Moving your body IRL when Gaming

Have you ever realized that you have moved your body IRL? Trying to duck into cover or something like that? I know racing games people tend to do it more.

I've always done this in racing games, my parents have told me plenty stories of back when I was a kid playing Gran Turismo on the PS1, and how I used to do it then  I probably still do now! It's hard to tell when you're fully committed mid-corner, clipping that apex while waving at the guy you just passed who's now in P2, clinging on to a 10th of a second lead.... yea, I get carried away in racing games so I probably do actually come to think of it lmao

Sometimes when really immersed into COD Warzone with @Proggy, @Smity_, or @Ozzy, i'll duck IRL to get lower and avoid getting shot

I also turn my head in CSGO when trying to look at who's outside my FOV

When I fly in Arma 3 my lady tells me that I move my head a lot lmao. Since she's mentioned it that's mainly all I think about when I fly in any game now.

i don’t do this anymore but…

 

when i was young, i would play games like madden 15 and i would stand while playing. if i pulled a spin move or a juke in-game, that would correspond to me doing it irl

 

things got really bad when i would pull a hurdle or hit stick cause it would end in me running/jumping into stuff
