Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs]

 

    Ahh, the dreaded paragraph portion of the application, everyone's favorite. Well to start let us answer the question of, "Why should we chose you over other applicants?" To start, I've been around for almost 3 years now within this community. I know how it works, I have a firm understanding of the forums, TeamSpeak, player bases, and the general structure of garnet servers. Having taken many breaks during my time, I've gotten used to having to adjust to different generations of players, so swapping over to DRP and getting to know everyone is not much different from what I have done before. That being said, I understand that there are still LOTS of other people that don't know me yet, which is why I still continue to talk and interact with people on the server even as I am writing this. Being staff will allow me to further interact with people I may not have spoken to otherwise, while also helping to better the server at the same time.

    Now, what do I plan on actually bringing to the table? Well to start, I'm no stranger to being a moderator on the Garnet servers. As shown, I've been staff more than enough to have a firm grasp on the rules and know how to present myself in many different situations, along with how to handle them. With DRP rules being vastly different than both MRP and Rust, I understand that there will be learning involved and times where I may be in the wrong. But that's part of the learning experience and am prepared for it. Lastly, I simply want to bring positivity and fun to the DRP server. For the people that do know me from MRP, you may see this and instantly -1 me due to my more competitive behavior. This is understandable, having come from games like CSGO and Rust, that's sort of my nature for shooters alike. But with the DRP playstyle being more laid back and interactive, I have sensed myself taking a different approach to this type of server. Just sitting on the server, running around talking with people, and helping where needed is lots of fun and a good way to spend some of my time. But at the end of the day, I'm here to have fun just like the rest of you, and being staff would allow me to further enhance that experience for myself, and of course the rest of the server.

    With that being said, I thank those of you that took the time to actually read through my paragraphs and see me for what I plan to be and not for what I was. I am always open to criticism, as this is an application so nobody is perfect. I also understand I have a lot less hours that lot of other applicants, but those will only go up as I continue to play the server. If you wish to ask me any additional questions, I ask that you please do it over Discord as to not clutter up my thread. Yes, I am permanently banned on MRP due to cheating. Now before you let this persuade your opinion on my application let me add something. When I first appealed, it was due to the fact that it was a stupid ban. Even if we say I was cheating, in the clip provided it would have been over a year before I was evidently banned. But I decided I no longer wanted to be a part in MRP and shut down my own appeal. It was denied on my own terms and I am fine with being banned. If anything, getting banned has helped me reach out to the other Garnet communities and actually interact more within them.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Depends on the day, most days I play before and after work, which is early in the morning, then later at night during peak pop. But there are also days I have things going on and would then notify Higher ups about and maybe consider an LOA for extended absence.

If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod?

Apart from GMOD I have recently gotten into riding motorcycles. I am yet to get one yet but am working on getting a bike off a friend of mine, which is a 2001 Honda Shadow 750 for those interested. I plan on going to college in the spring but will work my best to continue being a part of the Garnet community during school. I work part time at a pizza place and love it there, so many nice people. I am also heavily into anime, and have plenty of good show recommendations if you need. I am currently in the middle of watching Your Lie  In April and am prepared for a nice night of tears afterwards.

hmm.... so just to start off my opinion may seem bias but genuinely I have known huskaii for years and years, guy basically watched me grow up from a kid to now. You know when you need to be serious and you know how to joke around at times. You are easily one of the few people who can bring some light to a dark situation, you know how to handle reports as seen from your MRP staffing career. Now the bans... take this with a grain of salt but genuinely mrp and drp are two seperate things so if you try to -1 off that then you are on something. Multiple people who have been perma banned have gotten to high positions before, like literally me I was banned from drp/mrp for cheating. You'll be a good fit on the staff team don't fuck it up.

Mainly because he’s been here for a really long time, i’m sure he would do a really good job when it comes to holding a rank but I also have some concern that you’re probably not gonna get accepted. He’s a good guy to talk to. he just made a stupid mistake which turned out to be bad.  I do think you should handle your team sweet problem/I guess try to get your reputation up Before making this commitment. But I’m sure you could do it and that’s what matters in my opinion I’m sure you’ll be good staff member

Regarding my so called, annoyingness and minging over on MRP before I evidently left. I had made the choice to swap over to DRP weeks before I ended up banned on MRP. I started to view the server as more of a time to have fun with friends instead of being so serious about factions and ranks. It was a place I could relax and have fun during war and reminiscing with old friends. That being said, you and I have always butt heads so we never really had the best interactions together to start with. So while from your perspective you may view me as a toxic retard, I was simply having fun, albeit probably not in the most respectable way. And stating that I haven't been on DRP long enough is, well valid. I cant say you are wrong there, but I still plan to continue playing here anyways and meeting more people

Fuck it. I've seen you in-game plenty of times, Not once have I had any issues with you. Ontop of it you have some good referrals, I'm going to trust Fetn with his review and his referral. Don't fuck it up. I'd also recommend getting that appeal for TeamSpeak faster though if you were to be accepted.
