Past experiences as staff: N/A Why should we choose you over other applicants?: To the people reading this application who don’t know me, I am PiesAreCool. I am a relatively new player to the server however it has grasped onto me and taken over over a hundred hours of my life in the last 1-2 weeks. I felt like I really connected with the community, making friends and felt like I had people to talk to and chill with instead of sitting in my base alone. I now find myself applying for mod and am excited to see what comes from it. I think while I may not have the playtime as many other players, I have many other things that I could bring to the server. Firstly, for the reasons why I should be chosen over others, I have a high knowledge of the rules and strive to learn more. When I first joined the server, I knew nothing of course, but throughout that time the player base really helped me learn. I feel like the community and admin teams really taught me a lot that I know about the rules, and I now have a pretty good knowledge of it myself. I hope if I get selected I can help inform new players about rules just like the way everyone else did for me. Moving on from the rules, I have also been told I learn extremely fast. I seem to catch on to things faster than others and I think I can use that as an advantage when learning how to staff. Secondly, I have very good empathy. When you first hear this you might think it's a little cliché, and doesn’t everyone have empathy, but I think that throughout my life I could understand different sides much better using my empathy and make much better decisions. An Example of this is whenever I make a mistake, I will go through every way possible to fix it and resolve a situation instead of making something worse than it already is. This skill also helps me become closer to people and instead of making enemies out of someone I can resolve our issue and make a friend. In my opinion, having good empathy is the most important factor in understanding situations, because if you can’t put yourself in the situation, how are you supposed to understand it? Finally, I believe that my activity would be a big factor in why I would be a good staff member. I have been on every single day for upwards of 6-8 hours playing on this server, because it has me hooked. I also have a ton of free time, since I am able to run my own schedule as a college student and I will always be able to hop on as long as I am not in class. My activity has helped me build bonds with players on the server and it's why I feel that I enjoy the server so much. Overall, I may not have the most playtime, and I might not have much experience in a position like this. I believe that my skills and learning capacity will convince you to accept my application over others. I am excited to become more involved in this community and contribute to its success in the best ways I can. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server?: I’m unsure whether I've been banned or not since I only started playing GMOD again around 2 weeks ago, however since then I have not gotten warned or banned on any server. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: This is my first application. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Other than when I am in classes and studying, I am fully open. This means I should be able to contribute at least 4 hours a day. If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod?: I am a full time college student so my hobbies are of course studying, but besides that I like to watch sports, hang out with friends. +1 Making hobo towns has always been enjoyable and has heavily encouraged creativity and innovation which I'm onboard with. There should be some obvious rules that can be set in place to minimize this from being game breaking on the server. Overall, this would make being a hobo a lot of fun on the server.

This is not seriously getting added, but if you disagree with a suggestion there's no reason to throw shade towards the community or those who run it. Leave a constructive response and move along; And @Vortex, Garnet is working tirelessly often 7 days a week on updates for all of our community projects and active servers, These suggestions will be processed eventually, some more impactful items are prioritized over others regardless of when they were accepted. Going to implement this fantastic idea ASAP Idk, how about prioritizing the textures in the unbox menu first or like the lighting brightness that keeps changing randomly in the map. There are accepted suggestions from months ago that have yet to be implemented, but nah let’s throw poop at each other at prestige 2+ ASAP because that’s clearly what the people need right now smh

-1 The only time I've seen you in-game was when I stumbled across your base, I can't even recall a time that I've seen you outside your base actually interacting with the community. I know you're a long-lasting player and that's great, but the community has gained so many new faces in the past 3 months or so and none of these people are going to know you for your past. Get out there a little more and be more engaged with the current player base, these are the people you're going to be helping and interacting with the most once you have a staff position. I'm sure you're a great person and I'd love to see you around more, I just don't think you're quite ready for staffing at this very moment. Nothing personal, but you also got caught very blatantly using ChatGPT/AI for your first application and added a snarky comment to your post's edit reason once you were caught and had to fix it. Big red flag here...

Confirming referral. I haven't known Pies for a ton of time (since he's admitted he's only been here for under a month) but he is definitely very active, fun and always seems to know his stuff. Of course we do share a clan together so we've had a lot more interactions lately, but I do think that Pies is a smart guy and flexibility to learn new things or to empathise is a skill we need on the team more. After all, as a moderator you're dealing with people all day for all sorts of things, we should try our best to help and understand even the most minor of infractions. Rooting for you, man. Adding my referral. I'm gonna be honest with you I was pretty hesitant to write anything here after this whole debacle about if you were using AI for your staff app. I've played a bit with you before and you seem like a pretty solid guy, that and you also were T. Admin before is at least showing me you have been a trusted community member before. I had no doubts of your qualifications, and I don't know in your heart of hearts if you did use a program, but if that is accurate I'm not very pleased about that. You still get my +1 due to your experience and good record as far as I'm concerned, but I'm gonna start asking to see people's apps before future referrals are given.

Description: To allow hobos to build 6x6x6 plots together, without having to create an obvious separation of space as it is now. These would mean two 6x6x6 plots could be conglomerated into a single plot as a large structure.Reasoning: I understand (no I don't) why individual hobos shouldn't be allowed to build bigger than 6x6x6, one guy could take up the entire city block, but I see no reason why two different guys cannot connect 6x6x6 plots into larger bases. The rule is already barely enforced by 90% of the staff team, players almost never report it, and when it is done right it provides an awesome time for the community to feel they've made something. The last time I personally megabased with other hobos multiple players told me it was some of the most fun they'd had on Garnet in a while. Again, there's no reason to restrict fun for the sake of restricting fun. I get not letting the tunnels be one megastructure but If I want to build a hobo block with my boys at the beach then why shouldn't I? Additional Information: A rule being old does not make it a good rule.

As long as it's away from vital areas of the map (i.e. tunnels) that should not be blocked or impeded, I'm generally for it. I saw some folks building a hobo community on the beach some weeks ago and it was kinda fun seeing what they were building. I only really had issues when they would fence off parts of the road (especially the ones using keypads I'm calling you out specifically) and required you to use a keypad or a button to enter or pass through the hobo city. I know some people hate the giant plate box builds and at times I can too, but I do enjoy a bit of creativity so long as it doesn't interrupt RP or break any serious rules. +1

-1 Hobos have the shoe, and poop seems even more immature than the server already is. But knowing this community, and who moderates it, we will get this before hobos are allowed to use guns, build bigger than 6x6x6, or anything else actually useful. I say this whilst using hobo exclusively, there are major restrictions and issues with the hobo class, and me being allowed to throw shit does not fix them.
