  1. Description: In summary I am suggesting that the weapons and the general combat is overhauled back to be similar to what was used during 2019-2020, as of rn the hit reg is poor and the gunplay is unreliable/slow on the whole. I know how much work has been put in across the span of time since but as of right now the balance is basically that all the weapons are in the most part unreliable and inaccurate. Rather than the weapons all being balanced for a purpose as in SMG/Shotguns<Close range> AR<Mid Range> Sniper/MarksmenRifle<Long Range> as of right now the Smgs spread is so high they arent on the most part useful even in very close range scenarios. ARs have very slow time to kill at mid range and are actually more reliable in close range rather than mid range. And Snipers require that u are stationary for a period of time before firing to be atall accurate and even at that can seem inaccurate. These factors all contribute to the gunplay being alot more slow and more RnG based rather than skill based. I know that some of these for examples the stationary use of snipers is more realistic however this is a Gmod based FPS and tactical realism should come second to weapon balancing. The use of increased aimspread is a useful tool for adjusting the time to kill on certain weapons but a better method is to increase gun recoil wether horizontal or vertical. In the most part Increasing aimspread increases RnGs during gunfights where as increasing recoil makes for more skill based gunplay as recoil is controllable by user input where as higher aimspread makes the user rely on RnG and is not able to be effected by the user apart from the user remaining as stationary as possible, this leads to slow paced wars where movement and skill is less of a help and more of a hindering as guns are more reliable for stationary players. so in blanket terms, The spread of pellets on shotguns should be decreased to increase accuracy and reliability, whilst increasing the shotguns recoil as to balance this change. SMGs should have higher fire rates and lowered aimspread whilst greatly increasing there recoil as to make them great for short range engagements and semi reliable in the short to mid range and the recoil should prevent them front being better then ARs in the mid range. ARs for the most part just require lower aimspread and higher recoil as to make them more of skill based weapons. MarksmenRifles, they as of right now are in a decent place of balance but would require to be changed so that they could be accurate even whilst moving. Snipers, Snipers require that the time to get an accurate shot is greatly reduced so that they are accurate almost instantly after becoming stationary. Reasoning: I believe these changes would increase the enjoyability of wars as once again they would become more competetive and skill based over just being a game of numbers.

  2. Since returning to the server (other than me being washed), I've noticed a massive increase in issues with hit registration and just overall unreliability with gunplay. I know some of that is the (so I've been told) swap to worse hardware/resources for hosting MRP, but a good amount is that guns just don't feel good to use, outside of a few outliers. Overall, recoil should be increased (something you can compensate/skill for) and aimspread (semi-rng) decreased across the board. I'd rather every gun be busted OP then most guns hitting like a wet noodle and a few outliers being strong. I don't really have much more to add than that, Soap summed up what general changes I would make w/o looking at numbers directly.

  3. In-game Name: JENG TACL SSG 2589 Cloudy Age: 19 Playtime: 137:08:01 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:601029631 How many hours per week do you have to commit to this role? 25+ hours per week Previous Leadership Experience: [2 Paragraphs Minimum] Starting off with irl experience, I have actually managed a couple stores. My first time in a leadership position was working at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I started as a salesman and worked my way up to assistant manager. I ran the store while doing this because the manager was running to multiple different stores and doing things with corporate all day. My second time in a leadership position was being a team lead at Walmart. I was in charge of the entire sporting goods section. This included setting schedules, taking peoples vacation days, making sure people showed up, and overall keeping that section of the store under control. Other than managing stores, I have started a couple businesses during the summer while in high school. They eventually got to where I could pay my friends to help me, so I would say I'm pretty good at running things. Currently I am an EMT, this job also takes some leadership skills. I take leadership in situations when I get to the scene, including telling people where to go, quick thinking, fast response, and overall taking care of people. For my experience in leadership for video games, I have a few different situations. My first time taking leadership in a video game was when I started a Gears of War 2 team. This was getting members to join, promoting them, and being active. We got into tournaments and came close to winning money multiple times. This lasted for about a year. I made it to T. Admin in DarkRp. To get to this position I had to train people, help out all staff members, and take charge of sits and different situations on the server. I believe I was well liked and respected as staff on this server. I am currently a GM on Garnet's Star Wars Rp. I do not have much experience in that category yet, but I believe I am good at running the events I do on this server, excluding the time I did an off-world. I also believe I am well liked and respected on this server as well. This includes coordinating where people go, communicating with navy, and keeping the player base interested. I am also Tano Company Leader at the moment. I think I did a very good job getting it started and training people for sharpshooter after they made it in. I did this because I wanted to see 501st thrive in another way. Why should you be chosen for this position over other applicants? [2 Paragraphs Minimum] I have a lot of leadership experience at my age. I am also good at communicating with people and welcoming people in any situation. I am also very active. I've put in a lot of hours since the server has been up and running. I truly have a passion for this server and its player base. Garnet Gaming has become a big part of my life this past year. The community makes up a large group of my friends. I not only want to make this server thrive but the battalion as well. I love the 501st legion and all its members. Also I am very good at public speaking. I know this role comes with debriefs and such, and I believe I am pretty good at that sort of thing. I am a good motivator. People will like me at this position because I am a good leader. I am a good person overall. I have made sure everyone knows I am around to help, and I believe they respect that. When I have free time on the server I try to spend it training or being productive within the battalion. My main goal on the server is to not only have fun but to better the player base as a whole and especially within the battalion. I like making sure everyone is having a good time and not just myself. If I am not being a GM for events I believe I always play a good leadership role in the field. I have shown that I can be a good lead with how well I think I've done at the Tano Company lead position. I have trained people and helped people at this position a lot. I am ready to take this step and help lead the 501st legion. I can guarantee you will be happy with my performance. I want to help this battalion as much as possible, and I can be very effective with the executive officer role. I can promise I will be active and committed to my role. I know this is what I want on the server and my mind won't change on that. I have made many friends on this server and I plan on continuing that. I believe the people in the 501st legion respect and like me as a leader and friend. I make sure I am always available for help and other things that need done on the server. I always make sure the things that need done are done and done well. With me at XO you will always have someone you can count on to run things well. What is your biggest strength and biggest weakness? [2 Paragraphs Minimum] I would say my biggest strength is my consistency. I am a very active player in the community. I am also active on the forums. I have never missed an off-world event. I have over 137 hours and almost none of them are AFK. I always stick by what I do and what I say. If I commit to something I stick to it. I am a very consistent person in the game and irl. If I am tasked with XO duties, you can count on me to get it done no matter the cost. My activity will not drop off without a valid reason with LOA or ROA. I am committed to this server and this battalion and all I want is to help it grow. My consistency as Tano Leader has helped it fill all the slots in the Google Docs. My consistency has helped me become a good GM. My consistency has gotten me MVP 2 months in a row on DarkRp. My biggest weakness is probably a lack of confidence. I always put on a good face, but when things don’t go my way I can get discouraged. When I ran the off world and it didn’t go as planned I was down about it. I felt like I wasn’t a good GM, but I did snap out of it. My confidence is definitely something I can work on. Sometimes I just need someone to snap me out of it, and I am normally good. I just want things to go my way and when they don’t I can get frustrated or sad about it. Recall a time you've failed as a leader, what went wrong, what could have gone better, how did it help you grow? [2 Paragraphs Minimum] I have brought this up in the application multiple times, and it has happened recently. Special allowed me to run my own off world event for the first time, and it went badly. It went wrong because of my lack of planning and preparedness. I was not prepared for the small map and the amount of spawn points. Also I did not prepare for the roleplay aspect that went wrong. I played a character I wasn’t ready to play. I tried to force a story that wasn’t there. It could have gone better if I just loaded into a single player and tested things out. It helped me grow by showing me that I can’t just improvise on everything. I am good at improvising, but some things just need a solid plan. I will not make that mistake again. I should have had more people to help me and that is something I will definitely do next time. It has helped me grow as a person, a GM, and a member of the Garnet community. It made me realize I can’t do everything on my own. It also showed me that I could be better about my planning skills. It is definitely something I will work on. I should have had more people to help me and that is something I will definitely do next time. I also have just grown overall with the experience and realizing I cannot do everything perfectly on the first try. It showed me I need to ask for help and be okay with that. I am an ambitious person, but it can hurt me sometimes. It definitely hurt my confidence, but I also grew to realize I can right my mistakes. I will do better next time. Do you understand that you may be removed from your position should you fail to uphold the standards and requirements of this role? Yes I do What is Kanye West's best song? Heartless

  4. I miss the old gun system where it was decent to use any gun and running with snipers wasn't slower, etc. I know that's not realistic but that's how we started on the server so that's why I at least miss it.

Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: Yes Referral(s): Didn't ask anyone Past experiences as staff: Previously T. Admin a couple of months ago How do you plan on benefiting our server? Having previous experience as staff on this server for a while really opens your eyes much more on what has changed, what has improved, and what has went down hill through out the past couple of years. Just like my previous times, I continue to bring what I have always brought to the table as staff. For example professionalism, unbiasedness, being helpful to all players, holding your composure and keeping a level head. These couple of things seem so simple and unimportant, but these are actually some of the most important roles you need to carry as staff. I plan on continuing all of these traits as well as helping others improve themselves. Most people are afraid of others being better than them, but what I look to do with players is to want them to be better than me. Teach them all you know and watch their improvement. It's super cool to see how much you can help someone improve and how far they can go and as you look back at it you realize you helped that person accomplish that. I'm neutral with all players and treat everyone equally. Something super important to me is treating 11B and Tali fair, answering their questions and taking time to talk to them and work with them. These guys are the most important part of the server. The only reason we have SOC factions are because of the lower enlisted being trained, worked with and eventually passing SOC tryouts. Most players push 11B and Tali off, but what I hope we can improve on is working with these guys more and leave them on good terms to where they want to come back to the server. Instead of switching sides in war to farm 11B for kills, work with them, give them pointers and be there for them when they have questions. You'd be surprised how far some of them can go if we just treated them fairly and gave them a chance. I know the staff system we use here from my previous experience, and in staff sits I plan on giving both guys a chance to talk and speak their side of the story. Many staff just listen to one guy look in logs and ban/warn without giving the other guy a chance to talk. You'd be surprised how much can change by just hearing another side to the story. It's good to take your time a really listen to everything both players in the sit are saying and then come to a fair conclusion leaving both guys with a chance. Another important role to a good functioning server is the staff team, actually being a team, having one another's backs, helping each other, and communication. Everyone plays this game to have fun but as staff their are certain times you should be professional and fair. Once you're apart of a staff team you represent that team just like anyone else on that team does. It's a team effort and once one person hurts their reputation, that hurts the staff teams reputation as a whole. It would be cool to see the staff team work with one another more, not argue so much and carry themselves with a level head. A huge thing for me is no clipping off duty. Yes at certain times it's okay to no clip off duty, but do it correctly. It's not cool to see players just fly through walls and yell at people and then fly away. It doesn't look good. Overall I hope to be apart of the team again and continue to help out like I always have. After having Rangers under me for these past couple of days, we all have seem a tremendous change in the faction and I hope that continues to become better. Thanks all for reading this and I hope to be back with you boys soon Have you ever been banned or punished on GG MRP? Nope Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: When I was T. 9. +1 Cloudy has been a big help in the 501st. He has shown that he can lead effectively with his position in the Tano Company. He works with new members and makes them feel welcome in the battalion. Cloudy would make a fine XO. "The Juicer" approves!

  10. DB raids 9/10 fucked with base factions, pissed off base factions and resulted in base factions being stuck in spawn for most of the raid. Base factions were used to raid in maybe 1/10 DB raids, if we're being generous, and usually as a way of rubbing in a War win. Also prior to their removal, they had become increasingly petty and toxic with some users breaking server rules just to 'get a feed'. On the rule breaking before someone says to just enforce, it would require Staff members to pull out of war for the final minutes and watch bases. This is gonna get denied unless someone has come up with a new and important argument

  11. Preface: If an application is accepted that does not mean you will receive the title of XO. Once an application has been accepted you will be moved onto an interview stage with Navy. Following the proper steps the new XO will be placed into a two week "probation period" where their rank will still be volatile. Requirements: Must be Staff Sergeant or higher within the battalion. Must have no previous offenses on the current iteration of the server. Must be Fifteen years of age or older. High daily activity. You may not be planning to leave 501st anytime soon. They may not have a secondary life or gain one while being XO. Note: If accepted the new XO will lose all affiliation to their current sub-battalion if they are in one. Additionally they will not be able to tryout or join one as an XO and will be required to be on the "executive officer" class at least eighty percent of the time. As a perk the XO will not have to write any more applications to progress to higher ranks, they will simply be promoted. 13. Description: We all know of the current issue that came with the new terms of no longer being able to just shoot a guy on your own team for disrupting your tryouts or breaking PTS one too many times, and while I believe such is needed to bring about a more RP-friendly experience within the server, I do in fact share the same frustration that many have and will have when attempting to arrest someone: they can MOVE. How can we fix such a dilemma, you ask? We can simply involve a staple tool used in almost any server that has rules and minges, a simple taser or stun baton that freezes a player for a few seconds! 14. In-game name: PT-228 EODT TACO SGT 2288 Salem Age:21 SteamID (https://steamid.io/): 76561198051959144 Warns: None. Timezone: MST. Playtime?: 58 Hours. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: [YES/NO] Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?:[YES/NO] Referral(s): [What administrator recommended you to apply?] Past experiences as a Game Master: [Optional] Why should we choose you over other applicants? [minimum 2 paragraphs] I believe I should be chosen over other applicants due to my want to give the player base a exciting RolePlay environment. I would communicate everyday to work with other GMs to come up with the best plans and ideas for events on the server. Yes as we know things don't always go to plans when it comes to events but I believe I would be able to come up with quick solution's for the RolePlay no matter which direction things take. I would do this by maintaining a a certain goal but also steering the players towards what needs to be done in a enjoyable way. If that means changing the event a bit to make things a little easier I believe i could do that in a easy transition. This in my opinion will lessen the chances of having slow times in the events waiting for things to be spawned or even set up. My activity on the server is I at least get on once per day but I tend to be on quite frequently during some down times. I would host mini events for the players that are on if that were out of base or even within. I would also talk with the players to find out what type of events they would like to see more passive wise in the base to build a broader world for the players so they feel more immersed. I know a good amount of Star Wars lore and I would like to implement that into the server, this meaning bringing lore characters in to have a more important role in some events as well as giving the players a chance to build character lore for themselves. I would do that by giving clones or even Navy situations that could change them as a whole in the game making things more in depth for them. I feel this would help give players more of a reason to stay and have a more enjoyable experience. In conclusion I feel that I would be a good addition to the team as I want to see the server grow and will do everything I can to give the players a immersive experience on StarWars Role Play. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? If so, Include details I have not that I recall. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: 15-20 hours a week. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: The responsibilities of a Gamemaster are too give the player base a enjoyable as well as memorable experience with constant events and RolePlay moments to really immerse them in the world so they can really feel included in whats going on around them in game. This is done by maintaining a lore friendly event while also giving the players a chance to do things within the battalions and certifications. They also need to listen to the feedback given to them by the other Gamemasters and players so they can improve there skills and ability's. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I would strive to give the players memorable RolePlay moments by hosting mini events that set the stage towards larger events so the players actually feel part of the story. This would include involving all the certs to work together and separately during these mini events. This gives players more experience to use in larger more important events. I am a big Star Wars lore fan and i want to implement some of those elements into the server to make it as immersive as possible. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation] 1. Tatooine (if we have the map): The Republic Navy is given information about the illegal selling of Republic blasters within Mos Eisley so the Navy sends in the Troopers to do some investigation around the city. The investigation would involve run ins with the Hutts, bounty hunters and mercenary across many locations. The troopers would split up into there respected battalions to search the area resulting with a group of Troopers being kid napped by the Hutts and being interrogated on why there is a mass of Republic soldiers within Mos Eisley. While this is going on another group comes across a illegal death stick supply and they are tasked with seizing the goods for them to be destroyed. When the Navy loses contact with the kid napped clones they will send the 91st to scout out the last known area of the Troopers asking civilians if they saw anything and would end up finding a troopers helmet down a alley with a communication device in it that allows them to communicate with the Hutts mercenary's which would result in a hostage negotiation to commence with the 104th when then 91st relays the information to Navy. when the meeting is set up the majority of the clones will be at the negotiation while 91st continues to search for the blasters and they would be found in the Hutts position guarded by bounty hunters. When the blasters are found the 91st will report back to Navy and they would decide on if they want to eliminate the Bounty hunters and possibly cause future issues with the Hutts are try and knock them out and take the weapons before the Hutts find out. The troopers would then return to Anaxes, then a message is sent to the Navy saying that the Hutts will remember this possibly opening up a larger storyline. 2. blackout: A seemingly normal day on Anaxes is turned for the worst when the CIS land and plant EMPS around the bases and comms tower resulting in a complete cut off of power and communications from all battalions. All the battalions will have to figure out the issues and fix them accordingly while also making contact with CIS forces with limited comms. This results in the leadership skills of the leaders of each battalion to really show during such a hectic time on Anaxes. 3. Droids: During debrief the Admiral tells the clones a shipment of droids are sent to Anaxes to be used in there respected section but within the cargo amongst the medical and engineer droids is two assassin droids programmed by the Hutts or the CIS that are tasked to take out our power and assassinate our Admiral the clones are tasked with turning on the power again but soon realize there's a Explosive hooked up to explode when power is returned to the base, with the clones busy searching the base and fixing disarming the bomb the Assassin droids sneak around maybe taking out a clone or two while they search for the Admiral but before they can they are spotted by a squad of troopers which will have to race to take out the droids before they get to the Admiral. 4.Theft in the base: Medical supply's go missing in the medbay resulting in the CG having to conduct a investigation amongst the medical staff and those who were recently getting examinations. This event can go any direction on how the CG takes the investigation but the result is that a a few Gamemasters pose as clones when they are really villiagers that are in need of the supply's but the leader refused to ask the Republic for help so some of the younger men decided to take it upon themselves to steal some supply's causing them to be questioned as clones it is up to CG to figure out who the imposters are. 5 Equipment fixing: This is passive Rp for the players but the clones are to take there equipment to the Armoury for inspection and possible fixing depending on rolls, this is to take place during downtime at night for those players who want something to do and just let the RP happen on its own, some weapons will be in need of cleaning some just need to be full on repaired depends on how its conducted.

SteamID: STEAM_0:0:61059175 How many hours per week do you have to commit to this role? 20+ hours a week Previous Leadership Experience: [2 Paragraphs Minimum] Starting off with IRL experience, I am a General Manager at a restaurant. I basically do everything from making sushi in the back when needed to making schedules and running the store. I started as a hostess and gradually moved my way up. I also assist in managing other locations. I've developed great relationships with kitchen and front staff. I've also learned how the restaurant industry works and operates, and the ins and outs of managing people and supplies/material. In addition, I'm also the Vice President currently for my local DECA chapter. For anybody who does not know what DECA is, it's basically a nationally recognized organization that specializes in educating and teaching students about the world of business, management, and finance. I've developed my people skills as the VP with an organization of that scale and have allowed myself to develop connections with the most well-regarded businessmen/woman in the country. I was also previously an administrative intern for a co-working space that specializes in leasing/renting out office spaces of any scale in like a work community kind of environment (Similar concept to WeWork). From that experience, I was able to again, grow my network, and in addition learn how to communicate professionally with others and handle basic things such as customer service (I don't talk like I'm from O-block outside of Garry's Mod). Finally, I believe my last relevant piece of leadership that I have is that I was the lead marketing analyst for a start-up app company that was a similar concept to UberEats and DoorDash. Although I didn't really develop anything new people-skill wise, I was able to learn how to work and research professionally at a high level. I also was able to sit down and talk with executives on a daily basis and really learn how tech companies operate and function. It was a great learning experience for me profesionally. As far as staffing in video games go, I will start in 2016 when I joined Garnet. I finished at Moderator. Really nothing too special, just learned the fundamentals of staffing on Garry's Mod and the conflict solving skills that are needed to really perform. After that, I moved onto Synergy Roleplay where I took on the role of an Admin on the StarWarsRP server. Synergy Roleplay is a more serious serious type of roleplay server. From that, I had to enforce rules much harder and develop judgement skills. Soon after, I became a part of Synergy's Military RP staff team. I quickly climbed up to Senior Admin and was about to become a Manager before departing to focus on my life. Some things I learned were, managing new staff members and training them, setting up battalions, and generally overall just being an example and leader for the rest. Other than that, I've been an SA/Manager for many other small servers that did not make it that long. Again, I was just able to develop my leadership and management skills more. In regards to roleplay leadership experience, I have plenty. To start, I was the Captain for Delta Force back in 2016 under MoneyGeez. This was the first I ever held a leadership position and was able to learn a lot about my leadership abilities. After that, I became Warrant Officer for SAS in a matter of days. This was because at the time, I was the best sniper on the server and Burton tried to ban me so SAS offered me a spot in order to shift the tide between US vs SAS vs Tali. During my time in SAS, I had the primary role of managing the elite Ghost faction and also managing general player personnel. After that, Taliban offered me a spot in their faction to turn the tide in wars so I took on a Captain spot. During this time, Taliban did manage to somewhat bounce back in wars. I continued to develop my communication and leadership Shortly after, I became the 1st Lieutenant for MARSOC under Phantom. Although I was on for a limited amount of time during the week during my tenure, I was still able to get a lot done and still found a way to lead the marines along with my other officers. Simultaneously, I was also a Warrant Officer for the Army, again, developed my leadership and player management skills. After my run in Garnet, I decided to move to Synergy and pursue more positions over there. My first position at Synergy was being the Shadow Company Commander. I learned how to develop docs, manage docs, manage personnel, and learned how to lead in character. This was definitely one of my more demanding positions that I've taken on and I learned so much from it. I also took on the role of Jedi General Kit Fisto during this time and was able to learn alot. I was the best sparer on the server and was given the task of teaching others how to spar. After my tenure in Shadow Company ended, I joined the Null-Class ARCs and was basically in charge of giving orders to all the other clones and doing my own thing. If there's anything I learned from being Null is that sometimes, it is okay to be an asshole as a leader as long as you are respectable and people trust you. After my run on Synergy's StarWarsRP I moved to their newly developed MilitaryRP. I took on the role of MARSOC Lieutenant Colonel and again applied the skills I already had and continued developing as well. Why should you be chosen for this position over other applicants? [2 Paragraphs Minimum] First of all, I clearly have the experience over other applicants in regard to IRL and video game leadership as well. If anything, you cannot beat experience. I've been in environments that range from corporate/executive to high positions in roleplay and staff. I obviously understand what it takes to be a leader, the skills it requires, and the time/effort/consistency that is needed. I've also learned a lot about not burning myself out and making my tenures short like I have done in the past. I believe overall, this can provide me the consistency in activity and work that such a position like this requires which is something I have over all the other applicants applying. I believe I've become a good leader overall with all the experience I've accumulated and all the time I've spent pursuing them. I know the ins and outs of running a battalion the size of 501st and would take the task on easily. Secondly, I have a hard-working personality in comparison to other applicants. I currently work a part-time job while also maintaining a 4.0 GPA and being top of my class, a management position, and 2 internships. Obviously, being able to juggle all of those things is not easy, and does require a lot of hardwork and dedication. That's something I always provide when I take on any leadership role and you should expect nothing less of me. I'm expert certified in excel (applies to google sheets as well) and know how to manipulate and use a document to it's fullest potential as well. As a hard-working dedicated leader, mentoring and teaching is something I take pride in and not many applicants can say the same. Being an XO in the 501st legion requires having the ability to do so and that is something that not many people are willing to do/provide. What is your biggest strength and biggest weakness? [2 Paragraphs Minimum] My biggest strength overall is being able to adapt to any situation I'm put in. With working as many positions as I have, you learn to adapt and develop the ability to learn fast so that you're always 4 steps ahead and never 2 steps behind. I think that's something I'm really good at is making sure I'm always ahead of any situation or that I'll be prepared in the event of an emergency or unforseen circumstances hit me. I believe that's super important when taking a role such as XO, which is being able to change the way you lead or manage based on the environment or changes you're put through. I've been able to hone this strength of mine over the course of many years and it's honestly one of the things I value the most out of all my strengths. In regards to my weakness, I think my biggest one is being super susceptible to burnout when I do put my everything into something. I know a lot of people in this community flame me for it, and I understand why. For me, it's like I love putting my everything into an endeavor that I really enjoy but as soon as I've achieved what I've wanted to achieve, I instantly lose the motivation to continue or prolong what I've achieved. It's a really bad habit of mine, and something I'm trying to fix. I'm guilty of doing this on the last iteration of StarWarsRP for Garnet. I promise, I'm working on it. Recall a time you've failed as a leader, what went wrong, what could have gone better, how did it help you grow? [2 Paragraphs Minimum] The one time I've failed as a leader was one night, the restaurant was extremely busy and we were heavily understaffed. I was tasked with having to be able to manage the night with a full house and no staff. It was definitely rough and I failed badly. Part of the mistake was not scheduling enough people that day as well as not having anyone to work. There were patrons who had to wait many many minutes for service and with that came many negative reviews and a lot of backlash online. The kitchen was extremely overrun and I had absolutely no clue what to do or how to fix what happened that night. Although it was a disaster of a night, I still did learn a lot from it was and able to become a better manager as a whole from it. Some things I learned were to make people wait if I don't have the capability of serving a full house. I also thought we would be fine because I was there and that I would be able to pick up and do anything that wasn't being done by the others and I was badly wrong. I can't do everything myself and I need others around me to fulfill the millions of tasks that are needed in operating a fully functional busy restaurant. Something else I also learned was that people are valuable and you need people around you in order to be successful. I did take a lot of criticism that night, and it did hurt my ego significantly. I was definitely humbled and realized that customers are the people that I need to bow my head down to and really give them my all. I did learn how to take criticism with the approach of using it to be better as opposed to taking it as an insult. Do you understand that you may be removed from your position should you fail to uphold the standards and requirements of this role? Yes What is Kanye West's best song? Believe What I Say

  23. Qualified for the position, he has shown his capability of leading as CO of Tano Company. A very cool dude that can be professional when needed. I personally wouldn't mind him as XO of 501st, although he can choose being GM over 501st at times, but that is most likely due to him being a fresh GM and wanting to learn the ropes to make good events for the server. +1

  30. -1 CanadianTyrant brings up great points so I'm not going to repeat them but I'm going to add an interaction I have had with you in the past. Before you hit the rank of officer you where actively trying to join DF. Once you were close to becoming a warrant officer you approached me and told me you would join DF down the line after you hit officers so you can keep your position of power. This statement has always rub me the wrong way along with other DF members. You are power hungry and only want more power. I have doubts you would be mature enough to not abuse your powers. So for those reasons I am -1 your app.

  34. I did the exact same thing - although I just did a funny and disappeared without letting anyone know - main reason I'm not trying to make a great comeback. To cut the bullshittery, Dennis makes a fair point. You were given a second term as staff member and didn't do much with it. Maybe with your appointment to COL you have more motivation etc. for now, but how long will it last? What would be different now from then? I am not hating on you, you're absolutely amazing and you deserve a shot on the staff team again but people will possibly hold this against you (people that are higher up there). Putting that minor hickup aside, I would love to see Rust on the staff team again and make a difference on the server as much as a single individual possibly can. You're active, great to be around and you're showing newer players how good this server can be besides the toxicity that the PvP aspect brings with it from time to time. +1

  35. I have bee thinking about something like this for awhile now as I did enjoy the old DB raids of the past but also saw some of the reasons why they were stopped by the change in rules. Personally on this subject I feel that a decrease in the wait time to do the raid would be a fair change allowing for people to be able to finish the main DB before the time is up but still allow for separate DB raid opportunities. I feel that a 5 minute time that you have to wait to raid after war and 5 minutes before war is a fair amount of time allowing for the main DB to be completed but also gives an opportunity for there to be some danger and would have SOC who dismissed already keep an eye out for potential raiders. This method would also allow for more base faction involvement in a separate DB raid as in that 5 minute time frame you can easily herd Tali or 11B over to the enemy base to create more base involvement in raids. Base faction raids can be some of the most fun when you get everyone involved and play some music as you frontally assault the enemy base and get a nice feed from the enemy debrief. Though it is true that DB raids can simply be used as a way to toxic after a war is over taking that toxicity out in a raid is a lot better then the alternatives that usually break out with ooc disputes and arguments in TS. Raids allow players to have a bit of fun and get some revenge on a war they just lost or simply just take the enlisted of the base faction to go and do something fun after war to keep them staying engaged and willing to sit through DB after having a shitty experience in war. As a base faction man for many years I didn't always enjoy the nades in our debriefs we found ways to roll with them and also to prevent them, it allowed us to create little upper enlisted recon teams who would go on raid watch when it was suspected we would get raided and made them feel important and keep them engaged rather then tabbing out on a DB cause they ain't getting promoted. My suggestion ain't perfect but I do feel that it is the best middle ground from what I have talked with other players about and would be the most fun and helpful for the current MPR community.

Thats why im going to give this a Neutral. My only suggestion 1. Try to be more active in discord / TS. I say this because its best to speak with other members of the community and learning from them, increasing your reputation overall.

  46. In-game name: P-117 CBM SFC 1136 Shade Age: 26 SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:98542905 Warns: N/A Timezone: PST Playtime?: | P-117 CBM SFC 1136 Shade has played for 100:48:45. About 80 of those hours are post-reboot. Do you have access to TeamSpeak and a microphone?: Yes Do you have the ability to record Garry's Mod videos?: Yes Referral(s): Tdizz Past experiences as a Game Master: No formal experience with a GM Rank. As a Manager/SA on MRP, I periodically held IC & OOC events. Why should we choose you over other applicants? The biggest edges I have over other applicants are my ability to adapt and willingness to improve myself. It's no secret that shit doesn't always go as planned when free will exists. Players may make mistakes, fail rolls, or I fail to properly set up an aspect of the event. I have the composure and just general aptitude to be able to roll with the punches and keep the event running smoothly. I've proven throughout my time here on Garnet that I'm more than capable of absorbing setbacks and bouncing back to contribute in a positive manner. Another way of looking at adaptability is how versatile I can be in creating RP. I can work with superadmins and I can work with the CT with 12 minutes of playtime. I can create a fleshed out, multi-planet campaign and I can create janitor RP. I’m able to read the room and see what sort of event works best given the circumstances. A skill that I believe also sets me apart from my peers. The second point, the desire to improve myself. I've never been one to shut out or silence criticism. I openly encouraged people to criticize, disagree (if they mean it of course), and to embrace discussion. I feel it's a way that people, especially myself, grow. I will strive to take the feedback from my peers and colleagues and allow it to better me as a GM instead of taking it as some personal attack. Have you ever been banned or punished on any server? Banned for cheating in March of 2019 on MRP. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: Roughly 1 - 3 hours a day on weekdays. In your own words, what are the responsibilities of a Gamemaster?: I feel the only answer is "content creator". Our job is to create content for the player base. We need to be the catalyst for roleplay and action that will help retain the players we do have and attract the new players who join. Describe how you would contribute to RP as a part of the Gamemaster team: I'd bring creative, constant ideas and events to the team. I'm on early (for PST folks, mid-morning for EST folks) and can help jumpstart pop early in the morning, which will result in a higher peak. Explain your single most creative idea for contributing to the RP environment of the server: To whomever is dealing or involved with the application, PM me on discord or the forums. I have an entire doc for you that I'd prefer to keep secret. Please list and explain 5 unique event ideas of any scale: [Be sure to include any additional context that may be necessary to your explanation] #1: “Outer Banks” (rp_vanqor_sbs) Naval received a mayday call from a Venator out in the Outer Rim. The signal was scratchy at best but they could make out that the Venator claimed to have been shot down. A Venator going down is a monumental loss to the Republic and an immediate cause for alarm. Not many things can take one down. The Admiral will immediately order the forces to LAAT’s and leave for Planet Vanqor. Once the FOB has been settled near the crash, engineers will be tasked with examining the ships navigation deck and determining the cause of the crash. While half work on the ship evaluation, the other half of the engineers will work on getting a landing pad and the Republic ships ready. Medics will attempt to find survivors and gather corpses from the wreckage. EODs will be evaluating the crash to make sure no secondary explosions or other dangers could occur. While this is going on, a massive explosion will strike the planet and a plethora of Tri-fighters and vultures descend upon the planet. Pilot squadron and certified pilots are ordered to drop everything and man their ships and fill their gunner slots. This is the bulk of the combat for this event. A long drawn out dogfight. After some scrambling, Engineers will be able to scrap together some AA guns after some appropriate rolls. After the fight is over. Engineers will return to reviewing the downed Venator to find the real cause of the crash. #2: “Stockpile” (rp_noclyria_crimson) CIS insurgents have taken over the military outpost and have been exploiting slave labor to stockpile weapons and supplies. A debrief will be hosted. 501st/212th will be the main infantry units storming the compound. Behind them will be 104th, while 327th begin to set a perimeter on the inside of the compound whilst 41st/91st set up on the outside. 501st will set up a medical room after the building has been cleared and conduct some MedRP whilst GM’s begin the second stage of the event. Before the compound was cleared, the on-scene CIS Commander was able to get out an SOS. Reinforcements are rapidly on the way, and they are bringing quite the arsenal to get this pivotal stronghold back. GMs will spawn a C-9979 (or whichever passes best as a CIS transport vessel). From that ship, tanks, aircraft, and drop pods will be spawned aplenty. This one will be VERY HIGH intensity and all troopers/navy/jedi’s will only have one life. They need to act tactically and work cohesively in order to hold the base. #3: “Contagion” Either the 91st or 41st Battalion will be sent on a general scouting mission. As they near Outpost Zeta, there will be a massive explosion inside the outpost. They will report the explosion and be ordered to investigate and evaluate the damage. Inside the main building of the outposts, they will find numerous corpses. Some charred, some in what look like hazmat suits, and some turned to ash. The battalion on scene will gather evidence on the chemicals at the lab, recover all the bodies, and RTB with the help of 19thAW. On the way to base, the recovering battalion will start to experience symptoms. The symptoms are TBD and for good reason. This virus is going to be mutating every 5 minutes upon arrival to the medbay. The better the rolls, the more obvious the symptoms will be and Medics can cure the diseases before the virus mutates once more. #4: The Defector A high pay-grade Naval officer has defected to the Separatists after Dooku gave him quite an offer of money and power. After receiving the news, the Admiral immediately calls an emergency debrief. The information the defector has could be crippling to the Republic. All available forces outside of CG will be ordered to immediately begin investigating his possible whereabouts. Battalions will be sent to Village, Aurek, Zeta, and Radio Tower. Upon arriving at RT, the troopers there will receive a transmission… from an unlikely source. Cad Bane has heard of our unfortunate predicament and is willing to sell information to us. For such a “betrayal” to the CIS, he demands 5 million republic credit. 2.5 now and 2.5 after the defector is dealt with. The defector has been transported to Geonosis and will be meeting with the top brass of the Separatists 2 days. Bane gives the coordinates for the base on Geonosis. The Admiral holds a debrief to prep for departure. Upon arriving on Geonosis, there will be some OOC organization so no one runs off. Once the battalions are organized, a quick briefing will take place. As usual 212th/501st run point with 41st/91st scouts taking inventory of any hostiles. 104th Controllers will join the scouts after they’ve been told it's clear to move. The other 104th and all of 327th will cover 212th/501st’s rear. Once the compound is located. Any available snipers will be asked to get into position and fire on one singular mark in order to maximize shock and awe. Once the raid begins, units will tactically storm the compound and search for the Defector. In the innermost part of the compound he’ll be waiting, cyanide pill in hand. The attackers may be tempted to just let him croak… until he reveals that he has info regarding CIS movements. If he reveals that info, the Separatists will surely attack and kill his family. Troopers will have to persuade the Defector to put down the pill and share the CIS info. #5: Gold Rush The Galaxy’s 32nd richest man has passed away with no next-of-kin. With his dying breath, he gave 7 riddles to detail the locations of 7 fortunes he’s scattered across the Galaxy. One such riddle begins here on Anaxes. The clue states: ###########. The Republic has an idea of where to start, but that means so do the Separatists. Players will have to work together to decipher clues, and fight off the CIS army as they work their way to the final clue. Where what lies might not be what they expected.
