Garry's Mod:

My 10+ years of Gmod RP experience in multiple servers has honed my RP skills. I can easily sink in to any role needed, and believe that my skills and abilities are top tier.

MRP: In terms of MRP, I have been leading 2GA for roughly 2 months now. In this time I have made many changes, the biggest of which being Cadet Corps, which included an overhaul of the junior officer and officer corps, with trainings and mentorship being an emphasis. I have turned 2GA from mostly a dead faction into a vibrant growing community with many players coming back every day. I flipped the mentality of Russia around, taking officers and turning them into brothers, creating long lasting memories. As a Gamemaster, I have created intricate RP situations for players to delve into, while engaging with the community and creating events that they would like to see and play in. I can take these same intense RP and community feedback skills to the fullest extent with this role, and be a pillar of skill and RP performance for the rest of the server to see.

FiveM: 

While not directly relevant, FiveM GTA RP helped me fine tune my decade old RP skills and helped me iron out almost any situation. Specifically, I learned how to RP with character traits in mind. Playing as several crim and cop characters, I learned the nuances and specialties of character-based RP, where a characters strengths, weaknesses, and other traits directly impact and drive the RP narrative. This is something that I feel a lot of lesser experienced players can miss out on. In the role of an icon like Mace Windu, it is expected that you act in character all the time and make decisions appropriate to that, to be an example player for the server.

Why should we choose you over other applicants?:

Dedication:

Upon joining this community, I instantly dedicated myself to reaching the rank of Marshal in 2GA(MRP). After months and months of playing the server, I achieved this goal, and never stopped working to do everything I could for the faction I loved. Even today, I'm working on ideas and implementing changes in the faction to achieve greatness and hopefully leave my mark on the history of the server. This is no doubt one of my finest abilities, and It would transfer to SWRP as well. The same can be said for my time on the Game Master position, where I dedicated myself to improving my events, as well as hosting frequent quality ones for the community. You may be wondering how this would lead to me doing well in this position, as it is a specific RP one, which leads to my other point;

Drive to Improve:

I have a large ambition and large drive to improve myself and learn from my mistakes. This is a hallmark of my leadership in 2GA, and will be the same in SWRP. I am certainly a new player to the SWRP thing, but I would take my drive and dedication to learn as quickly as possible. Being new to the SWRP scene, I would likely have some new and fresh ideas for the server and the community atmosphere. 

Love of Star Wars:

I am not a Star Wars super-fan in any sense, but I've always had a lot of fond memories watching the prequels (they are my favorites of the Star Wars series). I am obsessed with the characters (especially Mace Windu), and would learn the lore very quickly to get up to speed with the pace of the community. Seriously, Mace Windu was an extremely talented Jedi and I would be honored to play as him. 

Helping New Players:

One thing I have kept consistent in my Mod application and my GM application and gameplay is my need to let the newer players have fun when they first join. On MRP, with seasoned vets taking up half the player base, it can often be difficult for new players to break the mold. I would offer a helping hand in training and drop everything to help another person. This is the quality that led me to stand out within MRP, and will help me to be a great Jedi Master and asset to the server.

 

Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, include details: 

Warn for Basecamping when I didn't know the rule about it. Accidental VDM warn, and an Exploiting warn for when the map switched and I didn't know you couldn't sit on walls.

How would you use the role you are applying for? 

I would use the role to extend a helping hand to newer players. As stated before, my main goal throughout all of my playtime in MRP was to help newer players and enlisted, so that they could have the best possible time on the server. Being a nice person, and being helpful are two things which I can bring to this role. I would use the role to enhance people's RP, being an MRP Gamemaster, I am accustomed to intricate RP situations, and I can extend this knowledge to new players. As a Jedi Master, players could have special RP interactions with me in game that would give them memories and immerse them. I would take my role dead serious to provide enjoyment to everyone around.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: About as much as I do for MRP so 40 hours+ a week

*Extra Information*: My lack of SWRP experience is apparent, but hopefully it doesn't negatively skew your perception of my application. I would take this role extremely seriously, and I believe that my resume in 2GA is indicative of that. If you are willing to give me a shot, I promise I will fill the role to an exceptional standard. I've been talking extensively with SWRP veterans to fully understand my role so that I can hit the ground running. From what I've heard, SWRP sounded like an extremely fun time and was enjoyable by everyone in it. Hopefully I can contribute to this fun. Even if I do not get the opportunity to fill this role, I will still put all of my effort forth in making the server great.

Considering the fact that Kurtle both leads 2GA AND is a gamemaster on MRP, I can confidently say that he can both lead well and commit to roleplay. Leading 2GA highlights his leading qualities, and being a gamemaster shows how committed he is to roleplay. Along with these qualities, his application is great. Good luck!

Kurtle has done a lot for me since I started MRP, and is truly a great leader for 2GA. As a gamemaster, he is not lacking at all when it comes to RP ability. He has the ability to make any RP scenario fun, creative, and immersive even when he is not in the gamemaster roll. I can't see a reason why he wouldn't be fit for this position.
