something that Dillan emphasizes in his comment, that I believe the current MRP server misses out on. Maybe it is the nostalgia, but something just feels off about not having the four faction system, the server just feels same old same old every time I would log on. The only redeemer being my buddies in TeamSpeak that could always give me a good laugh and make playing on the server more fun. Real world politics I believe are barely used on the server nowadays. People play wars now to kill people and escape boredom. People played wars back then to represent the pride of a faction. I think this difference is why I believe 4 factions should return. @Garnet in regards to option C, maybe it might be of interest to use the nostalgia the MRP playerbase has with CSCDesert and use that map for a week or two weeks and see how it works out? I think at this point CSCDesert is going to be a big hit or a big miss, but I believe you can get a lot of people to play on the server if you try.
