Garnet has made it clear that map rotations will happen through the use of a suggestion on the forums when enough players feel as if it is time to do so. Recently, multiple players have been making requests for a map swap. I feel as if it is now time to discuss possibly swapping to the next map in rotation (likely echo/taiga however I am unsure). Understandably it is “odd” for players to become sick of a map in such a short amount of time, however, since the promise was made, it couldn’t hurt to make another swap out of the already massive catalogue of Garnet maps. Taken directly out of eli’s suggestion: Echov1 (rp_garnet_echo_fog) ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1909806842 ) Taigav3 (Couldn't find this one either. If anyone has it please post it here) Note: this is a suggestion to discuss swapping to whatever the next map in rotation would be, or whatever map players feel would fit well as the next map. Feel free to provide any feedback as to whether you agree with a swap at this time, or if you would like to switch to a map which is not listed Reasoning: Multiple players have requested map changes through TS, suggestions, and others. A short amount of time has passed since the current map has been released, however, we were previously under the idea that a map rotation was in play. This will help keep players engaged with somewhat new content during the pop drought and SWRP launch, keeping the server refreshing to vets and new players alike. Again, it is understandable to be confused as to why players request a switch in such a short amount of time, but considering it is quite the small change, and it was already suggested by Garnet to make a post when the time comes, I thought it was a good time to at least discuss a change with the decline in pop, a large portion of leadership leaving for swrp, and players beginning to complain about the map being stale. huskaii 586 Posted July 22, 2021 Share Posted July 22, 2021 I agree, i tried to get back into MRP and one of the big reasons i couldnt do so was the map. For some reason this map compared to all the others is so lackluster. Even desert felt less open than this one. IDK if thats just me but a map change definitely feels right at this time. 2 Link to comment

I honestly don't give a fuck as long asf garnet doesn't have to do much to the map -1 though based off my interactions with the map. I kinda like it tbh. PrisonNightmare 741 Posted July 22, 2021 Share Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) My personal opinion is the map itself is decent enough to play on except for a few issues (embassy lighting for example, plz god fix). I just think it would become a nice change of pace for everyone on the server if the map itself were changed. My only concern is if accommodations would be made for AFSOC/RU Airforce, since almost every other map except this one wasn't built with those in mind. as for the maps suggested, im ngl i have a memory of a goldfish so I don't remember what they look like lol. I mean in my opinion I really like the map right now based purely off of the events. The events are really good to hold on here, but something that could help with keeping the population enjoy the server a bit more. Maybe User xd/SA get the ability to /setmap to any map for large scale events. People want to switch maps but right now, there are some issues with the map but we have a literal suggestion channel for them map called "MAP-SUGGESTIONS" we could use it to fix certain areas. But for now the map should stay but if you want a change of pace and want something sort of new maybe add /setmap to encourage the GM team to host server wide events that last for hours. I'm like 80% sure the map hasn't been changed/edited once since it's release even with that channel being a thing since April lol, so I'm pretty sure it's safe to say they aren't looking at it.
