Auto-Whitelist Quiz

DIs on our server are not all that active, and I find that leaders to base factions don't go out of their way to ensure players are being trained throughout the day, as I have found myself on an alt waiting inside the training room for HOURS on end, which I believe is unacceptable, and is most definitely hurting our playerbase's population

Upon joining the server you will be prompted to access a Quiz, you will be instructed to read our servers rules prior to ensure you pass it.

DIs are still free to manually train people or assist them via preparation for their quiz over Discord/Teamspeak!

In-game map functionality with locations coming soon in order to further assist new players!

Color Identification Overhaul

The colors each respectful faction will be filled in as will be their new identification color on all hud elements (chat, scoreboard, overhead)

Weapon Balancing

Sniper Edition

No orsis, i'm not specifically looking at you, but you will be affected and testing will start with you since you're the most popular!

Amongst the biggest complaints on our server is how OP snipers are, particularly the Orsis, which can be purchased for as low as $10 PERMANENTLY when on sale.

Starting today, the Orsis will be nerfed somewhat via the introduction of breathing. Target that are outside of immediate range may require you to use the breathing mechanism for pinpoint accuracy

TO DO: add more randomization to the unsteady functionality, whereas it is currently just a repeated up-and-down motion

In addition to this somewhat of a nerf, hip-firing a sniper will soon be somewhat inaccurate, requiring you to scope in for a moment to guarantee accuracy!

 

 

PS to those of you who will complaint regarding how I just nerfed the most popular donator weapon on the server:

I STILL favor the majority of the playerbase's requests whether they're donators or not. While I do appreciate your support, that $15 is minuscule in the grand scheme of things when our bills are nearing $3,000 a month to upkeep the community at this point. Not only that, but if you are incredibly angered by this change, you didn't buy this weapon to support the server, but rather to gain an unfair advantage in gameplay, which was never the intention. Fortunately for many, I have not been around for almost a decade trying to make money off of the game, and that is blatantly clear I would hope.

If you are still very angered by this change that you wish to charge back, be my guest, but sniping has been somewhat of a larger issue on this server for awhile now, and I think that this is a very fair solution without making it a 2-shot weapon.

The quiz will definitely be helpful, maybe people will stop calling us the n word because a trainer isnt nearby.

 

Also, I know you think color stuff is dumb but I think it's really cool they're getting a change. Definitely will be nice to see them somewhat match each other now

Yeah, we could've had a quiz added years ago, but I always assumed that there would be more minges as a result (which I still do) but I don't think we'll find another Shephard who could have DIs training 24/7.

I really don't think the color changes are dumb,  we'll be able to stop different factions more easily now.

I am a little worried about the quiz. while i love it, and think it’ll be a good idea it takes away from DIs. the only way you are able to be promoted to a certain rank is by achieving DI. so, by basically removing a reason for them. people are going to think it is useless to have them. Honestly, i’m just playing devils advocate. 

also, if the quiz stays the same every time, it will be easier for people who have been removed/blacklisted to gain their rank back within seconds. so maybe a good idea is to keep the quiz random every time, with a list of 10 ish questions.

Overall, great update, I'm glad you listen to the community for their feedback and opinions.

I'm somewhat skeptical about the Auto-Whitelisting System, but we'll see the results and how it goes.

Those that put in the work won't be affected. Active DIs can still have a player be trained manually. The issue lays where (like this morning) we have had 0 active DIs and 20 players, some of which were new that joined, wrote things in OOC, and left.

4000 iq. Love the update and looking forward to seeing new colors in the feed. Would love to see some new updates for those who have prestiged but that could be something to tackle in the future. Great update as always Nutter Man.

I was having a full blown conversation with some dudes on TS regarding future updates, some of which were late-game Prestige content. Our issue right now is that due to the fact we've been around for SO many years donations have cut down so much that we reasonably can't afford to pay a developer for as large of a tasks as I require, I'm possibly going to have to make donations to the donation portal so that weapon packages are no longer permanent, but rather 30-day subscription-based items.

There is a cooldown between quiz attempts, but you can take it as many times as you want until you pass.
