Popular Post Bozee 202
this idea may get shit on, but hey here it goes! a lot of people remember echo as a bad map, which I think is due to some peoples frames in village or because of echo v2. while frames were not a problem for me in village I could see how it could be heavy on other people. I think when alot of people think back on echo they remember the bad things about Echo v2, such as lighting, lack of tunnels, etc.. for me to explain why I think echo v1 is a good map lets start with objectives Warehouse- to me this might be one of the best obj we have had on any garnet map! It was very well done including great spots for cqc and great spots for sniping by match and attic! this is by far one of the more polished obj considering it contains Attc, KH, Match, and rope climb etc.... over all warehouse was a fun and balanced obj to play! Embassy- mine and alot of peoples favorite OBJ was emb on echo v1! the great thing about emb was the levels to it, you had the tunnels which led to the basement, 2 to 3 entrances, and a top floor which was great for holding the obj and stairs! while there is a spot in basement that is a super unfair head glitch, that can be countered by going an opposite way and attacking through the teleprompter! village- my personal experience with village was great! there was many many spots in village and many flank routes to get there. you had two sets of tunnels that met there from US and RU, one on the bottom and one that heads to board walk, as I mentioned previously about emb, this added a since of variety to gameplay on how to get on an OBJ! now that we've talked about objs, let's talk about sim spots/ places for tryouts places for tryouts consisted of -frog swamp -obstacle course -mini village -containers/crates -kill house -rope climb -Attc -match -Emb top floor -boardwalk there was so many more places but the point I'm trying to make is that this map was an good map to host tryouts on and was great for sims! Now let's move on to something I think everyone could appreciate! how well the bases were designed! the bases on echo v1 were by far the best bases out of any map, they are the most polished and most clean looking out of any map I've played to Date! overall I think this map gets a lot of unwarranted hate! maybe I'm just falling for the nostalgia bug but I think this map was genuinely well made and had a lot to offer! lmk what you all think. p.s I'm not very good at these suggestion threads due to my typing ability of a child, but i hope this came together nicely and made sense! 8 1 2 Link to comment
Bozee 202 Posted August 8, 2020 Topic Author Share Posted August 8, 2020 Just now, Haqlash said: Im all for some nostalgia, this is the map that was on when I first joined the server, so in that case, I support it. However, at this time I think it might not be a great idea to change them maps as theyve been changing a little more then necessary in my opinion, and we havent been on char too long on this rotation. So im going to stay neutral for now and maybe decide when/if other players bring up other stuff that may tilt my view I agree with the idea that we shouldn't change for a lil, but at least would love to see echo in rotation I appreciate your response Link to comment
Gythem 311
+1 Simple enough. It's not that Echo is nostalgic but rather that it is actually a solid map. I personally didn't have any frame issues and the mountains offered quite a few playstyles. To me echo was a great map that balanced CQC and sniping. For example, you were able to get to the center OBJ with having to barely be outside, the tunnels provided a great place for CQC, but if you favor sniping you can go on one of the many mountains. My problem with EchoV2 was that you couldn't get on top of the mountains. It basically turned the map into a bunch of choke points because your only option was the valleys. As for now though we shouldn't switch just yet, maybe next map. Edited August 8, 2020 by Gythem2 6 Link to comment

aleks 219
One of my favorite maps, and the one I started really playing MRP on a while back. I think it would be good as an idea not for nostalgia, but moreso the fact that it was a very well designed map. It has good OBJ's (much better than char's kappa), and very fun movement courses/areas. One of my favorite memories from there is obviously surfing down the mountains, it gave a great factor for SOC's to put into their tryouts/training, and all around was an amazing map to roleplay on. However, I agree that we should stick to charikar for at least a little longer to give everybody a chance to play it, as it is probably not going to come back in a while All in all, I would say that this is a very good idea, and it's almost certain that this is going to happen. +1 Link to comment

Consider this Accepted. The map is a part of the rotation. v1 has received overwhelming positive reviews as it caters to both aesthetic chasers and warheads. 3 Link to comment
