I think everyone can agree medic classes on MRP are terrible. Nobody ever touches the classes unless they are the Tier 3 classes that also have good weapons with them. I suggest we give every basic medic class at the least a carriable riot shield. If the staff is feeling generous then giving the classes a deployable shield would be the best option in my opinion. The medic classes as they are now are pretty much unplayable. Killing someone with a pistol in war is completely improbable. The server as it stands now is a quick scoping sniper simulator. Getting people to an objective is hard enough and having zero players with medical equipment makes it even harder to hold an objective. Then the player who has successfully made it to an objective against all odds runs out of meds. Now what? Defend comms with a pistol? Give the medic classes a shield so that they can continue to be of use after they run out of meds. Its time we make a change that benefits everyone in the server.6 points

https://www.gmodstore.com/market/view/xenin-battle-pass Description: The link above is xenin battlepass its avaialble in the gmod store for 13$ and has huge benefits for the server. It offers rewards for daily challenges (Or just logging in!) this can be in the form of practically any entity, addon, or amount of XP. It has two sections for rewards one section is the battle pass which offers additional benefits and rewards but must be purchased for access to the rewards and the normal section which will give lesser rewards but is already normally applied. Now, the cool part about this addon is you can create challenges for players to do or set it to all they have to do is log-in to recieve the rewards. With the removal of the quest system and the need for more passive RP these challenges offer an incentive to log in and interact with other players. You can do challenges ranging from logging in or walking a certain distance to killing people with a certain weapon. This is a less tidious and more fast paced way for people to participate in 'Challenges' or 'Quests'. This addon offers alot of freedom and I believe would be a great addition. Reasoning: [how would this benefit our server?: Things like this reward system incentivze players to interact with the server rather than turtling into their base and afk'ing until the next war they can grind out these challenges for money or xp. Not only that but if the challenges are set to where the player only has to log in to recieve the reward you may start to see more people reminding themselves to log in just to recieve these rewards. Additional Information: [Photos/Videos][/CODE] Rewards can range from money, xp, one life weapons, explosives, any entity and possibly vehicles with configuration5 points

I think while disguised, we should have the functionality to hold E on all players to "Examine" at which point, it'll reveal details about players, IE: "Nothing out of the ordinary..." - genuine US player "Shoes untied..." - genuine US player "Facial hair unruly..." - genuine US player "This soldier appears to be carrying standard equipment." "This soldier's uniform is in good condition." "No signs of recent injuries or combat activity." "This soldier's behavior is consistent with standard operating procedures." "The soldier appears to be focused and attentive." Whereas when you inspect/examine a disguised player, the following will show up instead: "This soldier's uniform does not match any known US Army patterns." "This soldier's equipment is non-standard." "The soldier appears to be carrying unapproved weapons or gear." "The soldier's behavior is suspicious and does not match standard operating procedures." "This soldier's rank and insignia are incorrect or inconsistent." "The soldier appears to be trying to conceal their face or identity."3 points

THIS IS FOR CSDESERT(OPEN MAPS) To start this off this will be a longer suggestion. There’s 3 suggestions that will tie in with each other. SQUAD SYSTEM: The squad system could be implemented in a few different ways. My idea was to split up the classes into squads (eg. snipers/markman squad A, soldier/LMG squad B, breacher/infiltrator squad C). Each squad would have its respective leaders and roles. Squads would have to use /SQUAD to join their teams. It wouldn’t interfere with communication or the way people want to play. It would be directed more towards base factions and newer players to give them a taste of what a SOC faction could be like. Depending on what class they play on they would be on (insert squad). BY playing in each squad they could find the niche they like and join the SOC faction associated with (insert niche). For SOC factions they would be considered their own squad. They will communicate and play separately as they do now. It wouldn’t change as much for SOC’s but it would help with player retention and bring better numbers to each faction and their niche. SQUAD RADIO SPAWN: The squad radio spawn would be a limited spawn FOB radio taken from the game SQUAD. It would be completely reserved for officers and it would be an item to place down as a FOB. If the officers were to die it would spawn them back on the radio and break it. Each person in their squad (using /squad) would be respawned on their radios until it is broken or has run out of (x amount) of spawns. When it is destroyed it would send a chat message in /p (squad chat) saying “Your radio has been destroyed” or something similar. It would help with complaints of base camping (HELP NOT FIX) and add a whole new gameplay loop for the server. CSdesert is a large and very open map that will be a sniper fest, if we can give people a chance to spawn out of base near to an obj it would provide a more difficult yet fun war. BUILDER CERTIFICATION: The builder cert would use the Fortification tablet that's on the Star Wars RP server. The certification would be a small trial similar to the breach and clear cert. Each squad would have at least one builder. Builders would have the ability to build sandbag walls, camo tents, and concrete walls all for cover. Their jobs would be to provide defense for their squad and fortify their positions. To combat spam building they would have a “cost” (eg. 1000 points, sandbags 100, tent 200, concrete wall 150). To combat minging and build up when a war is over all built items would be wiped and bothe bases would have a no build AOE. It would have a rank limit (eg. SGT+DS) to qualify for builder. Builders would bring another level of fun and change the way people would play the game. It would help (NOT STOP) complaints of snipers and camping. It would provide more roles for people and change the meta of the server in a good way. CQC factions could build a small FOB to hold an obj and sniper factions could build cover to provide support for the other squads. Its main use would be building FOBs for the radio system and would bring all three of the suggestions into a more immersive and fun experience. All of these are up for changes. My ideas are meant to be built on and used for player retention and changes from the sniper meta. Please if you have ideas to add on, comment and share under this thread.2 points

No Collide Props are not to be used on the server. In order to gain access to a no collided prop you have to dupe it from Singleplayer, and/or from someone else in game, which is considered an exploit. @ChrisRid2 points

Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I have spent my weekends and afternoons during the week on the server, and I cannot help but notice the sheer number of moderators and administrators who are active at night (after midnight). This is the main reason I want to be part of the staff team. I will be hardworking and an active player, as I spend my days here. I do have school from 8 am to 3:40 pm CST, so those are the hours I will not be active from Monday to Friday. I am also a nocturnal player, so I will be active during those hours from 4 pm to 2 am on weekdays, and on weekends or days off I can be active from when I wake up until 6 am. I have a very good understanding of the server and the way it works. I am also familiar with many other people on the server. I have read the staff rules, training guide, application rules, as well as most of the server rules multiple times, so I can become comfortable with them. As I have discussed before, my main reason for wanting to join the staff team is because the server's staff and implication are very dry in the mornings. I will make it my responsibility and job to make sure the server is under lawful order during those hours. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details I haven't if not mistaken. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: Not for this game How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: On an average day I can spend between 4 - 12 hours a play session. If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod? I am involved in football, computer building and tweaking, weightlifting, traveling hanging out with my friends on weekends. stream a lot of csgo and valorant and whatever game strikes my interest. Did you read the staff rules?: BDC Sureak1 point

[minimum 2 paragraphs]: Having been an experienced staff member, It will be smooth sailing going through the training process as I am very familiar with the commands and the objective of being a staff member. I'm acquainted well with the majority of the staff team and in good standing with most as well. I have always been polite to even the people I don't like to be around. I recently resigned because things came up IRL and the game was becoming very unenjoyable due to some unfortunate circumstances. I'm ready for commitment again and ready to approach every issue genuinely. If I were to get accepted, I will give it my all to fulfill my duties as a staff member as I once did previously. My purpose is to help the newer players as much as possible with the tools available. With the tools available, I'll go out of my way to help others with teleports and job sets. I will do my best to uphold fair judgment throughout any report or issue that arises throughout my term. My main objective is to give the best experience to all players on the server and go forward improving the server with the opportunities given to me. I'll provide as much as possible within server discussions and assist in any way as much as possible. Suggestion: Remove nation radio and repurpose U chat to do the following command when pressing it: /radio Description: Instead of our current instant-use radio, I suggest we make the U key automatically input /radio. This would force warleads to give out a new /channel in debrief for war and allow players to attempt to steal the opposing nation's radio channel. Reasoning: Radio would work exactly the same as it does now, except you have to manually set your channel to a new frequency. While it adds one more step to global communication, it opens the door for infiltration that has a goal. Back when, if the radio was successfully stolen, it provided a real advantage and forced the compromised nation to scramble to get everyone on the same page. Another dynamic to war. Me, positioning to steal the radio channel circa 2017, colorized: How this works for anyone unclear: /channel 89.9 Press U -> [Radio 89.9] Hello1 point

Then why is that not explicitly mentioned in the rules? Shouldn't it be made a little more clear for new players to understand?1 point

Entry faction medics should be just that.. healing bots running around waiting for their first real tryout. Other than that, I would agree all non-entry factions (Army/Taliban) are deserving of more to their loadouts, IE: shields1 point

In all honesty, refusing to give the class at least a sub-par weapon like some shitass SMG is contributing to the self-heal meta. The only people using these support classes are either brand new players fresh out of training wanting to play a class that can support its teammates or vet's with over 1K hours a five separate donator weapons. I would even go as far as to give them some very bad smg and smokes to truly allow these classes to play their roles instead of giving into the learning curve of the server.1 point

People say the event description is what matters. It doesn't. What does is, will you crash the server, and will people have fun.1 point

This is my standard Staff application comment where I say there's no issues with you as a Staff member, but would always prefer you on the GM team rather than the Staff team1 point

Yo just came back real quick to say I never cheated lol. Didn't play on the server to cheat, really just played for the people and I wanted to get into vogeta or something it started with a V. Just wanna say sorry if the ban was induced from my actions in game, or just how I acted in general. I did have clips at the time of the ban but seeing my 6 hour sessions on the server, made me realise I had no life so I just quit trying and ye no hard feelings loved every minute of playing on the server. Goodluck to everyone!0 points

-1 You resigned from admin pretty recently and the main reason was due to the other staff members and overall burnout. Absolutely 0 confirmation it wont happen again and the staff team hasn't changed.0 points

(include any proof): I was warned for having a No Collide prop with Wireframe material not acting as a hidden door. It was in plain sight on the front door of my base. (Image: https://imgur.com/a/xtraZI4) Here is a photo of the base entrance. Please note that the No Collide prop is the one wireframed with white material to make it abundantly clear that it exists, and is clearly the entrance (Not hidden). Why should your warn be removed? In the Garnet Gaming DarkRP Rules (https://forums.garnetgaming.net/index.php?/topic/19909-darkrp-server-rules/), the only mention of No Collide props mentions it cannot be used to make a hidden entrance. I think in this example, 1. It is NOT hidden + actually makes it clearer where my entrance is and 2. Is used for a good purpose to protect people on the outside from bullets, explosion, etc. A rule stating No Collide props may not be used as a hidden entrance insinuates that No Collide props may be used in a different context. It is also never mentioned in the Garnet Gaming DarkRP Rules that No Collide props may not be duped in from singleplayer. Why am I being warned for something that is not mentioned in the Garnet Gaming DarkRP rules? If we go by the fine print, I am being warned for something that is not against the rules.-1 points

Denied After a discussion, we've decided not to implement this to the server as it may bring upon metagaming would discourage player interaction without them knowing if their comms are compromised. Secure channels are easy for new players to grasp, there's really no reason to complicate it further.-1 points
