Taking the community to the next level!

Being that Garnet has grown to a community that now has 1000+ concurrent users on a given day, I would like to do some nifty things back for the community in order to create more interactions/build friendships.

The forum 'Community Events' has been introduced, and a community event within the DarkRP server has been posted to kick it off to a great start, with $85 worth of credits to be won.

 

 

 

MilitaryRP Public Map Testing

Please plan for this event tentatively, however, I am aiming to have a public map testing session (including weapon balancing around said map) on the 1st of November, giving me 5 more days to finish up the majority of the map. I was previously aiming at releasing this map as a Halloween surprise, but unfortunately, did not meet the deadline this year, with that being said, I am really liking how this map is turning out, and the crazy amount of FPS I managed to squeeze out of it given what I had to work with (aircrafts, vehicles, dense city buildings)

While this is upsetting news, I'm going to attribute the majority of that flunk to me literally being physically unable to commit to 12+ hour long mapping sessions, and it heavily affecting my rehab from my car accident. I'm still considering doing the whole "ADD A CUSTOM SIGN/GRAFITI TO THE MAP FOR A DONATION" in order to get myself a quality office chair, but I genuinely cannot come up with a fair price for the time being. Feel free to help me out.

Ayyy community events sound fun asf, even small ones like playin scribble was fun ash.

I've tuned in to a couple streams, these maps look sick asf and I can tell they take a shit ton of effort to make.

From your previous screenshots it looks like they are varying in size and obviously in location. How many sizes are there and where are the locations?

Reason for my questions being, the signs with the most foot traffic should cost the most, and then adjusted for size. To give you good news (hopefully) I know 3 people who genuinely said they would pay $50 easy for a sign. Myself being a 4th

Doing an awesome job bro. This stuff takes a while to do. And it's always best to take extra time to make sure everything is right instead of releasing early. For sure is going to be cool.

I agree with Ozzy on the sign deal. And Zach's got a good idea for the signs in the not so popular areas. Prices can always be adjusted, I think those ideas are good to start with and feel things out.

looks like its shaping up to be great, Definitely looks like what everyone has been looking for tight corners  CQC and lots of Room for different playstyles.

I’m really excited to play this map I have heard people say for the longest that they hate how they can’t get to an obj and I hope this helps people with that and it should help me get better in cqc I need to lmaoo

I have some mod suggestions that you could check out if you want. The mods could be implemented for US and R and I feel like vehicles would play a nice role and boost interest into our server.

Use the suggestion tab in the MilitaryRP section in garrys mod.
