  1. Well... My time has come. This is gonna be a long one so I'll throw the TL:DR here at the top. I just had one of the best weeks of my life. I was on vacation with my girlfriend and her family near and in Lake Tahoe. We spent the week swimming, riding horses, learning archery, skeet shooting, paddle boarding, fishing, drinking, gambling, golfing, hiking, and just about every other outdoor activity you can think of. We were having an absolute blast. She got the call that she was finally being hired on as a full-time teacher in a class room instead of online, her cousin got engaged yesterday in Santa Monica, and my brother is moving out. All around me people were continuing to move forward in life. I however, had grown complacent. I worked my ass off, and caught some fortune along the way, up to where I am now but then plateau'd. This week was a wake up call. The edge I had on my peers was slowly dwindling. I was wasting months of my life being comfortable. So I had to make a choice. I had to take action. This isn't just a resignation from GG, but from video games in general. It won't be cold turkey but I'll likely reserve playing to just a few hours a week now. It doesn't feel good nor right to leave MRP in the volatile state that it's currently in. However I feel like I need and have earned the right to be selfish in this decision. I'm going to name drop a laundry list of people who have made an impact on my time here. Know that even if I didn't name you, it's ALL of you that make the GG community what it is. Thank you for giving me countless memories over the years. I've made friends and have stories that I'll likely never forget. I'm going to try and do this is chronological order: @Dempsey - You drunk retard lol. When I came back to the server and became a full fledged Garnet Gamer (kill me), you were the one to train me. We rose up through the ranks of 2GA together, with you always being a couple ranks ahead. There was never a dull moment with you around and you were actually a solid 2GA officer. Thank you for being the spark to Jackal's infamous speech on CSCD in 2019. @Garret - For those of you who don't know, this is Flame. Flame, thank you for the memories of being in 2GA, however brief that was. You were criticized for being too weak of a leader and not being willing to bring the hammer down. Being the leader of a base faction is probably the toughest role on the server, and as far as O-11's go, you were on the better side of average. As a person, you were as genuine as they come, and never were one to attack someone's character. @Ethan - The most underrated player/leader to ever play GG in my experience. I learned so much from you not only as a leader, but as a staff member. Your influence spreads far more than you know, and likely more than most would care to give you credit for. I always respected how you had a vision for your factions and critics be damned. That being said, you were open to criticism and could hold a productive conversation like an adult. Being in TS with you during joint ops with SSO/PDSS was fucking hilarious and showed a different side of you not many were lucky enough to see. If it weren't for some dumb ass target in Taiga Forest's KH glitching and getting me stuck, I would've joined your SSO and had a whole different path. I was pissed but as we found out, it worked out all right. Hope you're killin it Gresh. /me salutes @Krim1 - Oh man. The memories. I know for a fact you were one, and I think Crypt was the other. I had never really talked to any of you but I guess I made a big enough impression to warrant some PM's. I had just failed SSO tryouts and was doing some RFR work after war when I reported someone for NITRP.... A NITRP report taken by Ethan... For anyone who doesn't know, reports taken by Ethan were notoriously long, let alone a fucking NITRP report. The advert went out that PDSS were hosting tryouts and I was interested in joining but was kind've confused by their tryouts because I had "failed" name change in the tryout that Skye had passed. Krimzin and Crypt were pming me to get my ass to PDSS tryouts. I said some joke about being in a sit with Ethan so I'll see em next peace time. They found it amusing enough the not close the tryouts until I could attend. The rest is history. Back to you though. A mute who when he made a sound in TS, we'd go wild. You were always someone who would look to make people laugh and have a good time. That PDSS is still by far the most fun I've had on the server. I know there was a little falling out when I warned you for RDM. I regret that warn but we were always able to go back to being friends. I don't know when, but I believe you will be unbanned eventually and have a positive impact upon returning. Good luck becoming a doctor or gas station franchisee @Inca - Loooong history. Same faction multiple times, malding over your headglitching multiple times, but always having that respect for your play and influence. Pretty sure you were the other person PMing me during my sit with Ethan. I guess I owe you both thanks for putting me on Jessy's radar because that faction and time period is still the time I hold most dear. I always respected how you weren't afraid to speak your mind (besides every making a single forum post lol) even if it went against the status quo or popular option. With that, you and I had more than a few legitimate discussions that proved fruitful for either factions or the entire server. Like Ethan, people that can engage in actual discussion instead of hide in TS, forum reactions, etc are extremely valuable in maintaining and improving a server. I wish you the best and hope to hear you talk whenever I pop into TS every now and then. @Skye - The Transformer. The Hormonal. Jessy's Kink. A girl of many names. Getting to know and be in PDSS with you was a lot of fun. We had no shortage of leaders and positive influences in there, you included. I still remember when you and Jessy taught me how to dolphin dive and surf with noclip the day I got staff. You were a bit LOA heavy when I was still playing then but when you were around, you were a part of the family. Hope you got your degree and stopped smoking 4 packs a day. @Panini - I'd like to recall the positive memories, but all I can write is that I hope you ended up in a cell and got the mental help that you desperately need. @Turtle - Hope you're doing well. I know your "friends" liked to take advantage of you, which always pissed me off. I feel like you were a genuine person but were just following along to try and hold onto relationships. I really do hope you're doing well. @Apollo - Red Crow. Weeb. Simp. You were a semi-mute back then. Later you started talking and good god were you a spaz lmao. If you crushed up Adderall and gave it to a puppy, it's energy level would still be below yours. Always fun to be around and to be in Discord/TS with. Your energy was infectious and the shit shows on the server usually started with you. We massed each other probably 57 times over but that wasn't such a crime back then at 2:00 am. Hope you're doing well and got yourself the submissive Korean girlfriend you wanted. @Mute - For the longest time, you were the only person I had ever removed from any of my factions. It wasn't even out of bad blood, moreso that you just gelled better with the faction you were sitting on reserves with. Was fun having you around. @Normal Hooman - My right hand man back in PDSS. Was a blast being in Frogmen with you, leading Frogmen with you, and getting carried in CS by you. Someone I trusted from the start, especially because you were someone who wasn't afraid to speak their mind or go against the grain. I'll never forget T-Posing on Ghillie during war at TC with you, Riskii, and Fred. Being able to hold an OBJ while memeing was hilarious. Hope the military is treating you well and I'm going to steal your dog. @Fredarmpit - We've known each other for about 5 years now. You come and go but whenever you come back, it's like you never left. Might want to double check and make sure you cancelled all your subscriptions LMAO. @Tora1 - Tranny, Tora Dmitri, Dzhia, but to me, Jessy. A day 1 homie and someone I can trust with anything. I became your friend by memeing that it was your birthday when it wasn't even close and now here we are lol. We've been in the same faction, led opposing factions, been staff together, gotten drunk on League together, and played just about every popular game that's come out in the last 3 years together. You gave me a shot back in 2018 and I like to think that was what opened me up to how great this community can be. Your Frogmen was the pinnacle of what a faction can be in my opinion. You were a role model in how you played (RU Riot Meta), how you lead, and how you staffed. Knowing when to have a good time and when to be serious was always on of your strengths. You can noclip into Company HQ for a flashbang but just don't throw it where someone will cry ;). The aspect of "family" is something I had always chased but could never manage to replicate. Still bummed Jasmin never killed you enough times to finish your post. I know you and I will stay in touch but keep creating something special with Vega my guy. @Fupert1 - I think you're technically the one who handed off PDSS to me and I'm forever grateful for that. It was my first of many experiences in faction leadership and gave me a chance to show what I had. Like Ethan, you served as a role model for me and I turned to you for advice on some decisions back in 2018/19. Another mute who finally started talking after a couple of years. It was great to play with you, and get to know you. @Kroms @Amanda Strike @Charlie - You 3 were around for so many hilarious moments. On the server, playing the hot game at the time, or just being idiots in Discord. Thank you to all 3 of you. I'm glad I was able to meet you three and laugh my ass off time after time. G*v* m* V*c*o*i*'s IG handle thanks. @Kirb - Man disappeared off the face of the earth out of nowhere. For when you were around however, it was a damn good time. You, Turtle, and I probably spent 4 hours finding Matador snipes on Taiga Forest, which is one of my favorite memories from the map. I hope you and your girl are doing well. @Riskii - The Samurai. The Indonesian Prince. I'm happy you took time off from being literal royalty to play the server and be the first person I had join my PDSS. You and Hooman already had a connection from SSO but you were new to me. Even with that, you and I immediately became friends and you helped establish many of the practices that my PDSS, and many factions still today, utilize. If you ever become King, all I want is an all expense paid vacation to Indonesia! @Wingard @Koulit @Bleach - You knuckleheads were the next group of people brought into my PDSS. All as projects that we would work on and hopefully mold into good players as well as role models. Having you 3 all join at relatively the same time provided some healthy competition. Despite RU Commando : Trisome 21 being a strong contender for you Koulit, eventually you and Wingard became Ying and Yang. Two peas of a similar pod who were a blast to have in the faction. Never a dull moment with any of you and it was a pleasure having you around. Crazy to think that all 3 of you eventually became Captain, something I do take pride in. However Bleach turned the ironic racism into some unironic racism, tainting the faction a bit @Towelie - One of the many vets who returned when CS Desert returned for the Valentine's Event*. One of the many vets who I had the pleasure of getting to know and lead upon them returning. You had some history with a few of the members already but it was the first time you and I had interacted. Immediately I knew you were someone who would be great for PDSS. A great head on your shoulders and productive in war. Sort of the class clown once you got in and you were loved for it. I obviously regret the way I left but for you specifically. I felt as though I betrayed your trust more than most and for that, I am deeply sorry. @Duel - Pretty sure you're banned off here because of some enthusiastic rants awhile back but oh well. Another veteran I had the pleasure of meeting and leading. You were at least a name I had heard and knew before desert came back. I was definitely surprised when I heard you were interested in joining but definitely thrilled. Another wise, well-spoken player who I tried to learn from. Some people claim that you were a soap-box speaker who really didn't progress but I disagree. You always put thought and substance into your comments, something that many people misinterpreted as "fluff". It was great being around you and thanks for turning me onto Planetside 2 for a bit. That was fun. @Blade - The quieter, only in the literal sense, half of the Blade/Duel duo. Again, I was surprised to hear that you were interested in joining PDSS but I was stoked to have you. The wealth of knowledge and ideas that you both brought to the table was something any leader should be happy to have. Hope you're doing well! @{GG} CJ - My boy. My thick-legged, piss beer drinking, ass-tier golfer boy. I was thrilled when I finally convinced you to come over to RU. Serenading each other in Comms in the middle of war is undoubtedly one of my favorite memories from MRP. You're a true homie and I hope your stream starts to pop off. I'll hop in from time to time. Just remember that "It's Modelo Time!" & "It's Spicyyyyy" @{GG}otham - Ginger headass. You're someone who I respected throughout my time on GG. You led a combo faction very very well and did so with style. Being able to handle the ego's of SOC whilst tending to the needs of base players is a delicate balance and you handled it fantastically. @Strange6688846993 - Dumbass @Jackal - Pretty sure you're unbanned on the forums now. I know we butted heads at times, and then worked together at times. I believe you genuinely had the best interest of the server most of the time, people were just critical of your methods. Hope college treats you well. @Phantom - Same thing as Jackal really. Had our differences but we worked together when the situation called for it. Hope you find a job you're looking for after school. @Trip - L. But as far as you as a person, I've heard you've been going through a certain type of hell. I wouldn't wish that on anyone and I was happy to hear that you are over the hump. @skrt@GreatGuyHugh@Shibe@.lua@drax - Didn't really play with any of you except skrt before REDACTED GAMING. You guys were a part of some pretty fun times on Police RP. Dicking around as a group of Japanese street racers was hilarious. Fell out of touch with most of you guys but I hope you're all doing well. @eXg-Buddha - You're an odd one for sure. How I saw you changed day by day. Chill, awkward, aggressive, passive, etc. Regardless, there were plenty of fun times on GMod, Roblox, and everything else. Thank you for those positive memories and I wish you the best. @Mitsuri1 - We were tight and then you started going off the rails a bit. You got hella moody and aggressive out of nowhere. There were still plenty of good times with you, and for that, thank you. @JoeBudden - Onto the newish guys. Coming back to the server, there were few old faces and a lot of new ones. I had heard mixed reviews about the group as a whole but heard that you were chill. When I finally got around to talking to you, I quickly found what the others did. You're an easy going guy who's just looking to vibe and have a good time. You're hella easy to talk to and get along with. #OneOfTheGoodOnes @Dtedey1 - Another homie who I became friends with after coming back to the server. The guys who's mic somehow peaks when he whispers. You welcomed me back into PDSS when I returned, helping me reacquaint myself with the meta and play style. Once Joe had resigned from SSO COL, you were the only faction leader I could see myself enjoying my time under. Guess that's why once you left, I had no issue going to Marines to help Jackal and Tayler. Was happy to see that you are making a return to the server but unfortunately I'm outta here soon. @Porche - Ah man. I think you're whole scenario with Petal was overblown. Especially considering there was a 1, 2 year max difference in your ages and I'd bet that 75% of player's parents have an age gap larger well larger than that. You're a good kid with a heart of gold, you just let the bottle control you for awhile. We've reconnected a couple times just to chat and it sounds like you're doing much better. I believe you're a genuine person and hope to see you succeed. @Kendal - You were a follower when I met you. You took advice and information from people as scripture and blindly heeded their advice, worried about reputation and ramifications. I was happy to see that changed once you returned to the server after resigning from Manager. We've butted heads sure, but so has damn near everyone on this list and myself. You used to resort to griping in TS but eventually we were able to have conversations about our disagreements and were better off for it. I hope your job is going well and I have a feeling you'll succeed in life. @Viva - It was a blast being in your Vega and passing the tryouts was a nice milestone in my time on MRP. It was unfortunate that around the time I joined, you or V were involved in some negative events. Despite that, it was fun as hell being a part of that elite unit and probably the most sweaty TS channel I've ever been in. Hope HOI is treating you well. @Gamma - Still doesn't feel real... You never think it will hit close to home until it does. When I came back in 2018, it was on the tail end of CHIEF. A group that I was welcomed into with open arms thanks to you and Jessy. You and I didn't have the history that all of the other members had. Not even close. But you treated me with the same friendliness and respect as if we did. Even if you didn't have a mic and were slightly restricted into the SSO bubble, you and I formed a relationship that helped me become glued to the server and the community. Fast forward to me being in SSO and genuinely trying to grind for Vega. You and Dtedey humored my requests for trainings and tips/hints. You're a large part of why my movement and positioning have allowed me to be successful, even with these old-man eyes and reaction time. You're someone who poured everything he had into the things he cared about, as evident by your work on MRP, SWRP, and the relationships you built. You will never be forgotten Gamma. May you rest in peace. @retired - Idiot. You were thrown under a massive bus during the whole Panini incident. Clearly you were not condoning the behavior but rather showing no empathy by saying it should be handled privately instead of publicly. I hope you still don't lie about how much you lift because the numbers are so irrelevant. @broken - We knew each other before Vega but never talked really. Getting to know you and be in a faction with you was hella fun. You're a solid leader who's capable of taking criticism (a rare breed these days). As a person, you're chill af and it's always a good time with you around. Try not to die in some random ass war in the Middle East. @Coyotee - I know we fell off at the end but while we were in Vega and vibing in that discord it was fun af. You're a chill dude who definitely knows how to have a good time. I regret how I left Vega but not the fact that I did. Hope you're doing well. @Flak - Another chill dude who I vibed with in V and that discord. Again, bummed how we fell out but shit happens. Hope you're doing well. @Dexx - I dont even know bro. Like you were nice and definitely appeared to have good intentions for the server. Obviously the ideas weren't always the best or practical but you meant well. At least that's what I thought but I'm not sure anymore. Regardless, hope and your family are doing well. @Tayler - You were a huge role model on the server. Not just for me but for a large portion of the server. Even if they weren't directly influenced by you, they drew inspiration from people who you taught or learned from you. A great leader, player, and friend to the server. Whenever you do return, you always provide relevant commentary and make the server a better place. I was shocked and saddened to hear that you were experiencing your own period of depression recently. I hope you're on the better side of that mountain and are looking forward to the next chapter of your life. @shrimp - Getting to know you and bounce ideas of you was very influential on how I saw the server. You were a supporter of me being unbanned on the forums and in becoming staff. I firmly believe your support got me where I got to. Sometimes you were aggressive in pushing you ideas but I can always respect someone who chases their vision with conviction (see my comments to Ethan). Your creativity in Suggestions and large scale updates is unrivaled, despite the fact that few came to fruition. Even if people don't want to credit you, you were the inspiration for many of the updates that came after your departure. I hope you're doing well and doorways are tall enough. @AwesomeAidan0221 @D_Rose @JimTrash - You three are being grouped cause well... You three left the server in shambles for Gythem, Homast, and I to try and fix. Aidan, you were and are chill but I feel like the role just wasn't for you. I heard great things about your GB and the culture that you instilled. You're one of the few cooks here on GG that I would likely lose a cook-off to. D Rose, still kind of baffled how you reached Manager. You were chill af and obviously a friend to many, a quality I feel got you to that position. Inefficient as a Manager and a faction leader but an incredibly nice person and friend. Was sorry to hear you got injured in football and I wish you the best moving forward. Remember, when in doubt, cut block. Jim, I think I'm one of maybe 2 people who know why you actually left. I hope you're doing better mentally now. You were a genuine guy and knew how to have fun. That being said, I think you were a bit pushy with your agenda and made some mistakes that ultimately drove away some players who would've been nice to keep. @Gythem - Our relationship was odd for sure. I wasn't ever trying to get you removed, demoted, etc. At the time, I felt you weren't ready nor was the promotion deserved. You had good ideas, regurgitated or not, but never decided to pursue them actively. You said that I basically choked out your ideas, but that's simply not true. I never attempted to snuff out your ideas or try to push my own agenda over yours. That all being said, you are a good kid and a pleasure to be around when you are. You have a bright future ahead of you with swimming and school. I wish you the best of luck @Homast - You and I got along, which is better than I can say for most. When you were around after the 3 Headed Manager fell, you weren't all that productive but you were never a bad person. You were genuine, something that is unfortunately rare among the community and in life. Maybe trim that 2 TB "Homework" folder yeah? @Landon - Chiseled jaw headass. Basically Hooman v2 for me. My 2IC for the longest time in Rangers who I trusted and ran with in war. Those couple months with us in Rangers were some of the best months of my second run with the server. We'd mob in war, peacetime, other games, TS, and Discord. You were an absolute fucking menace in war and I was always stoked when I could get you in my faction. We fell out of touch since your resignation which is something I regret. I hope you're doing well. @Rust - You failed tryouts hard. Like hard hard. But to expect you to outsnipe either Landon or I with old sniper mechanics was a lofty goal for the times. I think we literally stayed on top of Cons on Chaharikar for about 20 minutes working on sniper drills. I took a chance on you and boy did it pay off. You became a fantastic player, staff member, and role model. Low and behold, you drop the fact that you're a girl after about 6 weeks in the faction. You were afraid that being a girl would result in you being treated different, for better or worse. That never seemed to be an issue for you, as you thrived as a staff member and officer/leader. You were an absolute pleasure to have around and I hope you and your family are finding your roots after the move. @Inferior - Don't know if this is your account or not but fuck it. You were the 2nd "new player" to be picked up in my Rangers. You had your ups and downs in terms of maturity, never really being able to find that balance of fucking around and being serious. That being said, it never wandered into the egregious area of you fucking around too much. You were average in an era where there was little to no talent going around so we picked you up to train you. You were receptive to our advice and willing to work to get better. You made HUGE strides in your skill from when you entered Rangers to when you left. Able to snipe effectively and hold your own CQC with just about anyone. After resigning, you never really came back to us which was sad. I hope you're doing well. @Kap @Oatlife - Lmfao. Knew you were an alt but just never pursued who. Would like to say I helped you get better via sims and such but obviously you were practically a finished product upon joining. It was fun having you around and sorry to ban you after someone snaked but safe to say I was obligated to do so. @Valor1 - God damn when you came back you were a piece of shit. Cocky, loud, obnoxious, etc. I thought "no way am I letting this kid anywhere near Rangers." Fast forward a couple months where you dialed back the douchbaggery and became a good member of the community. I was happy to hear you were interested in joining Rangers. You were the only Ranger who fully passed during my Colonelship. You were nuts in war, being able to both sniper and CQC effectively, being the most cracked at CQC. The server just lots its spark for you which I totally understand. Now you're busy running it down Mid with Yone or Yasuo. Wish you the best. @Dragonite - Retard lol. Still not sure if you cheated but some people are convinced you did. You had the "skill" but I tried to work on you maturity. Never was able to corral you as you just continued to hop on the server while drunk, baked, or both. Definitely a mistake I made as a faction leader was keeping you too long. @Acer - Trying to build up Delta Force was going to be interesting. Pop still wasn't great, we had MARSOC models, and not that great of guns minus the M82. You were the first person to join outside of Rust who transferred when SEALs became DF. An incredibly skilled player who was known for running his mouth and being toxic. If Dragonite was a failure, you were a success story. Over time you were able to be toxic less, or at least closet it in TS or squad chat. You were a large part of my Delta Force and last experience as a Faction Leader on the server. Your spark faded towards the end which was evident, and I think your words led to some people leaving US due to them believing what you said despite facts. You were absolute jokes to play on the server with, play other games with, and to lower my volume in TS with. Good luck in life WolfPackAlphaMax. @riprandy - Rest in Peace Randolph. From an MP5A5 abuser in GB to an absolute fiend in war. I've seen you grow in skill month after month to become not just a great war player, but a great role model. You always had the uncanny ability to know when to fuck around and when to be serious. An ability that has allowed you to progress to Head Admin. I know you're floating around right now but I genuinely hope you still find interest in the server as you'll be a huge asset. You were my right hand man in a lot of decisions as staff and as DF COL because I could trust you to give an unfiltered and macro-based opinion. The sky is the limit for you on the server. You were never one to share IRL stuff, even in my bi-weekly check-ins. So I don't really know what you're up to but I wish you the best xxliberalsmasherxx. @Lex_ - How many names you gonna use bruh?! You're one of those guys who will keep leaving and coming back every couple months until the server is gone. You have good ideas and high expectations that are rarely met. Not a bad thing but maybe a recipe for disappointment. It was a pleasure having you in DF, as you were a mature player who was definitely able to hold is own in war. I hope the new Destiny 2 content is treating you well. @hysteria - From banning your alt for cheating to accepting your staff app in record time and giving you Delta Force Colonel... LMAO. I'm happy that neither of us harbored any resentment for that and were able to be a part of a strong faction. Once you became more ingrained in DF, you were someone who I turned to for opinions on faction moves as I saw a newfound passion for the server and faction. I know you're going to absolutely kill it as COL, which is already evident by the moves you've made in your short time as de facto COL and actual COL. With your current attitude, DF and the staff team will surely flourish. Keep killin it Remy. @Python - Took you like 9 months but you finally made it to Admin. Took you awhile but you made it into Delta Force. Like Hysteria, I see a new you, who's more invested in the server than before. I've seen you grow from a cocky idiot into a well-respected staff member and player. Maybe stop mucking drugs and booze but other than that, you seem to be on the right path. Keep on trucking dragonneeerd. @zoahl - Took awhile to find your forums account but I gotcha. I wasn't able to hang around that long but it was nice to get to know you. You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders and have strong leadership qualities. Idk if your future is DF or GB but keep on doing what you're doing and you'll be fine. @Larry_The_Potato - What are we? Lol bummed I won't be sticking around to hang out with you in DF cause you are actually chill af and a good player. The butt of many memes but took em on the chin. Hope DF treats you well and you have a good time now that you're back. @Salmon - We never were really that close but it's obvious you're mature and able to handle the responsibilities of an executive. You rose to the occasion by taking 2GA during a time when it was in a pitiful state. I wish you the best moving forward. @Millerjerm - NGL you're kind of pedestrian as a staff member. I don't really see a lot of ideas or leadership coming from you. If you do have aspirations of moving up, you're going to need to change some things. @eli_ - Still don't believe you're 16 but whatever lol. You're chill and hopefully the racism is ironic. Not sure if you're going to be sticking around MRP or drop it for SWRP upon release but you do bring some quality ideas to the table from a faction standpoint. Wish you the best. @Fonza @FonzaFone - Very similar to Flame honestly. An absolutely genuine person who at their core would struggle to say a bad thing about someone's character. Playing games, Gmod or not, with you was always a pleasure and hilarious. You're one of the people who I want the absolute best for in life, cause you seem like you deserve it. @Whue - My nuts your mouth buddy, do the math. Dutch choked hard af in the Euros my guy what happened. Nah but for real I'll miss you. I was a huge proponent of you since you joined the server cause I saw the potential, not just as a player but as a leader. Playing shit like FCT with you was always big brain, which definitely resulted in some malding when people were 10 IQ like Python lol. Hope the server keeps treating you well and I'm glad to hear you're back invested. @Party - Man I hope you figure it out. We've been playing together for over a year, which is actually on the long side considering most people who played on Chaharikar v2 aint around no more. I always wanted you to shine so I could give you the promotions you desired but the stars just never aligned. Good luck moving forward in the server and in your actual military. @Bman - Bruh if I ever get Personoid with you again, I'm alt+F4ing. For real though, you mean well and you're a genuine dude. Maybe not stern enough with your faction but you've always had the best intentions. @Jake - Brit man brit man. From me basically being the only thing keeping GM's and AFSOC from being Thanos snapped, to you being where you are now. A lot of people counted you and those additions out early on, but I kept asking them to be patient and give it time to develop. Here we are, rebounding strongly from another rough patch as we always do. You have the balls to make tough calls and be the villain, and also know when harsh punishment isn't the best course of action. A combination not many have. Under your watch and the watch of this new generation of staff and players, MRP should do just fine. And lastly @Nutter - Thank you for this community Lee. It has been a part of my life for 3 years now and I've made countless memories and forged many relationships through it. It's longevity is a testament to the roots you've ingrained in the Garry's Mod gaming community. Servers have come and gone but Garnet Gaming as a whole has remained. Thank you for the opportunity to play your servers, thank you for the opportunity to staff and eventually lead a server, and thank you for the amazing time I had here on GG. To clear up why it says "Upcoming": I have already resigned from my In-Character positions. Delta Force Colonelship was handed to Hysteria and VVS GenPKN will soon be handed off after I work that out with Jake. As far a Manager goes, and I know the timing is ironic considering Choppy's situation, I'm not leaving until I've fulfilled the promises I've made as Manager to date. That includes any suggestions, Update Sheets, staff changes/duties, etc. It has been an absolute blast to have spent the last 3 years getting to know and play with all of you. I wish the best upon every player, server, and person in this community. Thank you all

  2. What he's trying to do (granted, I genuinely feel as though Vibe didn't write all of this, and had multiple people from his private Discord proof read it and add onto it) is convey that Buddha would be better of resigning from the servers and focusing on himself - furthermore, adding that his repeated behavioral problems make him a less than ideal manager for the DarkRP server. While I do recognize that the actions that took place on MilitaryRP in theory should not affect DarkRP, a manager should always keep a positive attitude and be a representative figure of the community, which Buddha failed to be. While again, I do understand where this post is coming from, it is over-reaching and not something that should be posted in the form of a report publicly. I had already spoke to Buddha about my views of his mental health and the fact that he's very close to a demotion due to those issues (literally, I quote myself "you need to change something if you emotionally depend on a Garry's Mod server to keep you happy"). He'd asked me to allow him to prove himself in the following upcoming month, and as such, my plans were to demote him down from the managerial role with the return of Proggy, and allow him to climb back up from the admin role, where he would not be taking as big of a role in the community. On the topic of mental health, alot of us have issues, hell, why the fuck would somebody like me be working on the servers for damn near 40 consecutive hours unless i'm trying to distract myselffrom something? as you've mentioned in your thread, with the quarantine situation, nearly everybody is affect and suffering in one way or another due to a lack of stimulation from the outside world, and we have to be mindful of the fact. For you to fucking think you're in the right place to start making your own analysis of somebody's mental health and bring your group of friends to strategically incriminate people who voice their opinions on the fact that it should not be a discussion is literally disgusting. Locked and moved to denied. PS I paid attention to every single person in this forum who reacted in an odd way to any positive comments made, or heck, even Proggy's decision to lack this thread to prevent the potential spread of toxicity, NO, AGAIN, we DO NOT need community input on a goddamn thread made about somebody's mental health, if they wish to talk about it, they can. Opening a discussion about it is none of your fucking business. Some of the nominees who I will consider punishing along with demoting Buddha starting May 1st will be: You're an admin on the StarwarsRP server, stop seeking drama x2 You seemed to be seeking nothing but drama/memes out of this. You absolute moron, this is a post about somebody's mental health, it should not be discussed by the community. A part of Vibe, Jackal, Tayler Shrimp, and a couple others' private Discord group (who created this report all-together) who is also banned, popping in out of nowhere to make a response. Interesting words coming from a manager who accomplished exactly nothing, I don't think you're even worthy of being punished now that I know your true colors. You one of the biggest disappointments here, and to think I had invested so much time in creating new content for the community with you is super disappointing right now. This thread really helped me see past some of you people that I speak to everyday, and how disgusting your behaviors can be. Yes, I do think Buddha is a complete manipulative moron, and again, i'm not in the right place to write a statement about his mental health, however, I do GENUINELY believe he has a good heart, which I cannot say for some of you. Many people I've taken note of today seem like they are GENUINELY bad people who are out to cause damage, create drama, and hurt others. Get fucking lost. I don't care if I lose out on a portion of Garnet's playerbase, I would be happier with a smaller community missing some of you. Way to tarnish the rest of my night, i'm off to bed.

  5. Aidan raised concern with me regarding receiving backlash for this public post, I just wanted to clarify, I am the one who asked him to create this post, he was very hesitant to. (seems that it is not locked too) I wanted to bring some of you awareness to just how screw mentally people you play with on a daily basis can be. Panini was a part of Garnet for a pretty darn long time, and despite this not occurring on our server, but on a third-party platform, I wanted to make it a point that disturbing behavior from this tier will not be tolerate, and will grant you a community-wide ban. I will also reach out to other server owners with any information they need regarding Panini to ensure he does not get in proximity of others within their servers to even attempt something like this again in the future. Panini, you're a downright garbage and disgusting human being, and I really hope we're able to prosecute you for this based off of what takes place next. If anybody else comes across behavior that is even remotely close to what happened here, please do reach out to me, Aidan, Jim, Phantom, Proggy, Buddha, Chase, or just about any high ranking staff member from the community, each of us can try our best to help you, even outside the spectrum of a community ban, but actual legal advice on what can and can't happen to the offender. Thank you again Aidan.

  6. Hello Garnet Gaming members, After being a community for a very extensive period of time, Proggy has brought it to my attention that our rules regarding racism are not at all where they should be, and while you may argue that some servers do not have rules against such things, and "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" I am in complete agreement with @proggy. We are going to be modifying our server rules across the board (DarkRP, MilitaryRP, Teamspeak, etc) to be more reflective of the new etiquette rules, effective starting June 1st. While our previous rules are generally as follows: Our new rules will be modified to reflect both OOC and IC (In-Character) chats, as well as homophobia, hate speech, sexism, and general building rules (some of you LOVE building Nazi structures throughout the server) As with all things there will be exception, IE: a member with an urban upbringing who's speech includes some foul language may be excused with a verbal warning, but generally, expect this procedure. First offense: Verbal Warning/Optional warning (depending on severity) Second offense: Warning & Chat mute Third offense: Warning & Elongated chat mute & jail time Fourth offense: Server ban for a 3 day period Fifth offense: 1 month ban for repeated hatespeech/racism/homophobia Sixth Offense: Community-wide ban.

  9. Just one of these sentimental posts I'd like to be able to reflect back on in a few years unless I die to covid-19. This time last year (and the years before) I was a terrible leader/community owner who wasn't very receptive to criticism, stuck in his ways, and not all that active. Around that time (and the years before) Garnet very very stagnant having had only 2 servers, being DarkRP and MilitaryRP, both of which were struggling to get past 60-80 players at certain times for nearly 6 years. It has gotten to a point where I spoke to players/friends who I considered close to me about shutting down the server due to its financial burden on myself as well as the fact that I was not able to dedicate enough of my time to it due to medical school. Many people retaliated telling me how much the community was meant to them, and I decided to take a year off of university (originally it was intended to be only a single semester, if you manage to find the forum post) to see what I could improve upon if I were to fully dedicate myself to the community. Literally my life since then has purely consisted of waking up, working out, grabbing a cup of coffee, and spending my day on my computer talking to players on Teamspeak/Discord, finely tweaking the servers, attempting to create content from scratch with lua for the first time, and mapping. (not to mention how bad it is now with Corona going on and having NOTHING else to do haha) Truthfully, this all paid off as this year we're looking at 12 servers most of which are at near full capacity, with a whopping playercount of over 1000 concurrent players, with over 10,000 different users joining in a day. Thanks to @421 sm0k meth and a few others such as Dan Gardner I was able to finally get Rust populated and set up properly after literally blowing a $5,000 hole in my pocket, due to the fact I knew nothing or Rust and lacked the time to dedicate to fit. Thanks to @shrimp who came back after being gone for nearly a year, MilitaryRP is once again being roleplayed on with the narrative our awesome event server set. Shrimp also dedicates hours of his free time towards it PURELY to bring a smile to you guys' face. Thanks to @Phantom and his dedication I was able to get StarwarsRP up and running after 3 fucking years, and only the future will show what's in store for that server, but it's looking promising. It was literally 3 months ago that I took pride in the fact that our community had double itself in size, but since then, we have become nearly tenfold of what we were just 12 months ago. Some achievements we've reached since literally the beginning of 2020 include: MilitaryRP finally accumulated enough maps to have a proper map rotation (Chaharikar, Taiga, Siberia, Delta, Echo) Rust Sierra 2x had 400 players online and over 300 in the queue (must've been a record of some sorts?) regardless, it made me very proud. DarkRP #2 launched seeing as our primary server was at full capacity of 128/128 for HOURS out of the day StarwarsRP re-launched after 3 years of being down with tons of money invested into its content I had just purchased our first ever EU servers to try and expand our community internationally Going through the forums it's insane to me the number of people who I come by that have stuck around for over 3 years, and I am extremely thankful for that. With the return of StarwarsRP I've been seeing an influx of "veteran players" who have not been online in YEARS making a return, and I thank you for giving Garnet Gaming a try again! hope you're not disappointed.

  10. Preface: This particular overhaul thread, similar to the original AFG Overhaul thread (the suggestion that brought RU onto the server) aims to work in reverse of that, while improving upon the previous Afghan mold. Shrimps, special, pencil, and myself have worked on various aspects of this suggestion over the past couple days and this is the final product. Google Doc Viewing: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ypPTj92Y7PJQ7tKLGAs2vmH5uF-8qQpeAoE3-AbkxmM/edit?usp=sharing Analysis of the Current Structure: The primary reason behind transitioning the server away from US versus Afghan was the glaring differences in overall appeal each side of the server had to new players. More often than not, players would rather not only prefer to play for their own nationality or something similar, but also prefer to participate in a modern, organized military structure versus the ragtag nature of the Afghan forces. Russia was suggested and eventually added to eliminate, or at least minimize the previously mentioned disparities by converting the opposition from rogue terrorist cells to another large organized military. As a result, the server became more balanced overall, and since coming into existence, the server has scarcely witnessed periods of time where the populations of either side have fallen too far out of proportion for reasons beyond base appeal. That being said, having the only two factions present on the server be nearly identical in structure, design, capabilities, etc, a new problem arises in which the only difference between the two is aesthetics, and don’t function as provide avenues for unique gameplay for both combat and roleplay. While Russians are Russian and Americans are American, comparatively, the two sides don’t necessarily act that much differently in a practical sense. On the other hand, when Afghan was around, the way US players and AFG players acted, operated, and roleplayed was vastly different. Introducing an alternate way for players to participate and enjoy the server outside of the standard, westernized mold. This lack of differentiation in the current model results in the players investing time into a particular faction or subfaction for intrapersonal connections and personal player preferences instead of interest in a particular style of gameplay. Improving the Previous Structure: In order to not fall into the same issue of population imbalance brought on through a disparity in initial appeal to new players, steps must be taken to ensure that the impression that the Afghan faction gives to new players is different from the US, but relatively equal. It should not be immediately apparent that the Afghan faction is objectively inferior to the modern United States military, but poses a threat through its lack of organization, reflective of the real life relationship. Formerly, the faction structure appeared like so, with three entry level factions reflective of the US structure containing Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. Since this time, the overall faction structure on both sides of the table has been significantly streamlined to accommodate for a shortage in leadership, and to emphasize a more linear quality hierarchy. In light of recent world events, more details about the internal structure of the Taliban’s military organizational structure have been made apparent, which will allow us to rehash the structure as follows, making it comparable to the current model. This revised structure reflects the modern Taliban organization and is composed of elements under the broad umbrella of the Taliban in Afghanistan, with the Taliban Army, also known as the Islamic Defense Force of Afghanistan, serving as the main combative force. The main force is supported by three special forces units of increasing quality and specialization. One current issue within the RU ranking structure is that most factions have different ranks. This is a chart that universalizes the ranking structure between factions. Entry Ranking Structure: Subfaction Taliban Army 055 Brigade Red Group Badri 313 2nd Air Wing MOS/Abv. 11. Accepted Firstly @jorts, there's no reason for any of our players to have a picture of your ID. Sharing a pic of your ID is a massive failing on your part of protecting your own identity, and thus Andreas will be receiving a shortened punishment for sharing it. Andreas has been removed from the staff team and banned for 6 months for sharing your identity. This is a major lapse in common sense by him, and he should definitely know better. Sharing any users private information is not allowed and will lead to a permanent ban. This goes for anywhere on our game servers, TeamSpeak, Discords, or sharing to any other player in the community privately. To all players reading this: If someone shared details of their identity to you, that does not mean they are okay with you sharing those details with other people. Do not give out your real name to people, especially full names. Do not give out any details about yourself that could allow people to search for more information about you. "Face reveals" have always been discouraged, as well as sharing your social media with other players. Remember that you cannot truly redact any information that's shared. Once something is out on the internet, it is likely out there forever.

In-game name: Bleach SteamID (https://steamid.io/: STEAM_0 : 0 :197171929 Staff members in-game name: Kendal Staff members SteamID (/id (name): STEAM_0:0:50072294 Date & Time of incident: march 18th Timezone: EST Ban Reason: Toxicity How long were you banned for?: 999 years Proof of Ban: What happened? (include any proof): I was toxic to Jackal in OOC. Why should your ban be removed?: My ban should be lifted because I was really angry at that moment due to specific circumstances and I have learned from my mistakes. I was really angry at that moment because some of MARSOC was being really toxic in OOC as well, and it really makes me angry when someone can be toxic to me, and I cannot just defend myself. I am not that type of person, I have to defend myself. Although I will not name any names, many people agree that some people at that time were literally trying to get people banned for toxicity. I felt like I was being witch-hunted, and as I already said, it’s in my nature not to take the crap. Still, I understand that what I did was wrong, and I learned from my mistakes. Because of the lessons learned from my mistakes, my toxicity has also declined in the time since my ban appeal, many people hop in TS with me and we usually play other games, it’s a friendly time in general. In those fun times, I am not very toxic to people who join the channel, even people who supported my ban and I learned from my ban that I should be more mature and not be the toxic person I used to be. I understand my reputation on the server is a toxic maniac, but everyone makes mistakes, and the best action to take after a mistake is to try to learn from that mistake, and I believe I have learned from that mistake. Someone may say, “well he said in his ban appeal it’s in his nature not to take crap from other people, therefore he cannot change to a less toxic person,” well that is simply not true because although it’s not in my nature for me to stand up for myself when I feel attacked, I am hoping to start avoiding encounters in general that get me in the situations to be as angry as I got when I was toxic to Jackal. I want to make my community reputation better as a whole to avoid such encounters. With this new doctrine, I believe that I will be a better community member with much less toxicity very dissimilar to before. With the lessons, I learned and due to the certain circumstances of my ban, I believe that my ban should be removed.

  13. Event Server Launch January 31st, 2020 Thank you @shrimp and everybody involved! Frequently Asked Questions What is an event server and at what times does it operate? This is a secondary server that is supplementary to our main server. It will operate at varying hours depending on Game Masters' availability, and will be used for strict HEAVY roleplaying. NO point-and-click wars will occur here. What rank will I have on this server? In-character ranks will be directly linked to the main server. Whitelists carry over too. Will this server be online/accessible at all times? This server will only be online when an event is activated. Not ALL events will involve your respective factions. What are the donator options/will I keep or be compensated for my current ones? No donator options will be offered on said server, Elite classes are optional to the Game Master on per-event basis, you will have to stick to your primary class' loadout Does this affect my staff rank? There is no use for staffing on this server. It is strictly operated by myself and Game Masters Why was I not a participant in the filming? This filming was done with a very small group of players who are closely knitted on a private server environment. With that being said, every faction was included in the filming. Do I/my faction HAVE to participate in this server? Completely optional. When an event is ongoing for your faction, you can feel free to stay on our primary server and participate in wars/tryouts.

  14. Suggestion: Swap the map to cscdesert until the current edit of Delta is finished. Reasoning: Garnet said if this suggestion garnered enough community support, it could be a reality. There is an edit of Delta currently being worked on that will keep the map at its core, but greatly reduce its size and style. I think that a swap to desert would serve a couple of benefits for us. One being the temporary boost in population and the second being a refreshing, OG, and fun swap to keep us entertained while we await the next Delta map. While desert isn’t a greatly designed map by any means, it has a number of charms. The small objective size, small bases, and short running distance to the OBJ make this one of the most arcadey maps in the server’s history. The small objectives allow for goofy gameplay, but given the openness of the map, snipers are a powerful tool. The small bases elevate player interactions and invite players to goof around more during peacetime. The short running distance keeps wars engaging, fast paced, and fun. I think that for our pop currently, the size, the appeal, and the design has the potential to benefit us greatly and serve as a solid map for us to wait on until the new edit is finished. Additional:

  16. Garnet Gaming MilitaryRP December 26, 2019 INTRO This the last update of 2019 for MilitaryRP Thank you guys for an amazing year. This was a notably hard year for me as well as a couple other long-timers in the community With 2020 being less than a week away, many of us are going to try out best to improve, and I have a very strong commitment to making MilitaryRP a better server Stay tuned to 2020 for many unique and fun changes! PS it is 3AM and I've been at this for two days now, I most definitely made an error somewhere, so please be kind. Weapon Base Ricochet CW2.0 Weapon Ricochet has been disabled. 17. I think I've taken just about enough time for myself and healing, and I will be making a return to Garnet shortly. Expect all donation support to be handled first, and I will then start focusing on new server updates. Thank you so much for your patience! PS We will also have 2 new Rust servers coming up.

  18. After talking amongst staff about a possible ROE change it would be best to ask the community also. Current ROE : Ist: Do not shoot unless fired upon. Only applies outside of war. Does not apply if you're on someone else's claim. 2nd: You may shoot anyone with explosives in their hands. Proposed ROE: US KOS Taliban with a weapon out. Unless its on a claimed Area. AFG KOS any US outside of base and not in a claimed area. Quickswapping will be enforced. With the the current POP of the server I have noticed and also what others have noticed is that newer players leave the server during peacetime when nothing is happening. With the proposed ROE change it would bring more players to the Taliban cause they have more freedom of what they want to do but also give players on both sides reasons to leave the base. I made a list in our staff discord of what they would think of a possible ROE change. Pros: Tali numbers would go up substantially as they would get more freedom to do whatever they want unless its a claim/base. Players when they join they want to kill people once they figure out they have a gun. This would allow people to kill other people and have a sense of realism on both sides. It would give a purpose of patroling spots on the map and have the chance of being ambushed and a sense of an actual MilRP scenario. People can act like civilians on the map instead of switching to the civ class. Making sure there is no chances of raids and being able to prevent them from raiding DB's before they get into the base. Cons: People would get killed outside of base. Will be hectic in sits possibly but we use logs to figure out most situations. Obviously there are more pros as this is something I mentioned awhile ago to staff so there is bias here so I'm asking for your help on possible pros or cons that I haven't listed and how you guys think it would take affect.

  19. One thing i'm more disappointed than a staff application turning into a massive political debate, because some community members just can't help stirring online drama, is the fact that @Rust felt at fault and took down his picture that was in support of law enforcement..? Am I missing something here PS Fetn Here I have my own sort of "problems" with the BLM flag but in my opinion it is perfectly fine to have it as your profile picture. The BLM flag doesn't state that other races are inferior, so i'm not sure how that'd cause a problem. It literally exists to state that there is a racial disparity in police violence. PSPS One last edit "ALL LIVE MATTER" is a counter argument to "Black Lives Matter" and you'll see racist ass white people preaching that all day long, even though white people generally aren't under risk for racial violence. HOWEVER, the blue line flag never intended to be a counter argument to black lives matter - and it's existed for years before the BLM movement grew massively in 2020. If you have a problem with their flags, do some growing up or fuck right off these forums and go play another community, because i'm personally not in the mood to deal with people who are spreading around hate.

  21. @Captainswag messaged me about Gamma's passing yesterday, and that news is never fun to here. Thank you, @Garnet for putting an event together for this. I haven't interacted with Gamma much since I left the community, but the moments we shared were always amazing. To you Gamma, I hope you looked back on the many positive and wonderful memories you got to make with everyone, and somehow feel the love of everyone here. You deserve it. It sucks to know how much pain you must have been going through to take your own life. Whatever your soul might be going through right now, I hope it is better than what you were feeling the moments before your passing. You succeeded at being a positive influence on many people, as seen on this thread. Thanks for the time we had.

  22. Dear Garnet Gaming members, due to a recent raise in malicious events taking place within our forums, I have decided to take it upon myself to better the security of our users and myself by imposing stricter standards than our forums previously allowed for. I'd like to remind everybody that doxing and DDoSing within our community is NOT tolerated under any event, whether you think the victim deserved it for one reason or another, and any event will lead to the ban of the perpetrator and anybody involved. Part A. Admin & Moderator Permission-sets I have decided to temporarily limit all members of our community from accessing the administrator dashboard (this includes @proggy for the time being unfortunately, so you cannot reach out to him for assistance until further notice). Forum Moderators and Administrators can no longer view members' email addresses or any form of profile editing, whether this be the editing of one's profile name/profile description/viewing PMs/posting on the behalf of. These are permissions I personally would have never expected to be used maliciously, and really served no purpose, so I have decided to remove them all-together. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part B. 2-Step Authentication Members of the community may direct to Profile > Account Settings > Security and Privacy > 2-Step Authentication This will ensure that every time you log into our forums, a short electronic code will print from your mobile device to ensure that your account is secure from an event of hacking. Without immediate access to your cellular device, there is no way into your account. I fully expect all Moderating and Administrating users adapt this feature asap, otherwise you will be liable for ALL that takes place under your account, regardless of the IP or device used for any sort of malicious acts. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part C. Our Terms of Service I believe a large portion of our population simply ignored our registration terms, and I figured it'd be worth posting our current terms in this thread for users to review. I would like to remind you all that you electronically signed off and agreed to these terms upon your registration to this community. These terms are due for an overhaul fairly soon in order to EXPLICITLY include a doxing and DDoSing clause. For the record, our second paragraph already explicitly states that when offensive material is posted, you may contact myself and the administration team for the IMMEDIATE removal of the material, if this was actually carried out by the players parttaking in yesterday's situation, the staff team would have had it under control much quicker. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part D. Email-Confirmations Up to 2020 our forums never requested users to confirm their registration via e-mail, the registration process was as simple as linking your account to your Steam profile, and you are good to go. This resulted in a massive amount of spam that was entirely uncalled for. For the time being, I have disabled forum registrations until me and our host are able to work out a reliable way to introduce email verifications to your forum accounts <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part E. Anonymous Log-Ins Players can no longer connect to our online forums in such a way that would conceal their online status, all users will be presented as "online" when utilizing our forums. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Part F. New User Approval New users on our forums will have to go through an approval process mandated by our Moderators and Administrators alike, your initial 10 posts and comments must be approved by our staff to not be shitposts or malicious in nature in order to allow you to freely utilize our forums. I personally believe that this feature alone will immensely promote a safe environment within our forums. <---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> A special thank you to those of you who have been supportive of me over the past few days on our platforms such as Teamspeak and Discord, you've brought me alot of joys and ideas for this update following recent events that took place with malicious forum visitors, and I cannot be more thankful for this. I'm looking forward to a safer forum environment free of toxicity and other negative occurrences. I will shortly be contacting Facepunch myself in order to receive their guidance in navigation through this situation and see if there is any hope in introducing this into their very own EULA.

  23. Who are you reporting? [Staff/Player]: OzzyYour in-game name: foxtrot54Your SteamID (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:0:578609025In-game name of reportee: OzzySteamID of reportee (https://steamid.io/): STEAM_0:1:98542905Date & Time of incident: thought-out the entirety of 2020Timezone: ESTWhat happened? (include any proof): The current Super-Admin of Garnet Gaming Military Roleplay server insists that all his actions are for the best of the server. However it has recently come to my attention that he has been issuing cheats among the players of the server. These screenshots are from when Ozzy first returned to the staff team with the intention of becoming manager, and at this point we have come to see that he has reached the rank of Super-Admin. However I do not believe that someone who issues cheats among the players of the MRP community should be in any position of power, as this corrupt attitude is an plague to our server. Cheating in garnet has always been an issue, and it doesn't help when the person who is suppose to run the server, and claims that he will get rid of cheaters, is the one issuing cheats, and letting said cheaters get away with it. As soon as I came in possession of these screenshots I knew I had to bring these to the public eyes. As now it seems almost hypocritical of him to antagonize Spilq for spawning items on rust, when Ozzy was doing something much worst by spreading cheats among MRP. I hope that this is not something that is simply swept under the rug, as this is something that needs to be dealt with.

  25. I'll be honest with anybody reading, this is Buddha's favorite manipulation tactic. Buddha does fuck-all and acts toxic in-game/on Teamspeak trying to make people side with him because he has mental health issues just like everybody else (all while blaming them on his behavior). Then turns around when he finds an opportunity given somebody else stooped to your level, and tries to play them out to be toxic/fools. Buddha, you took this one opportunity to act completely mature, calm, and collected. Too bad that didn't happen when you messed up the past few months. I'll be locking this thread for now, it's not an apology, and I don't see why somebody would want to go out of their way to read how you fucked up on this community. People like myself, Jackal, and Shrimp could write a scroll on how we've fucked up in the past, but we didn't. Don't see what you were aiming to achieve other than forgiveness.

  26. Hello Garlic Gamers, We've hit the dreaded "finals" month as well as various states going out of lockdown, making the server population as unpredictable as can be, but I'll try to make the best out of it Server Tickrate 16 > 33 Due to the lower server population, I have shortened the intervals between which players receive input updates from the server. This will in turn provide a MUCH more responsive/accurate feel to players, with far less visual glitches. This bump is massive (more than doubled the previous value) and might bite us in the ass if we spontaneously hit 70+ players, as the server will be rather unstable, however, I think for the time being we should be fine. Will keep an eye on server stability throughout the day, or @AwesomeAidan and @D_Rose could keep me updated if needed to be lowered to 22. NOTE: WE HAVE NEVER HAD OUR TICKRATE THIS HIGH ON THIS SERVER. Dynamic Damage Mod This is a beta patch I've been working on for a LONG time, due to the troublesome damage multipliers of some bodygroups, IE: arm and hand in conjunction with the low tickrate, high playercount (high latency) nature of MilitaryRP, I have decided to "buff" the damage output of players who have been hit in their hands/arms/legs to be nearly as high as the chest and stomach regions. In addition to this, I have made damage outputs vary (this is not based off of angles) for (albeit slight) random deviation to show. Might play around with deviation more at a later time. Current damage outputs: Center of mass (stomach hitbox) - 95-105% damage (100% damage average) Chest - 110-120% damage (115% damage average) Head - 200% damage (200% damage average) Arms - 75% damage (75% damage average) Hands - 70% damage (70% damage average) Legs - 60% damage (60% damage average) - no deviation applied Examples FMG-9 w/ Magnum round attachment Before Stomach hitbox: 21 damage Chest hitbox: 29 damage Head hitbox: 58 damage Arm hitbox: 11 damage Hand Hitbox: 8 damage Leg Hitbox: 8 damage After Stomach hitbox: 27-29 damage Chest hitbox: 32-34 damage Head hitbox: 58 damage Arm hitbox: 22 damage Hand hitbox: 20 damage Leg Hitbox: 17 damage Thank you @vilan and @Duglas for being AFK on the server and getting killed over and over for 3 consecutive hours by me while I test this. Lets see how this plays out before doing any further weapon balancing, it may be a better solution! In addition to this, I have slightly buffed the scaling of fall-damage as to discourage rambo-style gameplay. Jumping off of Embassy to flank somebody may prove to be fatal, taking away 80-90HP Drown Mod Never thought this would be necessary, but anything is possible on Garnet Gaming. I have added a new feature to the server to detect if anybody has been underwater for a duration longer than 10 seconds. Players who are hiding underwater will now receive 20 damage on close intervals once spent longer than 10 seconds underwater. This might find use later when we introduce more Gamemaster features onto the MilitaryRP server. Navy SEAL : Diver (an event class) may receive an extended/unlimited duration underwater. Misc Changes Removed auto-assigning of US Army Support and Russian Forces Support due to players always defaulting to Russia when holding both whitelists. Managers granted permission to use the 'Permanent Prop' tool Managers granted permission to use the 'Textscreen' tool (feel free to add more detail to each faction's respective recruit room, as well as the server's main "civillian" spawn point for new players) if not - i'll just handle it myself after I get some sleep, but that's a bit overdue and I forgot to do it on Delta If you do: PLEASE USE BETTER ENGLISH THAN GILDART USED ie: READ THE WALL. DO /NAME Increased capture point area sizes on both Killhouse and Silo as requsted by @AwesomeAidan Let me know if further tweaking is needed!

  27. About 6.5 years ago we started off as a small TTT and DarkRP community that I created after having a foul experience staffing for a careless owner who used his outrageously big donation money towards drugs use, I wanted to create a more attentive community that is frequently updated based off of community criticism back when "suggestion forums" were not a thing in 99% of communities. I didn't have any expectations as far as succeeding, and I humbly was looking forward to running a small 48 slot DarkRP server, however, within a year of playing everyday and staffing for 12 hours a day, taking sits, and having fun with players, the server ended up maxing at 100/100 within 3 months. From there we had our ups and downs having issues with DDoS and being down for 5 days out of the week, until I picked up a part time job and we were able to afford better premium hosting. We ditched our TTT server in favor of opening up a MilitaryRP server, which is about to celebrate its 4th birthday. The community has been evolving with old members leaving, getting replaced by newer members throughout the years. Our peaks were really decent, at one point having 3 servers maxed out at 100+ players with StarwarsRP (which had unfortunately not made a return in 2 years) and things were going really well. I took a 8 month hiatus to deal with personal matters last year, however, I came back towards the end of 2019 refreshed and eager to get our community to grow to its next level along with the support of many. After spending thousands of dollars on a Rust server that never picked up in population, I received the help of many, especially @421 sm0k meth who has been here throughout the years, and we managed to enter the top 10 in the respective category were hosting in within 3 months. As of today (2/8/2020, I'm extremely happy to announce that we have hit a new milestone at 600 concurrent players. This is a milestone that we have achieved thanks to our awesome players and staff alike - we have effectively doubled our playerbase with the introduction of Rust 5x, 2x, TTT and Murder in just the last few months. For the remainder of 2020 I will continue trying my best to provide new content to all servers, attempt to bring up our quality of staffing with the help of our administration team, as well as be more responsive to any major reports and support threads posted to keep you guys in this community which is a home to hundreds of players. We will most definitely still experience some downfalls here and there, but I can say that my efforts to grow the community are at an all-time high, and as are the efforts of many of our current high positioned staff members. I have taken 2 semesters off of university to pursue this community, and to say the least, I have no regrets because of the results that were produced. Thank you so much for your overwhelming support.

  31. Well, this is it folks. (no I'm not leaving the community or stopping playing darkrp) I got to say, I never really thought this would happen for a long time, but after 2+ years of staffing I am getting tired, and balancing out college work as well is going to make fulfilling the duties I swore to complete as manager impossible. I'd like to have a stress-free summer before college begins, and honestly my physical health has taken a dramatic toll over the last few months due to a variety of things, including stress. Anyone who heard me on my "bad nights" can attest to that. Despite this though, it has been a honor and a privilege to manage our DarkRP team for over a year, and even moreso an honor to have been staff on Garnet Gaming for 2 years. I have already spent a while talking with proggy over this, and have transferred all my documents I have created to him for his use. Know I am not at all leaving the community by any means, and I'll still be around all the time. I'm just stepping down from a position where I am doing staff work. Like hell I'd leave this community, you guys mean the literal world to me. So again, i'm still gonna be around all the time, just not as a staff member but rather as a normal player. I wanted to shout out some important people throughout my journey of being staff here, while I may not mention all of them know most of you who I've kept in contact with are people that matter to me. I'm always here for any of you whenever you need it. To the Manager "Cult", @DiegoZavier - Offered me 2$ to be the first one mentioned, couldn't resist. You mean a lot to me man, it's always been fun hanging out in teamspeak with you and cracking jokes. Stay cool up there in Canada man. @Proggy - I don't even know where to start here. You've always been someone I could rely on and ask anything, along with just being an incredibly good friend. I'm glad to have had you around the entire time I was here. From you accepting my staff application to now, it really does mean a lot to me. @stretchy - Despite at some points we had our small disagreements, you've always been one of the most reliable people that I could always go to when I needed help with something. On top of that, you've always been a great friend man. #cyberswordforSA @GrosCave - Fucking amazing guy to work with, I'll miss all we did. Here's to hanging out elsewhere though man! My dms are always open for you @Clicher - I know you are not longer manager, and despite your at times poor behavior on the forums, I have to mention you man. You are and always will be one of the best friends I've made on Garnet Gaming, and hell, we got manager together man. Here's for us getting User- together one day lmaoo. Hit me up if you ever wanna reconnect over some games or somethin'! @ajbedhead - Unfortunately we haven't had a chance to talk in months, however you were also always a great friend of mine. Stay awesome man. @PolarICE - Despite my resignation I will forever be attempting to kill you via global warming, don't think that this changes shit. >:) @GrandDaddyStalin - Keep planning purges man. I won't question your communist beliefs any time soon To my Friends Against Pricks, @Glorbnob - You are by far one of the hardest workers on the DarkRP staff team, and you even balance it with helping out on SWRP as well. I told proggy this in private, but I have personally recommended you to become the next manager and to take my place. You are constantly helping people out just like I did, and I think honestly you could do the same if not a better job than I have. Either way though, I'm still burning down your minecraft village @Adric - Stop shitting on yourself so much man fr, you are a fucking amazing friend, and a fucking amazing guitarist/ukulele player. Despite the shit I enjoy giving to you, you need to know that you are seriously one of the best friends I've ever made on Garnet Gaming, which is crazy considering how long I've been here. @ShankNinja - Your always super fun to talk to, and have always been a player I've been able to look at for example since I first joined the community. Never stop being you man, like fr. Just stop liking the minions movie so much @Titan1 - Dark titan moment. For real though, you are fucking awesome dude. Never change my man! @WreckEMsaints - You smell chutiya. For real though its always been super fun to hang out with you, don't expect me to be gone from our Friends Against Pricks group any time soon @TheDudeAbidesV3@TheDudeAbidesV2@TheDudeAbides - Always fun to have you around to hang with us, we should do some more quests sometime soon! @DrCloudyJuice - Gotta watch Jerry Springer sometime soon and laugh at it's stupidity man, go enjoy being a cool ass EMT man! @RoyKenneth - I still laugh just thinking about the time we played roblox tycoons together man. Hope to do that sometime soon too! @TheBigMike - I still think your other name is funny af, you are a great guitar player too man, would love to hear you and adric jam sometime @LocoRico - Lets play some VR sometime man! For the people who stuck around in Teamspeak, @LyndeFish - You were not only my trainer, but someone I grew a great connection with over teamspeak. For my first few months I thought you hated me lmao, but I'm glad I found out you didn't and we got to talk on TS a ton. Hope to catch up sometime. @hex_ - Always fun to talk to you in TS, hope to see you around there! @Luxembourg@Luxembourg_ - You were always a fucking great friend, who knows? Maybe I'll be active on TTT and apply there some day. Then you can be my higher-up! @JPdude - Ima beat you at your gambling den watch me @gia - Cheeseeeeeeeeee @Pikožrút - Communist for life brother! @Papiraqi - Yo man we really gotta reconnect sometime hit me up in dms or some shit, we gotta call and hang out just like months ago @Fetn - You were one of the first people I met on Garnet Gaming, and are still one of the best people I've met on here. Like it or not, you are a cool dude man. @LeKichi - Yo always down to hang out on TTT For everyone else, @WoolleyMonster - Hope your doin' alright man, we've talked in dms a bit but I'm mentioning you here because you had a significant impact on me @PapaKrabbe - I miss you man come back @Kqi (cant find your forum name) - I miss you man, we gotta do some wild shit on VC sometime @Pacman - Stop rdming me asshole @poopa - Broooo come hang out with me sometime, I miss when we'd hang out. @Minxx (cant find forum name) - I miss you man too, used to be around back when I started. Dms are always open to you @MisterShankie - Yo I hope your holding up alright man, it'd be nice to talk sometime @JazzaFoo - Stop overworking yourself my guy, dms are open to hang out whenever @Hardy@hardyforgorpw - Yooooo Teletubbies moment man! We should hang out too! @Ghostieee - Spooky af please don't kill me while I'm sleeping @tdizz - Da strangest thing is that nobody asked @Agent-T - Despite you being an asshole as of recent I'll remember you for the good times we've had. Hopefully you can become the nice Toddd I know you were at one point again. @ChrisRid - Yo always down to hang out man, your a cool dude @ElCompadre@ElCompadre1 - BRO LETS HANG OUT SOME TIME HOLY FUCK I MISS YOU! @Hoal - Give me your children so I can sell them on ebay to fund my McDonalds fund @BINLADINHOE - You are a fucker, and I love you for that. Never change Last of all, @Nutter Just like proggy, I don't even know where to begin with this. We met on among us one night, and I murdered you and thought you hated me after a while because of that. We hung out and caught some server crashers the day before I became manager though, and ever since then its always been a pleasure and a ton of fun to be able to work with you though. On top of that, I consider you a great friend of mine and I'm always down to do some gaming or call some scammers (if its the right time for them to be doing scams) with you whenever! Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with this team, and get to know a ton of amazing people who I've watched and help grow into better people. It's shocking how wholesome and great a DarkRP community can really be. I'll probably eventually return to staff at some point, but know I'll always be here for you, and for the team man. Thank you. If I missed anyone, know that I still care about most of that I've met, and you can always reach out to me if you need advice, support, or just a friend to hang out with and talk to. I'm not leaving the community by any means, just resigning from staff work. I can say with certainty that while there have been bumps on the DarkRP staff team road, I am genuinely proud of our team, while there are always improvements to be made, you all should be proud of yourselves too. @Proggy set me to VIP on DarkRP, thank you for everything guys, and I'm excited to see you all not as a manager, but as a player and a friend to you all. Thank you everyone!

I would be able to enforce the rules effectively but also show leniency, for example, on something that seems like a genuine mistake or if a new player who doesn't know the rules does something they don't know they aren't allowed to do. I have been apart of this community since 2016 and I am committed to seeing it grow and prosper. I think that me applying for GM and then being one of the few T. GM's promoted shows that. As well as that I am the Lieutenant Colonel of Red Group which I think also shows my Commitment, Responsibility, and Professionalism, all of which I believe should go into being a good staff member. I work well with others and I believe that I get along well with everyone on the server which goes to show that I wont make biased decisions. I am also willing to stick to my beliefs on something and am willing to speak up and defend my point of view if I believe others in the staff team are doing something wrong. Some may wonder why I wish to leave GM and switch to staff. In all honesty I am bored of being GM (and have been for a while) and have been thinking about wanting to switch over to staff for about a week or two. I feel that my skills could be better applied elsewhere and that being staff would allow me to better help the community that I love. I will give 110% to being a good staff member and will do my best to make sure that this community grows and flourishes. I look forward to see all comments and all feedback. I hope everyone see's who see's this agrees that I would make a good staff member and to everyone who see's this take care and god bless. Have you ever been banned or punished on GG MRP?: Aside from that one Basecamp warn no. Have you made any previous applications, If so when?: I have made no previous staff applications. I have made a GM application that was accepted. How much time do you have to contribute to the role?: I can be on Almost everyday for at least 3+ hours depending on my work schedule.

  33. [Part 1/2] Russia > Afghanistan conversion As all of you have gathered by now, the nation of Russia was removed from our server in favor of introducing back Afghanistan, which we featured on our server starting in 2015, all the way through I believe 2017. We are currently in the first half of the conversion which includes Playermodels play-testing (for hitboxes, sizing, and other components). At this point in time I have patched up most systems on the servers that directly rely on team names, IE: Whitelisting functionality, the war system, and spawns. However, there is currently no supported Air Force operations NPC, no Squadron system, and weapons have yet to be updated from their Russian counterparts. Please allow a day or two for the update to entirely be concluded, and enjoy the new content! The Taliban 55th Arab Brigade Danger Group Haqqani Network Afghan Air Force Shortly you guys will also see the inclusion of: Team Radio 'U' chat, Elite Classes, Squad functionality, Special OPs NPC. Massive thank you to @Papiraqi and his family members for allowing us to 3d scan their bodies in order to be used within our Garry's Mod servers, this contribution will go a long way Also special genuine thank you to @bishopil for creating his suggestion, and presumably @special for editing said models.

  34. Took a little peek at WayBackMachine and got a little nostalgic, even though alot of stuff is missing 2 hours later, I realized I spent far too much time on this post, but it's ok. 2014-2015 | A TTT Server Back then GarnetGaming was literally a fun project I began working on because I was caught up in my High School classes and got tiresome of staffing other people's communities for various reasons. Initially, Garnet Gaming was a team of 3 admins GRINDING hardcore to get 15-20 players on. On billing dates I believe I had to pay roughly $15 for 30 server slots, at which point young me was nearly crying and on the verge of begging his parents for an allowance When you're in high school you'd just rather spend that money on video games, food, and dates. 2015-2016 | Introduction of DarkRP The TTT community continuously requested we expand into the DarkRP gamemode (at which point we would regularly hop onto existing servers anyways) and I was able to budget just enough to where I could allow myself to host two servers while saving up for my first year of college. 2016-2017| Introduction of MilitaryRP Right from week 1, DarkRP was at the very top of the category, and everytime somebody would donate for any sort of item, I would immediately re-invest. This netted us a properly made website, access to public (paid) addons, and a dedicated server machine that didn't get DDoS'd nearly as much. At this point, I feel as though more and more people took this community for more than a hobbyist project, but instead, another run-of-the-mill DarkRP server hosted by a kid who still his mother's credit card. Towards the end of the year a community by the name of UG shut down and I was begged to join the MilitaryRP category seeing as there were no stable servers left to join. I took the opportunity and purchased another dedicated server. Super late in 2016 we were also asked to hop on the SCP Breach band-wagon which was one of the most popular gamemodes for awhile, needless to say, if I could go back, I would smack myself. 2017-2018 | The Stagnant era Much of the same, the community didn't grow much during this period because we were ALL too busy playing PUBG, Fortnite, and learning to deal with depression. Looking through the images it also looks like during 2018 we had released PoliceRP, which did REALLY, winning the category over, that is until we suffered from continous DDoS attacks presumably from our competition. 2018-2020 | Hold on boys.. daddy's going to get some cigarettes During these two years alot of shit went downhill in my life and I think I was absent from the community for damn near 12 or 13 months out of the two years. This period netted us roughly 120 players at peak between both DarkRP and MilitaryRP with very rare updates. Prior to these pretty unfortunate life events taking place (which some may know, simultaneously included a death and a nasty break up), I had purchased 2 server machines to utilize for expansion into the game Rust. Needless to say they went entirely unused and cost a fortune to keep up, so 2018 was the only year where GarnetGaming declared a loss when filing for taxes . On and off we had discussions of whether or not it was time to shut down the community, and to be honest, I'm glad we ended up choosing against it. 2020-2021 | A comeback? At the beginning of 2020 I made it clear on the forums that I intend on making a full return to the server and try to maintain my own mental health the best I can through balance. The community unfortunately had to see a string of some really personal posts from me, however there were always met with support. Thankfully, this year I was able to come across and recruit some solid people to assist me in running the community, such as Proggy, and all the servers across the board received more frequent and effective updates via the use of what we called "Update Sheets". A bi-monthly document that each server's managerial team is expected to post with ideas for new content. Shortly after this, the COVID-19 pandemic began, shutting down US states in mid-March, when myself and most all the server's management teams came together and started really grinding out those updates and throwing around ideas. Within half a year into 2020, we had effectively gone from a community who peaked at 200 players for 4-5 years, to a community whos playerbase generally did not dip underneath 300 at any point of the night. Moving into 2021 I just really hope we can finally break the 2,000 concurrent players milestone that has been making me upset for the past month The most players online was on December 30th, 2020 1:10 AM EST with 1682/2863 players on our servers! Thank you everybody who's stuck around for the ride, I get extremely excited when I come across the name of a player who's been around since 2014, which is incredibly rare, but we still have a few veteran players from the years 2016 and 2017. PS After reviewing some of these screenshots, I most definitely feel like re-formatting our forums like the old days to allow for some more misc forums, IE: Rant/Shitpost Central.

  35. Little section Proggy forgot to add, Promotions MVP Proggy > Super Admin (14 sits handled) For the longest time I have refused to ever look into the possibility of a DarkRP Super Administrator because of how much power the role carries, and honestly, we've just notably been screwed over by more SAs than those who responsibly held their title without abuse. In your case Proggy, you've been a great friend that I feel I can reach out to regarding most anything, you've helped me more than anybody in knowing what direction to push the server, and honestly, you're overall somebody who I would trust to hand the server to if I ever had to leave the community as a whole because I know you would selflessly maintain things and keep the general playerbase happy. A huge thank you to you!

  36. It's that time again! Preface: Hey everyone, I'm shrimps. For those of you who are new or too old to remember me, I'm an old MRP player. I founded the modern RU and all that fun stuff. One thing I'm pretty well known for is suggestions, and that brings us here. Recently, a certain individual on the forums brought up the topic of roleplay in MRP and what can be done to improve it. If you'd like to read that post, you can find it here. One of the primary things I've sought to accomplish in this community during my time as a faction leader, staff, or otherwise was to improve the state of RP, and like I said on the aforementioned thread, it's very difficult to do in one swift movement. These things take time. In the interest of an attempt to gradually increase the tangible RP functionality of the server, I've come up with a brief but fairly groundbreaking course of action after discussing a bit with Garnet and resurrecting my creative abilities. I'll do my best to thoroughly explain the processes and their effects here. I would also like to ask that if you are going to provide a response to the suggestion or any specific part of it, please make sure you read said parts completely, thanks. Part I: The Overhaul As the title suggests, this is going to be a bit on the experimental side as far as any changes go. Take everything with a grain of salt. Frankly, I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to the server, but I've got a pretty good idea of the current state from Garnet and others. That being said, the goal here is to insert a dynamic into the server to break up the monotony, as it a common complaint between wars and what not. Having the ability to spice things up and create a near infinite number of unique interactions between the various groups at play at any given time is the foundation of solid RP, even at the lowest level. This brings me to my next, and probably most controversial point. Group 4 Securicor, also known as G4S. The modern battlefield is plagued by indirect warfare, unmanned systems, and the chaotic element known as the Private Military Contractor. G4S happens to be the largest multinational security company to date, and is headquartered in London. G4S has deployed units for a variety of operations in a number of war zones since the early 2000's all for one reason, money. As far as the effects this would have on the server, how it would be structured, and any other essential information will be discussed further below. For now I'd just like to talk about the role a mercenary corporation would have on this specific server. For starters, G4S would operate independently of either faction, bearing no favor towards the United States or Russia. As a neutral group, G4S would be able to act in whatever way benefits them the most as a small unit of professional mercenaries. Actions available to G4S Mercenaries include assassination, theft, sabotage, private security, surveillance, reconnaissance, and paramilitary operations granted the client has a proper amount of coin to warrant such actions. Part II: The Economy In order to have a functional money based entity to work properly on the server, same major modifications are due to the economy. I personally think there are a number of ways to go about this and I'd like to hear what anyone else thinks, but the method I came up with is as follows. First, establish 'budgets' for the three major factions. This will be consistent values accessible by officers of the respective elements, likely to be done by creating a UI accessible by people on an officer job via a command. Hopefully not too code heavy, and integrated enough to make it fluid. Officers would be able to transfer money to G4S for various negotiated services. If possible, the budget of each faction would be synced up to the war timer. At the conclusion of each war, the US and RU budgets would be granted a sum of money dependent on the outcome of the war with the loser being granted marginally more. This value would scale to the amount of players on at the time of distribution to reduce the effect low-pop wars have on the overall budgets. This will allow the faction on a losing streak to use their surplus budget to enlist the services of G4S and gain in advantage in the next conflict or dish out some revenge to spice things up. This leads us to what use G4S has for the money in a server context. I think the most reasonable thing to do is create a vendor NPC for use by G4S members to acquire single life specialized equipment for operations. The more money G4S stockpiles and earns by carrying out operations successfully, the more effective they will be in future operations, and the more options they will have available. These items will come at a hefty price to balance out any chance at being used abundantly, forcing G4S to carefully plan out their operation logistics and financial state. This also opens up similar options for the two nations, as their budgets could potentially be used for alternative means. This would force each subfaction to interact with each other in order to properly distribute funds and add another element to the currently simple war scheme. I'd like to reiterate I'm very open to alternative ideas to this layout of financial logistics, so please, read over this and respond accordingly. Part III: The Structure G4S, as a neutral entity, needs its own base of operations in order to prepare for operations and meet with delegates from the warring nations to negotiate contracts. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with the current iteration of the map Garnet prepared to suggest a viable option, and I'm open to suggestions. If added, the base for the current map will likely be temporary, and the addition of one to a future iteration of the map will be factored in and it will improve from there. The criteria for a temporary base are simply a small building or compound to house a meeting room and an NPC vendor. Beyond housing needs, the chain of command for G4S from top to bottom will be as follows: Officers: Operations Director [ODR] -Faction Leader that oversees day to day operations, appoints squad leaders during mobilization, and manages the budget. Assistant Director [ADR] -Second only to the Director, fulfills all duties of the Director in the event of his/her absence. Chairmen [BDR] -Enforce the protocols established by the Directors, oversee the negotiations of contracts and interactions with foreign parties. Commander [CDR] -Oversee the training and deployment of units, coordinate field operations as the operations commander. Enlisted: Captain [CPT] -Act as operations leader in the field, report to the Commander for promotions and demotions, training, and other comments. Lieutenants [LDR] -Manage lower enlisted outside of operations and assist in training efforts. Sergeants [SGR] -Upper level foot soldiers, eligible for team leader assignments. Corporals [CPR] -Next in line for team leader assignment, mid level foot soldier. Privates [PVR] -Low level foot soldier, learning the ropes. Distribution of operation equipment will be determined by rank. Higher level soldiers will be granted access to better equipment than base soldiers in operations on a basis of experience. Regarding the classes themselves, I will make no recommendation on playermodels, however I will recommend a 4 class system that pertains to the ranking structure, allowing for further specialization within the faction itself by way of the gear vendor. Class Recommendations: For the standard secondary, I went with the currently unused SR-1M. It's a reliable shooter with a large magazine size and does very well in the covert environment, fun to RP with in my experience. For standard primaries issued to each class, the notion behind each choice is being a all-around useful, compact firearm that can be a tool in nearly any operation alongside specialized gear. The selections are as follows: G4S : Director Primary: FN P90 (khr_p90) Secondary: SR-1M (khr_sr1m) Additional Gear: weapon_crowbar G4S : Commander Primary: FN P90 (khr_p90) Secondary: SR-1M (khr_sr1m) Additional Gear: cw_flash_grenade, cw_smoke_grenade G4S : Operative Primary: FN P90 (khr_p90) Secondary: SR-1M (khr_sr1m) Additional Gear: cw_smoke_grenade G4S : Mercenary Primary: FN P90 (khr_p90) Secondary: SR-1M (khr_sr1m) Any additional gear on the classes themselves is there for the sake of convenience due to how often added gear might be in use. The crowbar is for RP purposes, I swear. This setup allows for all classes to share a common load out and express uniformity in RP situations, which I can fully get behind. Classes are set up to compliment the rank structure. Lower enlisted will have mercenary, higher enlisted will have operative. Commander and Chairmen will have Commander, and the Directors will have director. I really don't know where to start with playermodels. I'll take suggestions on it for sure, but the easy way out is always CS professional models. Part IV: Roleplay Integration The main purpose of this suggestion is to take a step towards roleplay. The members of G4S will be heavily bound by roleplay rules, specifically things like being limited to In-Character, or IC interactions only in game. For example, while in game, members of G4S will not be able to use terms like 'RDM' or things that would not exist in real life inside IC forms of communication, like local voice and comms. G4S members have to maintain character at all times, regardless of how other players act around them. This will set the tone for the baseline level of RP required to interact with G4S, and will usually be limited to the officers of the warring factions. The theory behind this is that, officers will be required to act in character in order to make dealings with G4S, thus developing their sense of character. These interactions will also expose any accompanying enlisted to the standard IC interaction and further develop the tone at a slow and steady rate. Over time, this will gradually expose the server to a new baseline for roleplay, and open a variety of doors in terms of roleplay options. The management-appointed leader of G4S would be encouraged to incorporate further dynamic roleplay elements of both passive and active RP into the faction over time to expose the server to a broader and more refined level of roleplay and realism, likely improving the general atmosphere of the server. In the field, G4S members will be expected to maintain their level of roleplay as they would off the job, providing a fluid and functional experience to both the participants and the victims. The three faction system worked quite well in the past according to Garnet, but as stated by him, one of the three never failed to eventually die out. At the time, all three factions were warring factions and operated at an equal level. This provided an element of unpredictability to the nature of conflict, but was a struggle to maintain. In this format, a neutral group would be cultivated and maintained by management itself, ensuring that all the set precedents for RP, numbers, and structure are being met to their fullest, as well as not being a large enough group to take away from the bulk of the population on the warring sides. Part V: Administrative Incorporation The functionality of G4S relies heavily on rules. Rules that bind the members of G4S to roleplay regulations, as well as rules that layout a foundation for the activities G4S may partake in as far as things they can be contracted for, and for their pricing. The latter half of the rules pertaining to operations will have to be strict enough to avoid Officers on either side requesting ridiculous things, but lenient enough to allow for creativity and unique interactions. I will not lay out exactly what I would want the rules to be in this case because I feel that is better left to staff with a better knowledge of the server as is, but I will say this; consider the effect it has on the limitations of roleplay. As far as appointing people to lead and run this faction, I will not make any case to suggest someone, however I would advise you choose someone with an able understanding of at least medium-level RP, and a decent comprehension of the creative process, on top of being capable of the regular duties of faction leaders. If requested, I can provide recommendations, but I will leave it to staff unless asked. That being said, I myself am making no bid to participate in this faction in any way. I have nothing to gain from this, and would merely like to see a level of RP be formally introduced to the server and executed properly. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask, because I probably forgot something. Thanks, shrimps.

  37. RP_DOWNTOWN_TITS_HALLOWEENGG Spooky season is upon us, and I had just finished creating the Halloween map we will be utilizing this year The map will likely go live within 4-5 days, so I will be sharing some screenshots in preparation for your guys!

  38. You asked for my final verdict, well, you have already forwarded me a screenshot of the trio directly stating they're "STEALING" our rules, and again, they chose to use the word "steal" - and I know nothing of the situation other than that. My only advice would be is that you stop appealing, give running a server a go and avoid burning too many bridges, because we will happily have you back over here once your plagiarized server fails as there is nothing original about it with a quarter the playerbase (???)

  39. Hello GG Community, With the recent release of quite possible the dumbest trailer I have made/seen I feel like there should be a more serious update to whats been going on behind the scenes. The lighting/general look isn't really captured in SFM so I wanted to show you what its gonna look like when you actually get in game. Also I have been working on upping the graphical fidelity of the map to make it feel more lived in and realistic. I wanna give you guys a lot more to do outside of war and more stuff to do in base. Plus the last time you saw what the level looks like it was far from being finished. This isnt all the progress that has been made but you can now get a sense of the style and direction the map is going in. (These are pretty much the only areas that are mostly finished and that I feel will represent what the final map will look like)

  40. Hello Garnet Gaming members, Following a bunch of messages in regards to the current situation, and although I prefer to handle things privately, in the effort of being transparent with you all, I figured it'd be best I make a proper thread to address our current situation, following the departure of Proggy, who held a management role within our community and was a long time member of our community. As of 8/10/2023, Proggy is no longer a part of our community or the overall management team. With that being said, just to clarify he is not banned or prohibited from re-joining our community and there is no bad blood. Proggy made the decision to depart from the community following a discussion about the state of our Rust community, and after 4 years of working together, I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. He is a fantastic individual who knew how to make those around him feel at ease. Being that many people had asked me about the reason for having made the decision of cutting the ties with Proggy as a member of our Rust roster, the reason is performance and finances. Our Rust community is a very expensive endeavor, and Proggy got delegated the task of their management as of this year - that was meant to be his sole role within the community - and anything more was done at the discretion of his own due to loving our DarkRP server. For full transparency - our goal in mind was to reboot said Rust servers, bring them up to standard, and allow for the purchase of packages within our store, allowing proggy to receive 100% of the profits they generate. Unfortunately this was met with no success (not solely at a fault of his own, but many external factors) - and after months and months of pushing back deadlines of when we will shut down Rust, this past weekend was a boiling point as our Rust servers hit a bottom low and became a COMPLETE liability. Throughout the recent decline of the Rust Community, I reached out to Proggy to renegotiate his terms (to his favor) on several occasions as I felt they were not fair with how much time he insisted on putting into the server; as well as the fact I was not seeing Rust do well and was trying to find ways to provide him a livable wage, but unfortunately these attempts felt very one-sided on my end, and he would either decline or never following through with re-negotiations. To transparently discuss the loss amount, it is north of $20,000. With that being said, no plan was determined for opening another server within a new game to dive into in order to create supplemental income for Proggy at this time, and it didn't seem like something that was worth exploring at the very last moment for either sides of us due to the turmoil. In regards to Rust, as this was a revolving question as well and understandably so since we have hundreds of members there, i'm trying to determine who would be the most experienced person to be hired for the task of managing our Rust community with identical conditions as a one last try type of deal, before closing off Rust entirely. I have had a DOZEN private applications upon Proggy's departure, but unfortunately, and as cheesy as this may sound, i'm currently re-evaluating alot of responsibilities I do and do not want to hold - because besides holding a high degree of a financial responsibility over another individual, I feel like the type of bond I had with Proggy isn't at all replaceable, and things will not feel the same. There are some external factors to this that have made life immensely stressful, consisting of some topics I hadn't brought up publicly, like me and my partner's miscarriage, my recent hospital visits, and at this point of time, going through a drastic change is anything but welcome - but i'll have to figure it out as the owner of this community. Thank you for reading through and being understanding, I hope many of you will stick around to see the changes the community will be going through as we focus on growing the playerbase and focusing on a more player-centric and community involved attitude. Because for the time being, I'll be dousing myself in server-related tasks to do anything but have to think through this ongoing situation

  41. Attention all members of our gaming community, We regret to inform you that we have recently been made aware that one of our players had been reported to allegedly have a history of child sex crimes and is a convicted sex felon. As a result, after many discussions amongst the management team, we have made the difficult decision to ban this player from our community. We want to make it clear that we do not condone any form of sexual misconduct or illegal behavior, especially when it involves minors. The safety of our community members, especially our younger members, is our top priority. As such, we determined the best course of action would be that user's removal from our online services. PLEASE NOTE: We urge all members to be cautious when creating contact with this individual. @Proggy has been made aware this alleged predator is creating contact with members of our community, claiming to be opening his own community now, which raised an enormous red flag on our radar. Moving forward, I urge all members to be cautious of others on the internet exhibiting concerning behavior, and PLEASE report any suspected behavior to us immediately. We are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all of our players. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation

  42. Hello Nut Gamers, i'm back in town and ready to roll some more contents onto the server, I took an entire week off where I didn't even check how well the servers are doing for the first time in a LONG TIIME and that was as refreshing as can be. I'm pumped to be back and tackle some of the issues with the servers. This time around I'll try to be more hands-on and potentially play the servers so long as harassment is kept to a minimum. Looking forward to seeing you guys!

  43. Howdy As the new Community Manager, I plan to guide the community in a positive direction. This means I will have oversight over all aspects of the community. I intend to act with a broad scope and allow server managers to run their respective servers while being as hands-off as possible. In certain cases, such as servers like MRP lacking current management, I will as defacto manager until we are able to fill the position with a suitable candidate. Please treat my words as closely to Garnet's in most cases unless expressed otherwise in regards to server decisions. If your server is running well, you won't be hearing much from me unless you are trying to get an update pushed out, with which I will work closely to make sure all the details get to Garnet. If the server is lacking, I will step in as minimally as possible until things get better. If you know me, you know I don't want to micro-manage, but I will get deeply involved if things are not improving. Right now, my primary focus will be on MRP. I hope we can work together to make our servers fun, friendly, and refreshing. DM me on Discord or TS if you ever have any questions or concerns.
