  4. In-game name: PDSS SS1 Buddha SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:50942375 Staff members in-game name: Aidan Staff members SteamID (/id (name): STEAM_0:0:185163860 Date & Time of incident: April 27th Timezone: PST Ban Reason: Toxicity How long were you banned for?: 6 Months Proof of Ban: What happened? (include any proof): I was in the 2GA officers Teamspeak late one night, and while some previous issues had occurred, I joined the channel unbeknownst to any of the previous drama. I started joking around with the other officers, and at one point told them that "They were on my hitlist of people to kill". Later, one of the officers, Whitebolt, reported me for toxicity on the forums, and felt his life was being threatened. The morning after, I received a 6 month ban for toxicity. Why should your ban be removed?: First of all, I would like to apologize once more to Whitebolt. Although we have had our lengthy private conversations, I want to put it out there once again that I never intended to harm your life, and had no clue on what you were going through at the time. It has been a good 2 months since my ban appeal, and I have seen a lot happen in this community. My original plan was to just wait out the 6 months, as my interest in the server would probably have declined and I would be focusing on college. However, one day, while talking to some old MRP friends, they peaked my interest again and started my drive to play on the server once more. With the current state that the server is in, I really feel like I could contribute a lot in terms of keeping lower enlisted active and providing peacetime entertainment, if not at the very least to have just one more player on the server. I realize that I have had multiple chances in the community, and I have used these past experiences on the server to try and improve my behavior. A lot of the stuff I was doing a couple months back was uncalled for. It cannot be forgiven, and will leave a stain on my image for the rest of my time on Garnet. That is undeniable. That cannot be changed. And I acknowledge that. Before I was banned, I was brainstorming some ideas to keep player retention as well as improve peacetime. I was in the works of creating a lot of new operations for both SOC and base factions alike, and also wanted to include trainings and a form of roleplay into Frogmen, a faction I was about to become the Captain of. If I am unbanned, I want to continue with these ideas and start improving the server numbers. Seeing the server in its current state kind of hurts me inside, as I remember the days of 100+ players on the very map the server is rotated on now. Obviously, my main priority if unbanned is just to play the game again and interact with those I have lost communication with. But my goal, if I am accepted, is to boost the server population again by retaining new players in the server. Even though I haven't been able to access the server, I have been actively keeping up with the forums and Teamspeak, gathering peoples opinions on what direction the server should take. I have formulated ideas of my own, combining both sides of the spectrum, and do believe I have a workable compromise to help the server. I messed up as a manager. I messed up as a community member. I can go around in circles all day and promise I have changed, and tell you things that would change your opinion on me, but at the end of the day, you can't really take my word unless you have seen it. The past month, I have been hopping in Teamspeak and actively talking to enlisted, officers, and others. I hope that these interactions with me shapes your opinion on my appeal, as I tried to be as much as myself as possible. I made this appeal with good faith, as when I was in TS, I received an immense amount of support from players across the board. I want to give a big shoutout to everyone that has been keeping in touch with me and remaining friends, even through all the stuff I went through. You guys are the reason I want to return, and you guys are the reason I stayed. Coming back to the server means a big deal for me. If I am unbanned, my intention is to just make it as appealing as it once was in 2018. I hope that the positive responses I received on TS are reflected in this appeal. I understand reasons for me staying banned, and I accept those as well. It truly is up to the community if you guys want me back. All I can hope for is that the answer is yes.
  5. +1 Despite what happened, Bleach has been an incredibly nice and genuine guy. He constantly is interacting with the community and leaving a positive impression on people, and is in general an amazing guy to be around. I can say without a doubt that Bleach has changed for the better, and wants to return to MRP to make a difference. He has had a lot of time to reflect on what he's done, and it shows. Bleach has become a new person, and I believe he deserves a second chance.
  6. I know we didn't talk a lot, but you were always a chill asf guy to be around. Never really had any bad moments with you, and it's sad but very real the burnout from GMod. Only wish for the best in your future endeavors, and I'm going to miss you man. o7

    Ban Apeal

Without stirring too much, I agree with Hooman. This ban was 6 months ago, and it seems like he cares somewhat about playing on the server again. He came back after 6 months and made an appeal, showing somewhat that he wishes to return. I say give him another chance, and if he slips up, ban him permanently. The worst he could do is advertise again, right? +1
  8. peak of 173 viewers, 66 followers in one day. honored to know the #1 GMOD twitch streamer loading screen waiting room
  9. I believe the ban was for silent aim/aim assistance, not wall hacks. You may not have seen him through the hill or even killed him, but your mouse movements and snaps are the incriminating part.
  10. I'm confused by this. The spectator did have a connection to the server, and although it was with a high latency, it wouldn't mess up the clip. What happens with high latency and spectating is that what happens in game on the server which MRP is hosted on is delayed by the ping a user has. In this case, the spectator had 230 ping. This, however, doesn't mean the evidence is invalid. All that 230 ping means is that what the spectator sees is delayed by 230 ms. Having 230 ping doesn't mean that the footage is choppy; rather that the footage is delayed. Once again, if br0ken was jumping between 230 to 300 to 230 to 500 (as an example of a lag spike), it would change the evidence and the flicks could be purely due to lag. This isn't the case in this ban, as br0ken's ping, although high, remains consistent.
  11. As I stated above, high ping creates a difference in time between what the player sees and what the spectator sees, but doesn't just create snaps out of the blue. If the spectator's ping or players ping was jumping, then I could see the correlation.
  12. A T.Mod can gather evidence, submit it to higher ups, get their evaluation of the evidence, and then proceed with a ban with permission of higher staff. There's no problem with what broken did. Both these clips show silent aim, as it quite literally replicates how silent aim works on Gmod (and other games in general). After going over the evidence, and your very weak response to it, I'm going to have to go with a -1 Unless you have something concrete to back up your claims other than "I didn't do it" or "the clip doesn't show it", I have to stay with my decision. Good luck. To additionally add: for people saying 190 ping and low FPS: that didn't effect the clips in any way. 190 compared to the standard 120 to even 130 that some people play with is not that big of a ping difference, and at most would just delay what the spectator saw and what the player saw. It wouldn't create snaps in the footage, unless the spectator had a severe lag spike, which isn't the case here.
  13. I feel like this thread seriously devolved into something it wasn't meant to originally be. Some of your points seem valid, but posting this on the forums was probably not the best way to go at it. Personally, I have to agree with Ozzy and say that 2GA is not the best it has ever been at the moment, and a lot needs improvement. But no rules were broken, and Miller worked his way up to Marshall. Ultimately, it is up to him to run his faction how he sees fit, and while he should accept valid critique from his officers and enlisted, he can choose to run the faction how he wants to. Best course of action would have been to talk to other officers and confront Miller directly, and maybe move on to a manager. Wish you the best in future endeavors, but I hope this one comes to a resolution soon.
  14. Gl with future endeavors. Didn't know you well, but Army is my first faction and I always have to commemorate the boys. o7
