Well, this is it folks.

(no I'm not leaving the community or stopping playing darkrp)

I got to say, I never really thought this would happen for a long time, but after 2+ years of staffing I am getting tired, and balancing out college work as well is going to make fulfilling the duties I swore to complete as manager impossible. I'd like to have a stress-free summer before college begins, and honestly my physical health has taken a dramatic toll over the last few months due to a variety of things, including stress. Anyone who heard me on my "bad nights" can attest to that.

Despite this though, it has been a honor and a privilege to manage our DarkRP team for over a year, and even moreso an honor to have been staff on Garnet Gaming for 2 years. I have already spent a while talking with proggy over this, and have transferred all my documents I have created to him for his use. Know I am not at all leaving the community by any means, and I'll still be around all the time. I'm just stepping down from a position where I am doing staff work. Like hell I'd leave this community, you guys mean the literal world to me. So again, i'm still gonna be around all the time, just not as a staff member but rather as a normal player.

I wanted to shout out some important people throughout my journey of being staff here, while I may not mention all of them know most of you who I've kept in contact with are people that matter to me. I'm always here for any of you whenever you need it.

@DiegoZavier - Offered me 2$ to be the first one mentioned, couldn't resist. You mean a lot to me man, it's always been fun hanging out in teamspeak with you and cracking jokes. Stay cool up there in Canada man.

Just like proggy, I don't even know where to begin with this. We met on among us one night, and I murdered you and thought you hated me after a while because of that. We hung out and caught some server crashers the day before I became manager though, and ever since then its always been a pleasure and a ton of fun to be able to work with you though. On top of that, I consider you a great friend of mine and I'm always down to do some gaming or call some scammers (if its the right time for them to be doing scams) with you whenever! Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with this team, and get to know a ton of amazing people who I've watched and help grow into better people. It's shocking how wholesome and great a DarkRP community can really be. I'll probably eventually return to staff at some point, but know I'll always be here for you, and for the team man. Thank you.

If I missed anyone, know that I still care about most of that I've met, and you can always reach out to me if you need advice, support, or just a friend to hang out with and talk to. I'm not leaving the community by any means, just resigning from staff work. That's some bullshit,

I'd much rather have actual content over having it be nighttime, if that's the cost for a ton of cool shit then so be it. Most people I've talked to could give less of a fuck if they see the moon and all they do is rave about cinema, and all the other fun shit garnets added. Idk who you talking to, but I guarantee you if you talk to anyone who's been around for years most of them are probably preferring having actual content they can use over the game looking a lil more pretty

The idea behind the grove having keypad cracker/lockpick is simple: they are a higher level gang.

If crips/bloodz want to gain access to these tools they may do so through a black market dealer, which allows for more purpose to purchase these items. Otherwise the black market dealer would lose one of the key buyers for these items.

Unfortunately this cannot be done without actually fully editing the map, which would mean everyone would need to download an entirely new map for a single change (adding a functioning door to this building) which is not worth the effort or time to accomplish.

In regards to pd being unraidable, maybe @Nutter and @Proggy can change the rules so that PD can only have 2 fading doors for entrance.

Keep in mind, the tax bill is merely to keep the PD active and have a reason to raid bases. But remember, only one tax bill can be sent every 5 minutes and the odds of a big base evading it is small unless they want to have some action with the PD.

If you're fine with this rate agree, if not rate disagree

and as such this will be worked on being implimented.

Please not suggestions are not final just because it was accepted, this is not a 100% guarantee this will be implemented. Just that we will work on it.

Prop limit being dynamic to the player count is currently fine as it is. Keep in mind a ton of props on a 100+ player server can cause lag.

For those who might not understand my angle, I am more then fine having the rule that if a mayor has a base the warden can not assist in making it, or even implementing a rule that wardens cannot make bases. The majority of the wardens ability to build was angled towards creating a more fun and lively jail environment, not fortifying the PD even more. Decorating jail cells, making things around the jails, and just generally having fun was the main goal. I think the closest thing to a base I've ever seen a cop make is extra fenced walls for cells that prisoners could walk around in without being able to break out. Pd wardens would rarely if at all make a actual defense system because that was the mayor's job, not theirs.

Tdlr, I'm perfectly fine with accepting wardens would not be allowed to build to fortify the PD and only build for more fun reasons. It'd be up to you guys what angle you would want to take this in, I just wanna be able to build fun prisons again. Whether or not that includes base building, I really don't care.

If you're a printer farmer who as spent millions on printers. You can simply avoid any issues by paying the (1-5%) bill (will be capped at 50k). If you make 100k from when you joined and you get billed, your bill is 5k. If you make 1 mill your bill is 50k. if you make 100mill your bill will still be 50k.

Yo if it's capped at 50k, manually done by a mayor, and you have to be chosen by the mayor (and you can only be chosen once an hour) I think this is pretty reasonable.

+1 the entire suggestion, assuming this is the angle you choose to take for this, it sounds good!

He can totally edit his staff app if he finds he is missing good paragraphs, etc. Not sure who told you otherwise. Some people might not change their -1s but he can totally redo his staff applications paragraphs, etc. If he feels fit to do so. Again it might not change people's critiques, but it also very well could.

Now he can't exactly just post a new one completely (unless he didn't follow the format, etc.) Until a decision is made on how long he needs to wait, but he has 100% of a right to change his staff application and improve it before a final decision is made.

Yeah, I feel like some people are brushing over the printer tax tbh, again as I said in my post assuming evasion gets a warrant that's a very easy way to fuck with someone without getting in trouble, plus the fact that a lot of people who base with printers might honestly bounce if we begin taking earnings. As I said in my first post, everything else sounds cool, but I 100% -1 the printer/illegal item taxation. (Keep in mind I don't even base and I see the problem with this, that says something.)

A good compromise would be bankers could be taxed on the printers stored with them, and we add incentives for people to run banks. Not only would that fix this problem but if we added more incentive to run a bank it'd make that class used a lot more too. Just food for thought, and honestly I think it's a lot more realistic that way. Plus, I think it'd be funny to have a bank attempting to tax evade on its stored printers.

Now. Assuming this "tax to have printers" really is just 1-5k an hour or something along those lines, I don't really see nearly as much of an issue with it. It could appear after you collect money, and apply to that printer (so people who sold off their printers don't worry about it) however thats really all I could agree to. It would also not have to be per printer, especially if you are farming a fuckton of printers. That'd just both piss people off and inflate the pd vault drastically.

@Bizzy keep in mind not only do I not base but I also absolutely love being mayor, and even I think the balance it's getting way too tipped in their favor if we add this suggestion as-is. These solutions would make all parties happy, and would allow for even more policerp! Hope to see what you think of them.

If it would just WANT the player that doesn't sound overpowered. But to be able to individually target any person playing the game with a WARRANT and tear down their base with an army of cops, without any actual evidence besides the mayor's Godlike psychic abilities, sounds like an insane addition to the server. That does NOT sound like a server I would want to play on... I've played NaziRP that is more free than that.

Maybe a midway compromise, bankers can only be taxed on printers. I agree, printers being taxed is a horrible idea, unless it's through legal ways.

Suppose your targeting someone's base, they want to keep making money so they evade, without knowing police are camping outside their base ready to destroy it. I can see serious targeting issues coming from it.

Everything else sounds cool though

@ShankNinja is one of our bigger bases so I trust him on printer tax, and the idea of the mayor being someone who can see all printers being used is honestly stupid. The cost of both our bigger printer users using printers less thanks to this and the amount of easy ways to harrass someone with warrants through this is staggeringly large.
