Casino

Re-introcued a partially re-written version of our last casino, with multiple tiered slot machines

In the next upcoming months, I will revamp some old machines, IE: poker and re-introduce them to the server

 

 

 

 

Death Animations

Our most underrated feature (probably because most of it is paid-for) is the death animations :^( 

Instead of non-ceremonially having your lifeless fucking corpse fall to the ground, you can now instead have a naruto-inspired substitution jutsu take place, and rather than a corpse, you'll turn up into a fog, followed by a stray plank falling to the ground

Pet System

The Pet System has been added onto our server

Pets have been partially re-written and changed around to be optimized, if your computer was made in 2010 and Pets are causing an FPS loss to your game session, they will throttle their own behavior in order to boost your FPS, and if that doesn't work, pets will automatically be disabled for you!

HUGE thank you to the TERA community for publicly releasing their source code for pets!

 

 

 

Police System

Warrant

Increased Search Warrant expiration time from 1 minute to 3 minutes

 

 

Mayor Laws

Mayor law: Hazards | SEE CARD merged with boot throwing

Removed display of legal laws for redundancy (only illegal laws should be shown to players)

 

 

 

Police Radio

A Radio SWEP has been added for police officers with the capability to quickwant users for intelligent reasoning (WIP).

The Radio SWEP can wanted players with a simple left mouse button click if they are lockpicking/keypad cracking a base, or you had witnessed the player murdering another user in downtown. Even during a lockdown, this radio can detect whether a player is out in the streets violating lockdown laws.

 

Right click will create a dispatch to which all police officers will be able to report to! 

 

 

 

Administrative

Logging

Added detailed administrative logging for when players are hired by other players, or their contracts have expired.

added mugging logs, hardcoded

 

Utility

Introduced PropBan which disallows players from spawning props for a duration (due to abusive behavior). Allowed T. Admin+ access.

 

 

 

Bugs & Miscellaneous

Improved server connect times by 25% by consolidating files and removing unused code. Our join times were already sub 1 minute :D.

Fixed the ability to physgun weapons dropped directly from inventory

increased voice radius by 30%, allowing players to hear one another from further away

Updated DarkRP to the latest version and re-merged all the Garnet proprietary modules (optimizations, hireable roles, etc)

Partially recoded the DJ Radio, providing the server a 7.8%  performance boost on average.

Corrected the behavior of Bail NPC, allowing the mayor to enable/disable bails.

Added back the $500 minimum requirement for /dropmoney, and made dropped money wear away and despawn after 5 minutes.

Corrected issue where Staff On Duty would get a cut of PD payout

Disabled the writecheck command and its variants.

Added automated timer to remove invalid lights with no owner

Added income tax to hireable roles

Fixed issue where certain HL2 voicelines would not trigger properly

Corrected issue where votes/polls would stay on a player's screen indefinitely

How much of a FPS Hit is pets if theres a good number on your screen? Also think it would be nice to create a user sided command to disable them visually for players who wanna maximize there fps?

But yea absolutely, perhaps a player-job where you can be a blackjack dealer, and make money when punters loose? I'd love that for sure and it would add to the player-driven economy too
