     Well well well, some of you know me, a few of you don't. I have been on this server for about 5 years now (I think it's 6 but my forums account was made in 2019 so). A little background on my experience throughout this community. My introduction to GarnetGaming truly began I think around 2017, maybe earlier. This server to me really was just something to do in the times I was banned from another, now discontinued server Urban Gamers. When Urban Gamers got shut down, I'm pretty sure Garnet was the next server I tried. Both servers being of vanilla nature, I was drawn to this server and enjoyed playing it albeit very different from the last community. Throughout my time playing Garnet I've met many players that I surely have now forgotten.. (but I'll never forget the original Jackle). In each 'era' of my activity on Garnet I've always, always wanted to apply for staff but, my mistakes and bans and warns have always made me feel discouraged to a career as a DarkRP moderator. However as of recently, I have put a lot more concentrated hours and finally begun to level up -having been a level 60 for like 4 years. I've always been confident in my ability to moderate the server, I am very, very familiar with the rules. At least the rules that have generally stayed the same over the years.

 

     Now, to speak towards why I would be a superb decision over the other applicants. I would like to call attention to the problems I personally have in some of the staffing I've experienced in the server. Beginning with bias and general inconsistency. Though it's easy to have things not go your way and blame staff bias I believe it is true. There are times where staff of the server indeed have bias, whether it be towards me or against me it is something that goes on in the server. Now, sometimes this is not bias but inconsistency in the staff's interpretation of the rules. Something I truly hope to change for the better is a general consensus and understanding of what the rules truly mean and how they should be applied in RP scenarios. Those that know me, like me or dislike me should know that I am someone with generally no inclinations towards anybody. I will base with you one day and destroy all your printers in a raid the next. Currently I have built relationships with a few members of the server which could serve to contradict this point, I'd just like to point out that they are good influences and do not break the rules. My second, and a common issue that I would assume everyone to have written into their application: activity. Everyone has experienced it, you're online at an odd hour of the night, some guy has a failbase and you are screwed because there are no staff to assist you. So you just sit there in disdain while he gets to collect your would-be illegally-printed currency. Now recently with the surge in workload I've experience, I've been conserving my sleep. So for the next few weeks generally I won't be the guardian angel for the nocturnal Australian player. Nevertheless, in my modest hours of DarkRP gaming (between noon and 9:00PM PDT) I have still observed lulls of staff activity. Even when there are 6+ staff online! I believe the cause to this is the nature of money printing and being afk, watching Youtube etc. While I'm a money printing connoisseur, I can't help but keeping active in downtown - (much to my demise)

 

     I do hope despite what you will be reading following this, you all consider me for a staff position, and see in me what I see in myself.

I have a total of 5 bans, however 2 were appealed: 

 

The other three, however were not. Here is a ban for RDM + LTAP in 2021. My justification for the appeal was that I did not get the chance to go through with the sit, where the RDM was a genuine mistake due to my internet being shut of at 12:00AM

Here is a ban from just a few weeks ago. On the basis of a rule I am still very conflicted on to this day. Feel free to read for yourself but I was told by staff (that painfully I cannot remember, and did not record) that it was okay my rocket splash killed others, yet in this instance it was decided it was my fault. Though I would like to point out that since then my experience with rocket splash reports has been consistent in that it is my responsibility to ensure I do not damage or kill innocent bystanders in proximity of a base I am raiding.

Lastly, on January of 2022 I was banned by TheDudeAbides for Mass RDM. I have no recollection of this ban, nor was I able to find any appeal for it on the forums. 

 

P.S. I'm also banned on the Garnet Global Discord.

How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: My schedule is volatile due to the nature of my occupation. In the following few weeks there will be periods of time no longer than 5 days that I will be absent from the server. However in between these absences I have been completely engaged in the server, spending around 8+ hours on my off-days and at LEAST 3 hours in my time after work.
If you have any, what hobbies or activities are you involved in outside of Garry's Mod?: I like playing music, I sing, and play every instrument in a rock band (I've performed ONCE in the server before). I love my beloved 3 cars, especially my GT-Four Celica RC. Other than that, the obvious video games with a current fixation on DarkRP.

I do not have much in-game interaction with you so I can't add that to the application (probably due to the difference in timezones). I'm more than willing to give you a chance if others agree! This app is well typed and your honesty about the bans is commendable. You more than meet the requirements. I've had many interactions with you since I started playing and even though we've had a few clashes; you are knowledgeable about the rules and are helpful to new players. Best of luck!

It has been a long time since the last ban but I won't hold it against you too much as you seem to have learned what went wrong in each situation." I agree with this assessment although from what I've seen of you in-game I believe you would make a good staff member. You have the potential to be very helpful especially given the times you play as there aren’t many staff members on during those hours due to your timezone. I believe you would be very beneficial because that's when most chaos happens for an extended period of time (MST is my timezone so it's very late in the night).

- 1 the playtime is great, and I see you in-game a lot, the paragraphs are good but, that is a lot of bans my friend a little too much for my liking. plus I've never really had any recent interactions with you to see if you have changed find me in-game and prove you are a changed person and ill plus one.

Your most recent ban was only on July 15th which wasn't that long ago. You also mention that you are banned in the Garnet Global Discord, what's the reason for that?

Hi there. I am going to say that I hang out with this person a bit and I have seen him in game and he is a very chill and overall easygoing individual. While he does goof around a bit he doesn't go too far outside of the rules. I am going to say here that after looking at your ban history you have went nearly a year without a ban and only copping a UMRDM ban a couple months ago. I will say this whenever I see UMRDM happen especially if it's with a rocket launcher I myself sometimes like to give the benefit of the doubt and the first time I see it let them off with a verbal as not many players know about the it's still RDM even if it's splash damage rule so I am not going to hold that ban against you as you have been told many mixed things about it. But just know for the future if you kill anyone with the rocket launcher that is not inside the building you are raiding it is still RDM. Anyways. With that said I am going to give you my +1 and wish you the best of luck here.
